Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion
Chapter 228 - 227: Cosmic executioner

A black spaceship landed on a gloomy planet as Jake stepped out.

He was back at the base.

He didn't know exactly where the Chains were, but he had a feeling they were hidden within the inner city.

As soon as Jake disembarked, the spaceship vanished.

With a few strides, Jake appeared at the Mission Hall and headed to the same spot he had visited before.

He sat down and waited.

After all, this was where he first met her. So he believed—no, knew—he'd meet her here again.

Minutes passed until, finally, he felt a subtle pressure beside him.

Opening his eyes, he saw a beautiful face gazing into his.

"Chain of Silence…" Jake muttered with respect, as Nix smiled lightly.

"You've broken through. How do you feel?" Nix asked.

"Stronger than ever," Jake replied with a grin.

"Good. I have another mission for you," Nix said as Jake adjusted his posture. The last mission had helped him break through smoothly… what would this one be?

"I want you to find someone," Nix said, snapping her fingers.

A holographic image appeared—young, male. Jake furrowed his brows.

"Chain of Silence… where is he?" Jake asked. Now that he had the face, if he just had a location, tracking him down wouldn't be difficult.

"It's unstable," Nix replied. "But what I can tell you is… it's tied to the Federation's core and the military."

And just like that, she vanished.

"But... that's—" Jake paused. What the hell? How did she expect him to find that?

Military, huh… Jake pondered.

"This is a hard mission," he thought. "It's like finding a red marble at the bottom of the sea."

The vastness of the sea would make the red marble nearly impossible to find—and this was no different.

But Jake had no choice but to obey.

"The spaceship is yours now," said a familiar voice just as Jake exited the Mission Hall.

Derek—one of the first Cosmic Executioners—stood there .

"Thank you," Jake replied, glancing at the ship he had been traveling in.

"No need. You're now a Cosmic Executioner, no longer a Dreadborne. Your strength and benefits have increased. I heard you've been given a mission, so I won't delay you further."

Derek handed him a small box. "check this."

Jake accepted it without a word. The box felt light, but he knew it held something important.

Derek nodded and vanished.

Jake flew up to the hovering ship, reaching out to touch its sleek, smooth exterior.

He'd never dared to touch it so casually before—it always felt like the ship had a will of its own. But now… it was his.

He entered the ship's open hull and walked to the main control seat, opening the box.

"Let's see what's inside," Jake muttered.

Inside were only two items: a round metallic object and a transparent scroll.

Jake frowned. "What do I do with this?"

He picked up the metal piece first. The moment his finger touched it, it dissolved and surged into his body.

Startled, Jake quickly scanned himself—and was shocked.

His soul was bound to the metal.

It couldn't be removed—not unless he killed himself.

Suddenly, a flood of information invaded his mind.

So many things became clear.

First, the hierarchy of the Dreadborne organization.

The Abyssal Throne wasn't just an empty title—it was a being. Or more precisely, it was the being.

According to the knowledge flooding him, all Chains were under this one entity. He was their leader—and the leader of the Dreadborne organization. Contact with him could only occur after reaching the multi-universal level.

Jake, by contrast, was merely in the galaxy realm.

Below the Abyssal Throne were the Chains.

Below them… were the Cosmic Executioners.

There were ten Executioners. Now, with Jake, they were eleven.

The round metal object bound to his soul was his identification—it marked him as a Cosmic Executioner.

"Interesting," Jake thought, watching his new responsibilities unfold in his mind.

He finally understood the scroll too—it was the key to controlling the spaceship.

With a wave of his hand, a cut appeared on his palm. A drop of blood fell onto the scroll.

"Whoa," Jake gasped. The scroll disintegrated the moment it touched his blood.

Then came the strange feeling…

The spaceship—responded.

It felt like a part of him. Like a limb.

He suddenly knew everything: the deck, the bedrooms, the training center… all fully accessible now. Before, only an open space had been available to him. Now, every room was unlocked.

Even more—he could see around the ship, a full 360-degree vision of its exterior.

"Search for the military base coordinates and set course," Jake said aloud.

A pop-up appeared before him:

[Coordinates found. Course set. Engine ready. Space warp in motion. Time: 0.9999657 seconds]

"Instant…?" Jake grinned.

How was this ship created? he wondered.

From here, he could see the entire multiverse mapped out. The destination lay across 300 universes—yet the ship would reach it in under a second.

The speed was terrifying.

But what stunned him even more was the knowledge flowing into his mind—details about universes he hadn't known before.

A normal universe was roughly the size of one Mythological Unit. It could grow over time, but to reach a second Mythological Unit required immense energy—either through the strength of its inhabitants or other qualifying conditions.

Then came mid-level universes, ranging from ten to a hundred Mythological Units. These devoured other universes to evolve.

After that were high-level universes, spanning a thousand to tens of thousands of Mythological Units. Massive and incredibly powerful.

Finally, above all, were multi-universes—combinations of multiple universes.

Their own multi-universe contained tens of thousands of universes, ranging from low-level to almost-high-level. It was vast… powerful… and on the verge of evolving into an Omniverse.

"This… I never knew any of this," Jake whispered. "Is this what a universe truly is? Only beings at the universal level probably know these things. But because I'm now part of the Dreadborne… I know it even at the galaxy realm."

He grinned.

"Take off," Jake said softly.

The spaceship shimmered, then collapsed into a thin line and vanished.

Space shattered—straight into the third layer.
