Chapter 878 - 878 60 The Great Wind Rises Major W_2

878: Chapter 60 The Great Wind Rises (Major Chapter W)_2 878: Chapter 60 The Great Wind Rises (Major Chapter W)_2 The Sacred Temple was falling apart.

The entire Jiamu Mountain was rumbling — yes, the mountain made of rock was incredibly stable, and the Mountain People, skilled in Earth-elemental skills, had reinforced their Sacred Temple generation after generation with their power, even forming a natural Inscription Array, which allowed their temple to coexist with the mountain as the most solid shelter.

But who wasn’t an Earth Ascender?

Ian had long seen through the core of the complex Inscription Array in Jiamu Mountain and had glimpsed its flaws, should the inheritor of The Unyielding Fortress truly intend to destroy it.

Then, even the mountains would tremble.

Boom!

On the southeast side of Jiamu Mountain, a rock platform was collapsing; a pillar supporting the Grand Hall fell too, the recently renovated smooth mountain paths and the plaza in front of the temple at the mountainside were full of dense cracks, and the rock layers also made ‘crack’ sounds of breaking due to the collapse and burst of inner forces, just like biscuits crushed by a noble lady during afternoon tea.

Crash—The outer layer of Jiamu Sacrificial Grand Hall collapsed, tilting and falling to the right, a large amount of rocks and building debris rolling down the mountain, accompanied by the previous heavy rain, resembling a small landslide.

The desperate cries of Jiamu Priests sounded as if he himself were buried under the mud and rocks, but in reality, it wasn’t much different; with the Grand Hall collapsing like this, no excuse would work.

He was doomed as soon as the Chieftain returned.

Ian did not hear this desperate scream, as he had already left the Jiamu Sect, heading toward the nearby Iron Dragon Nest.

The Iron Dragon Nest was located in the Sol Mountain Range to the northwest of the Jiamu Sect.

A row of towering mountains shot straight into the sky, encircling and forming a basin in the center, from afar, it looked like a supermassive volcanic vent, or a nest.

That was the core Holy Ground of the Mountain People, the nest ‘Iron Dragon Nest’ where the Qiang Steel Dragon God used to slumber.

Gazing at the Iron Dragon Nest from afar, even Ian was moved by this basin formed by mountains—it was indeed soul-stirring, majestic, and the real Iron Dragon Nest was located in a huge cavity underground.

After all, dragons don’t actually need rest; the phenomenon of dragon slumber is merely because the Qiang Steel Dragon of the past had fought too much, often using secret methods to hibernate and heal.

From the outside, the encircled high mountains looked normal, but looking outward from the inside of the Dragon Nest, all the inner sides of the mountains were tainted by the power of the True Dragon, gradually metallizing.

This was the origin of the name Iron Dragon Nest.

As time gradually moved towards night, the sky turned overcast, with thick clouds densely covering, and intertwined purple-red clouds flickered on the horizon.

Ian stood at the foot of Iron Dragon Nest, tilting his head upwards towards the cloud-covered mountaintop, closing his eyes, feeling.

Unlike Qiang Steel Sacred Mountain and Dazzling Lake, there were no fragments of the ‘Heavenfall Spaceship’ in the Iron Dragon Nest—essentially, this place was mainly where Qiang Steel Dragon rested and healed, likely its laboratory or healing room of sorts, in short, it wouldn’t bring Ian any more clues about the pre-era civilization and Infernal Heaven secrets.

But that didn’t mean it contained no secrets.

Its existence alone might represent the greatest secret of Quenched Steel Dragon Solstina…

the truth behind the True Dragons.

Ian could vaguely sense that the circular structure of the Iron Dragon Nest itself was deliberately crafted by Quenched Steel Dragon Solstina back then, forming a supermassive Spirit Energy Field, containing many complex Inscription Arrays known as ‘Mystic Locks’.

This Mystic Lock’s authority and the Silver Chip were not the same system but related to True Dragon technology, however, for Ian, it was still within his ability to decode.

After all, his body indeed contained Dragon Blood.

Ian could sense the Bloodline vibrating within him, the same with both Aether Crystal and Ancient Dragon Heart Core.

“Aether Crystal?”

Noticing the growing warmth emanating from his left arm, Ian couldn’t help but feel surprised; it was understandable for the Ancient Dragon Heart Core, but why would the Aether Crystal also react to the Iron Dragon Nest?

Moreover, just now… he indeed sensed a familiar presence from the Iron Dragon Nest.

Not the familiarity of Qiang Steel Dragon or Dragon Blood, but another kind, which he had once perceived in the South Sea Great Labyrinth.

Soon, Ian remembered what that presence was.

“Spark!”

Ian’s eyes widened, realizing the origin of this familiarity— it was a kind reminiscent of Terra’s current ecosystem, just like in the South Sea Great Labyrinth, which formed an anomalous ecosystem orbiting around several extraterrestrial ecological Sparks!

The Iron Dragon Nest, perhaps in those years, was gradually influenced by Qiang Steel Dragon to form a Spark Ecosystem!

Though four hundred years had passed, many species that initially existed solely within the Iron Dragon Nest had already spread outside, turning into many local Magical Beasts, namely the Iron-type Earth Magical Beasts abundant in the Bison Mountain Range.

And the original design goal of the Crystal Dragon was to serve as the core of a Heterogenous Ecosystem…

which is why it reacted to the Iron Dragon Nest!

Thinking this, Ian suddenly began to understand: “The Crystal Dragons are older than the current generation of True Dragons on Terra—that is a fact, but perhaps, the True Dragons on Terra are the fourth and fifth generation True Dragons capable of natural reproduction, as mentioned by Qiang Steel Dragon?”
