Julian was still in a meeting when his phone rang, he checked the caller ID to see it was Mattie.

He dropped the call but the call kept coming in until her message came up.

"Julian, please I need you... I am in the hospital,"

"I will end it all if you don’t show up," she replied again and he rolled his eyes.

"Please, I almost lost the baby... I am tired." she sent again, this time to make him frustrated he looked up at the remaining ones in the room.

"This meeting should be rescheduled. I need to deal with something," not waiting to hear from Ryan he walked out of the room leaving Ryan frustrated.

They had kept rescheduling this meeting for a while now and now that he got the opportunity to gather them he still disappointed them.

"I really can’t wait for this shit to be over," he mumbled to himself and Julian walked toward his car.

He tried to reach out to Astrid but her phone didn’t go through, so he called Mattie.

"Julian... Why did you just pick up my call? I need you. Please, I can’t take it in anymore please." Julian felt a bit heartbroken hearing her cry that way.

"Mattie, go straight to the point." He cut her off leaving her stunned.

"I am waiting for you then," she announced and Julian sighed, getting into his car and driving down to the hospital.

Seeing how he stepped in everyone’s head turned to him and all his mind was on Mattie.

"Oh my! Are they going to be together again?"

"Mattie Is also in the hospital and this must have brought Julain," Julian didn’t like the news he was listening to answer your question and quickly texted Ryan.

"Send to a press, I don’t want my coming to the hotel posted, a word to Astrid and I will destroy and some that do so." he got to the so-called room and Mattie was.

"Julian.." she mumbled spreading Her arms but Julain’s eye rested on Stephan who paced sound the room looking worried.

"Why are you just coming now? She needed you so much to fucking be with her! Stephan yelled and Julian scoffed, seeing how he was here already before him showed how much Stephan had cared so much for her.

How is he so stupid to miss all this and believe they both dont have anything together?

"You are here already, aren’t..".

"I get that you are still mad about hurting Astrid, but enough... you ruined the launching already, and we gain more loss. That is enough to pay for what..." His words were left hanging with the way he grabbed his neck slamming him against the wall.

"Julian!" she screamed, her hands stretched out in a pleading gesture.

"Don’t hurt him... he’s your friend, you can’t keep acting this way."

Julian let go of Stephan, his eyes flashing with anger. He turned and moved towards Mattie, who was standing with a drip in her hand, her face pale with pain.

"What’s going on, Mattie?" Julian asked, his voice low and even. "Why did you ask me to come here?"

Mattie’s eyes flashed with anger, and she spat out the words. "You never asked about my welfare, Julian. You never cared about how I was feeling. All you care about is that stupid Astrid."

Julian’s eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in anger. "I broke up with you already, Why are you still holding onto me?"

Mattie’s face twisted in a scowl. "You are only getting married to me because of the pregnancy. You don’t love me, Julian?"

Julian’s eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his voice even. "Yes, if that is what you think... I am getting married to you because of the family name, Mattie. I will honor my commitment to the child who I don’t even know if it’s mine."

Mattie’s eyes widened in shock.

"How dare you!" she spat. "How dare you accuse me of lying about the baby!"

Julian’s eyes flashed with anger, and he grabbed Mattie’s wrist, his grip tight. "I am not accusing you of lying, Mattie. I am just saying that I need to get a DNA test to make sure the baby is mine."

Mattie’s face twisted in a scowl, and she bit her lip in anger. "You are disgusting, Julian. I hate you."

She pulled off her necklace and threw it at Julian. "I don’t need this anymore. You can give it to Astrid, the one you love."

Julian’s eyes narrowed, and he picked up the necklace, his hands shoving it into his pocket. "We will see about that," he said, his voice cold.

He turned and walked out of the room, leaving Mattie and Stephan staring after him.

Stephan ran after Julian, catching up to him in the hallway. "Julian, why are you marrying her if you know the baby isn’t yours?"

Julian’s eyes flashed with anger, and he smirked. "Why does it trigger you so much, Stephan?"

Stephan’s eyes narrowed, "Because she is my friend, Julian. And I don’t want to see her get hurt."

Julian’s eyes narrowed, and he rolled his eyes. "Do what you want Stephan,"

He turned and walked away, leaving Stephan staring after him.

Julian drove down to Astrid’s villa, his mind reeling with thoughts. He walked in with his spare key, his eyes scanning the room for Astrid.

There he found her in the living room couch, her eyes lost in thought. He walked towards her, his eyes fixed on hers.

"Astrid?" he said, his voice low.

But she didn’t respond. Her eyes were fixed on the necklace in his hand, her expression unreadable.

"Where did you get that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper as she moved closer to him.

Julian’s eyes narrowed, and he hesitated for a moment before speaking. "It’s from Mattie."

Astrid’s eyes flashed with anger, and she scoffed. "Wow, so the bitch has been stealing things from me right from when we were kids."
