(5600)_3 “In other words, it is still in the latent period, likely conducting biological experiments in the underground ecosystem of the South Sea Great Labyrinth.”
“Bloodhunter is the initial result of these biological experiments, a ground combat unit created in conjunction with the Crystal Carpet, and it’s the only thing this not yet fully developed Swarm can bring to the table.”
“So…
perfect.” Ian muttered excitedly to himself.
This timing of the Swarm, perfect for experimenting with ideas he had thought about but hadn’t had the conditions to execute!
Of course, no matter what guidance, Ian was aiding their invasion of Terra World.
But Ian didn’t care about that—there wasn’t a shred of unease in his heart.
After all, it’s a parallel world, perfect for conducting experiments.
Thus, Ian directly sent the opposing Swarm a set of ideas and data related to ‘Artificial Soul’.
Adalbert had started related research a few days ago but hadn’t yet created an actual product; however, Ian had already learned this knowledge from him.
Now was the perfect time to use it as guidance to enlighten the Star-Seeking Swarm.
But just as the Swarm’s ‘Bloodhunter’ itself wasn’t particularly useful, the biological experiment details and the included ‘Swarm Spirit Network’ were actually quite useful.
The important aspect of the Artificial Soul isn’t the technology itself but the ideas Ian provided.
[No need to use the resources of a corner of the Southern Sea to develop power to confront the entire world… You probably don’t know how deep the waters behind Terra are; sheer confrontation won’t allow the Swarm to defeat these Fifth Energy Level forces]
[Lie low, assimilate, covertly develop, don’t confront… Don’t develop the Swarm to increase numbers, but attempt to integrate into Humanity, letting us become Humans, letting Humans become us]
[Selectively empower potential Humans with souls, experiment behind their backs, and spread influence]
[Absorb those who are desperate about human society, like the refugees in the Western Territory or adventurers exploring the Labyrinth, pick out the intelligent and talented, help them become Sublimators, excellent technicians, researchers, or famed adventurers, becoming our foundation]
[Subtly change their thought patterns, assimilate them into our thought network]
[Establish secret organizations or sects, conceal our identities… Those special Humans who can accept us will appear outwardly as ‘Clerics’ with special abilities and doctrines… Terra is vast, we won’t be suspected]
[Give up direct confrontation, give up direct brainwashing and parasitism, abandon any seeming straightforward, highly effective ‘shortcuts’…
Securely develop, using ‘souls’ as the subject, growing among Humans]
This was the conclusion Ian reached after reflecting on his dreams of the Worm Nest.
Back then, he hadn’t seen Imperial Capital, didn’t know how strong the Fifth Energy Level was, nor did he know the strength of the Huai Guang Church’s Prophecy power, so relying on his superficial knowledge in South Ridge, he attacked after six years of growth—only to be defeated by the allied forces, as expected.
This was the error of being too young.
If he had known this key information from the start, Ian definitely wouldn’t have acted as he did, instead opting for this more cautious and appeasing approach.
As for the effectiveness of this method…
Isn’t Ian currently experimenting?
An entire parallel world this vast made for a perfect lab to conduct significant societal and species invasion experiments, enriching the data library!
He felt like he was crossing the river by feeling the stones.
And, not just that.
—As long as he maintained contact, the next time he guided, he would still connect to this Swarm World Line.
Ian believed he might just freeload the ‘Swarm-Optimized Version of Artificial Soul’ technology from them?
—Right?
It’s not impossible!
As Ian, who vowed to freeload all technologies of Terra, wouldn’t spare even his own parallel world selves!
“The power of the Guiding Star… indeed strong.
Like my Foresight View, it does not grant direct combat power but needs slow development!”
After sending over the related materials, Ian felt refreshed—the next step was to wait, to wait for his parallel world self to produce results, then simply reclaim them!
This kind of idle scientific research, exploiting technologies as a freeloader, it really was a good deal he stumbled upon, truly worthy of his Spirit Energy!
Afterwards, Ian tried to initiate the Spirit Disaster Path.
But there was no response.
Ian could sense that the lack of response from Spirit Disaster Path wasn’t because he hadn’t reached the Third Energy Level… but rather because the prerequisites were not sufficient.
“Not enough people guided by me…”
Ian muttered to himself.
He realized that his ability to summon the ‘Bloodhunter’ was not only due to the Primal Aether he had condensed but also because of the Mountain People of the Abode Tribe.
Ian looked up towards the direction where the Mountain People were celebrating the rekindling of the Sacrificial Flame on Holy Mountain, pondering: “So, to activate the abilities of Guiding Star, I need enough people ‘who have been guided by me and are willing to believe in me’.”
“Because of Holy Mountain, these Mountain People are willing to believe in me and follow the path I guide, thus supporting my Heart Light Body to connect with the Swarm…
but that’s all there is, to connect with the Swarm while also connecting with Spirit Disaster requires many more believers.”
The people guided by Ian, their faith could be utilized by his Heart Light Body to condense a unique form of Spirit Energy, transforming it into a ‘communication channel’ connecting parallel worlds.
However, there were few who could provide strong belief, with ordinary people relying on sheer numbers.
Ian could also give up connecting with the Swarm to connect with Spirit Disaster instead… but then, his idle scientific research and technology freeloading progress would be halted, and the next time he wished to contact that guided Swarm among countless parallel worlds…
It’s not to say it’s impossible, but generally, it depends on fate.
To connect with both the Swarm and Spirit Disaster simultaneously, just having the Abode Tribe isn’t enough, even adding Xiawei Territory isn’t enough—Ian needs to further expand his territories, develop more people, let more people believe in him and be guided by him.
“Interesting, it’s quite like the Deceased Monarch, but a much healthier model of gathering collective effort.”
“Perhaps, the me on the Spirit Disaster Path got inspiration from this aspect, that’s why the subsequent Spirit God Belief System was developed.”
As for the Path of the Swarm… the Heart Light Body of the Swarm probably isn’t the Guiding Star.
In fact, even the Ian of the Spirit Disaster Path might not be the Guiding Star, but since both developed from the Foresight View’s Heart Light Body, having similar functions isn’t strange.
It could even be said that Ian’s Guiding Star could be a platform connecting his many parallel selves?
Thinking this, Ian slightly curled up the corners of his mouth: “Is this the power of the Heart Light Body…
simply incredible.”
“Really curious, what kind of power do other Prophets’ Heart Light Bodies possess.”
Ian withdrew the Guiding Star—just like Elder Mantle, even if he had the support of an Ancient Dragon Heart Core and Tai Crystal, with his foundation, he couldn’t maintain the Heart Light Body for too long.
The silhouette of the Bloodhunter also completely collapsed, transforming into a crimson streak of light and returning into the gem of the Crown of Stars.
In the future, Ian could summon it out again by paying Primal Aether.
Elder Mantle went to rest, and Ian also went to rest and wait, awaiting the arrival of the King of the Mountain.
Time flew by, and as Ian was resting, he felt a peculiar Spirit Energy Fluctuation approaching from afar, seemingly communicating with him.
[Please hold on, I’ll be there soon]
That was a soft female voice, indeed the voice of the King of the Mountain.
The King of the Mountain had arrived.
However, unlike the majestic giant dragon Ian had initially encountered,
this time, it was a graceful and gentle woman who appeared before Ian in the Abode Tribe.
