These crude spherical iron ores, under the influence of strong magnetic forces, were constantly expanding, splitting, and re-aggregating, accelerating around the tail of the Pterosaur.
During this process, they were continually magnetized and purified.
With the enhancement of rainbow-colored magnetic fields, the iron ores were accelerated amidst a dazzling supersonic boom and then disintegrated and crumbled in a bright flare of light.
Great swathes of iron rain plummeted toward the ground.
Like meteors.
“Defense!
Counterattack!”
Scott looked up at this scene, he had even anticipated these iron meteors’ fall and issued orders in advance.
And on the ground, the tarp-covered foundation of the Alchemy Workshop was suddenly thrown off, as dazzling cyan-blue electric lights lit up on the iron braces.
They resonated with each other, spinning and unfolding, eventually forming a cyan electromagnetic field.
The iron meteors fell at several times the speed of sound, almost instantly crossing a distance of two kilometers, and struck the electromagnetic field—the piercing noises of scraping and electric pulsation echoed throughout Xia Hui City, inciting a panicky scream.
But these electromagnetic meteors, which could have destroyed half of the city, did not cause any damage.
After the smell of burning metal faded and the dust dispersed, the four electromagnetic shields, transformed from Magnetic Storm Coils, remained intact, although two were overloaded but still usable by a narrow margin.
And at the center of the defense, a nondescript black turret, which had calibrated its data through prior observations and attacks, now had its crystal core shimmering, charging energy.
Then, a thick stream of light cut through the sky and clouds, striking the unprepared Great Dragon, who never thought its attack would be defended against or counterattacked—
But it was blocked.
Crackling—Blinding white light scattered in all directions.
The Prism Cannon, with power enough to once pierce a castle or melt the top of a mountain, was on the edge of reaching the Third Energy Level.
Its highly concentrated Origin Quality light was distinct from ordinary lasers and capable of penetrating the Heart-Light Shields of Third Energy Level beings.
Even if blocked, its scattered beams were enough to shred the clouds, leaving searing yet dark traces in the sky and in people’s eyes.
But here comes the question—what can block light?
The answer is the heart.
The leading Great Dragon, sensing the bad omen the moment the iron meteors were intercepted, instantly let out a long chant and thought, conjuring a colossal black dragon made of shadows and placing it in front of itself.
Heart Light Body ‘Shadow Dragon’.
The Heart Light Body that appeared before the Great Dragon was even larger than its own body, with wider wings and thicker armored scales.
In addition, it possessed claws akin to those of a True Dragon, extremely sharp.
For Magical Beasts, their Heart Light Bodies not only manifest the enhanced version of their inherent abilities but also their ‘imagined evolutionary form’.
This Ironwing Dragon was clearly the latter.
If it could continue to evolve along the form of its Heart Light Body, elevating itself, it could transform into a ‘Special Subspecies’ of that Magical Beast and leave behind a new, unique Bloodline for a new lineage.
Just like this Great Dragon, if it could reach the Fourth Energy Level, it would pioneer a completely new ‘Shadow Winged Dragon’ Bloodline lineage, which for Magical Beasts, might well be considered their ‘True Form’.
The Heart Light Body Shield constructed by the ‘Shadow Dragon’ deflected the Prism Cannon.
The Ironwing Dragon originally intended to use the Heart Light Body’s special power to devour the light stream, but found that the Origin Quality was too concentrated and could not be utilized, only refracted—this hasty refraction, however, was overly abrupt, and it watched in furious shock as two of its wingmates fell from the sky, wailing.
After all, the Prism Cannon was a city-breaking level weapon crafted by Ian, powerful enough to knock these Second Energy Level Ironwing Dragons from the sky.
Indeed, the Great Dragon was unharmed but had lost the wingmates that covered itself.
“Is it my turn to take action?” Adalbert stepped out from behind the Prism Cannon; it was he who had just used Third Energy Level power to secretly aim and lock onto the Ironwing Dragon and cloak the entire position’s presence.
The white-haired Deceased Monarch looked up, with some hesitation in his mind, “But the Empire’s Dragoon Squad is nearby, do I really need to take action?
I must absolutely not reveal myself.”
He still lacked battle experience.
If Ian were here, he would surely pursue the victory, even if it meant overloading and burning out the Prism Cannon with another shot—however, Adalbert felt somewhat attached to the weapon he had personally shaped and was reluctant to allow it to be expended.
But it didn’t matter much because, with a sharp burst of sound, the Armor Suit of the Dragoon Squad propelled by flames quickly hurtled towards the unsuspecting Ironwing Dragons.
Simultaneously, several grappling hooks intended for binding shot out from its back, all magnetized, shooting directly towards the wings of the Ironwing Dragons and latching on.
However, such tactics might work against Ordinary Ironwing Dragons, but could a Third Energy Level Great Dragon really be troubled by such tricks?
The Great Dragon folded its wings, then its massive body unfurled with the lightness of a butterfly, its magnetic field rapidly spinning to deflect the hooks.
