The noble said in a solemn voice, “You are able to discern Pude’s chronic illness and possible deformity… By what principle, I’m not sure, nor do I care, but I trust you have this ability.”

“Since that’s the case, I would like to ask you, Ian, to take a look at Cometes’ current condition.”

“Of course.

It’s my honor.”

Ian nodded, responding earnestly.

He had purposely brought up this topic in front of Viscount Grant and demonstrated his Spirit Energy ability, all to induce the other party to invite him to examine his child.

Ian understood very well how much Viscount Grant valued his child and was also aware of the concerns a father has for his unborn child—could the child inherit his bloodline?

Would he have any congenital deformities or deficiencies?

These matters could all be mitigated in advance, but someone capable of seeing through them before the child was born was exceedingly rare.

Such a person needed to be at least a Spirit Energy User of the Third Energy Level Heart Light Stage.

The requirement was almost impossibly high.

Viscount Grant didn’t have enough standing to invite a Third Energy Level powerhouse over to examine his child.

So, with Ian displaying this ability, there was no way he would let this opportunity slip by.

As for why Ian wanted to examine Viscount Grant’s child… The motivation was actually quite simple.

Ian still didn’t fully understand how the ‘Bloodline Nobility’ inheritance worked—especially how an infant in the womb developed the ‘Seed of Ascension,’ an entity that allowed them to save substantial amounts of Magic Potion materials.

As someone intent on forging a path different from the traditional Bloodline True Form, Ian had already thoroughly researched the True Form but lacked adequate observation of the relatively primitive bloodline.

Viscount Grant and his child, Cometes, who was also destined to be his future disciple, were extremely significant ‘samples.’

Since Ian agreed, the Viscount wasted no time and personally led them to the third floor where his wife’s room was located.

The Viscountess, Lady Klendell, was the cousin of Fiscal Officer Lamar; the siblings were both members of the Viscount’s inner circle—something entirely unremarkable on Terra.

In fact, the fact that the Viscount genuinely favored this pair of siblings already made him one of the purer romantics among the nobles.

“Ailes?

And Ian, little Elan… Oh, Elder Pude, you’re here too?

What’s going on today…”

A red-haired beauty, sitting in a lounge chair sunbathing with her large belly prominently visible, greeted the group with some surprise.

Lady Klendell naturally recognized Ian and Elan, not because Ian often borrowed books from the Viscount’s Mansion, but because she was the owner of the flower shop Elan particularly loved.

Lamar had briefly looked after the shop on her behalf, and the siblings both enjoyed interacting with someone like Elan, who genuinely shared their passion for plants.

Both Viscount Grant and Ian were pleased with this dynamic—this emotional bond was precisely the kind of connection they needed, transcending mere transactional ties.

“My dear, today I invited Ian to check on your health, and also on Cometes,”

The Viscount approached his wife’s seat, spoke to her tenderly, and then conveyed the purpose of their visit.

Lady Klendell certainly wouldn’t refuse; having a Spirit Energy User assess their child’s condition was a standard procedure among major noble families on Terra before childbirth.

She merely sighed and remarked, “Never thought I’d enjoy this treatment as well.”

“Pardon me, Boss Lady, I’m here to check on our future little boss,”

Ian stepped forward, smiling as he teased.

Lady Klendell giggled as he activated his Foresight View and Silver Chip to observe the unborn child within her belly.

“Hmm…”

His brows knit slightly, not because the ‘results were bad,’ but out of sheer amazement: “Could it really be like this…”

In Ian’s eyes, the Viscount and Lady Klendell’s child was developing very well, scoring at least a 9.7 out of 10 in terms of health.

The missing fraction was due to Lady Klendell’s less-than-ideal aptitude; even though Viscount Grant had recently transformed her bloodline to match his own ‘Abyssal Whale’ lineage, her inherent compatibility with the Water Series bloodline inheritance was still low, being originally one of the Crimson People from the Fiery Flame Land.

Nonetheless, this didn’t affect Cometes at all.

The unborn child, already named, remained in slumber yet had several faintly glowing blue mist-like points of light within his body.

“That’s it—the bloodline seed, the basis of ascension… It’s the critical foundation that allows Bloodline Nobility to maintain their dominant position on Terra Continent!”

Ian held his breath as he closely examined the blue points of light.

Currently, families with sustained production of strong descendants were all from the ‘bloodline system.’ The Sunbird lineage of the Sertar Empire and the Moon Candle Bird lineage of the Duke of Solin exemplified this system; each generation consistently produced individuals at the Fourth Energy Level or higher, ensuring a stable and powerful nation.

While True Form was indeed strong and could be passed down in large numbers, it lacked stability.

Though a powerhouse might occasionally emerge, it couldn’t guarantee that their successors would inherit the same strength.

This explained why Terra had numerous so-called Fifth Energy Level inheritances, yet the actual number of truly Fifth Energy Level strong individuals remained scarce.
