Chapter 351 - 167 Faya’s Game
Chapter 351: 167 Faya’s Game
Revisiting old places, Yang Ming actually felt a bit nervous.
The legendary Levi Sherman had lost his resonance with the Intelligent Mechanic Dusk without warning,
and how to resonate with this high-dimensional civilization relic was something those three old guys couldn’t clearly explain; they couldn’t fully comprehend the operational mechanism of the entire relic base.
The Feinan drifted into the dust cloud, slowly approaching the central region in the direction it had previously recorded.
The faint sound of collisions echoed in the bridge of the Feinan; the ship was in blackout mode everywhere, and Yang Ming kept his nerves taut as he edged closer to this ’blessed land’ that had brought him endless benefits.
Finally...
"You’ve returned so quickly."
That familiar voice suddenly rang out; it was the Tomb Guardian.
Before Yang Ming could respond, the Tomb Guardian followed up with:
"Oh, you’ve successfully heard my summons, which is commendable; at least it proves you are still as pure as you were back then and have not lost yourself under the superlimit advantages we provided."
A shallow beam of light appeared outside the porthole.
The beam swept back and forth, and a white light spot appeared in front of Yang Ming’s eyes, following which he lost contact with the Feinan and Lyu.
The second time, familiarity set in.
Yang Ming remained very calm, also skipping the ’introduction’ process from last time.
By the time he regained his vision and perception, three stick figures were already standing in front of him, with names that Yang Ming could directly read hovering above their heads.
Tomb Guardian.
Examiner.
Patroller.
The Examiner said cheerfully, "Lyu is still going through the security check; her independent thinking is even better, which is great... shall we start the assessment? I am eager to see the Level 1 civilization you’ve managed. Rest assured, child, our assessment has a lot of flexibility. I will help you; we desperately hope a candidate can complete five assessments."
Yang Ming was a bit puzzled.
Lyu, a Mechanical Thought Body, actually needed a security check, yet he had entered directly.
"Must the assessment be conducted?" Yang Ming asked.
"Yes, it’s a written rule," the Examiner laughed. "Could it be you’ve encountered some difficult problem seeking our help? Oh, you already took everything we can give you during that period."
Yang Ming said, "I wanted to consult on some matters related to high-dimensional civilization."
The three stick figures exchanged glances.
Yang Ming knew it was their way of communicating, showing their interest in the matter.
Yang Ming continued, "The assessment can proceed normally. I am prepared; I’m more concerned about this consultation. It confuses me greatly. I am unable to know where I came from or where I should go, unsure if my existence holds meaning or if all I’m doing now has already affected the future outcome."
"He posed a philosophical question."
"He’s discussing the meaning of existence."
"He’s contemplating the law of causality."
The three stick figures quickly expanded into long-limbed, long-necked old men, looking at Yang Ming full of curiosity.
"Oh, young man, you are finally no longer the Subordinate Ancient God Life Form that only knows how to train muscle fibers primitively."
"Come on, tell us, what problem have you encountered?"
"After countless ages of contemplation, we are somewhat knowledgeable in philosophy."
Yang Ming: ...
This is what you call a targeted approach.
He exhaled lightly to relax, his eyes full of sincerity.
He needed to find out the truth of things so he wouldn’t take the wrong path.
"I will start from the moment I opened my eyes. Apologies for hiding these things from you before, but I think some secrets should exist between friends.
"When I first opened my eyes, I was on a Sherman Empire research ship."
...
Yang Ming narrated for about three Galaxy Times.
He provided detailed information to these elders of mechanical civilizations, including the destruction of Earth’s mother planet, consciousness fusion, the "Abyss," the second player, the third player, among other things.
Lyu appeared beside him from time to time, supplementing some information.
"This is the problem I currently face. I want to know what kind of environment my mother planet is in."
The Tomb Guardian and the Examiner slowly shook their heads.
"Sorry, child, I cannot help you with this," the Tomb Guardian said. "My duty is to guard here, supervise the changes, and endow the place where our Creator has passed away with lasting significance."
"I can’t help you either," the Examiner said. "I am in charge of a wealth of knowledge that can make a low-level civilization rise rapidly, responsible for making the lost high-level civilization shine again."
Yang Ming felt a bit gloomy in his heart.
But the Patroller soon said: "I have been observing the civilizational changes in the Milky Way; I think I can answer you on this issue."
Yang Ming: ...
So, the previous two shaking their heads was pure existence grabbing?
Advanced mechanical civilization, understands the art of highlighting by alternating highs and lows.
Lyu beside asked, "Teacher, could you give a direct summary of my master’s mother planet’s status now?"
"Faya’s game."
The Patroller crossed his hands in front of him, showing a faint smile to the two.
Seeing Yang Ming and Lyu look eager because of the lack of information, the Patroller felt a bit satisfied and continued slowly:
"This thing is not within the classified matters, nor does it concern our civilization, so I can explain it to you in detail... how about we change the environment?"
Just as Yang Ming nodded, the Patroller pressed a button on that ’remote’, and instantly he and Lyu appeared in a triangular room filled with gentle light.
This was true minimalism, with only one table, and two chairs, all laden with equilateral triangle elements.
