Chapter 779 - 779 27 Emissary of the Dragon God
779: Chapter 27: Emissary of the Dragon God 779: Chapter 27: Emissary of the Dragon God Ian faced the Serpent Rock Armor without saying a word, calmly walking forward.
Wherever he passed, frost scattered, and the river a few meters deep froze over as well.
The black soil and the semi-transparent river water beneath the young man’s feet turned snow white, causing rows of ice cones to spike up around him, emanating a thick Water Element Origin.
Ice blossoms bloomed on the ground.
Oppositely, the Frost Comet Spout on Ian’s back stopped spewing cold air and instead released extremely hot steam, creating vast clouds that enshrouded the entire river region.
Serpent Rock was at a loss; he was operating the Armor Suit, clad in Armored Clothing, with an abundance of weapons and potions, richer and better equipped than any time in the past forty years—but even so, facing the youth of the White Folks, he still felt as exposed as if he were naked, as though everything had been seen through, devoid of any sense of security.
Serpent Rock never fought unprepared battles, which was why he was chosen as the commander of the Mountain People’s expeditionary force against Leyan City.
But because of this, he had never considered facing someone in direct combat.
One-on-one, face-to-face.
“Don’t come any closer!”
Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, and Serpent Rock let out an uncharacteristic shout.
The over four-meter-tall Armor Suit lifted its drill-like right hand.
The high-speed rotating drill could not only bore through soil and rock but could also directly crush Armor and Armored Clothing—yet this dangerous weapon failed to convey a sense of danger, reflecting instead the unease of its master.
As if deaf to it all, Ian saw the rotating drill reflected in his green pupils, spinning so slowly it seemed like an outdated electric fan—just stretch out a hand gently…
and it could be stopped.
With this thought, he chuckled, the young man walking slowly forward, his Heavy Abyss Iron Sword in hand, coated with visible frost.
This was the sword that completely split Zhenzhou and her Armor Suit, along with the ten-meter-tall mud Giants.
Now, however, Ian instead sheathed his sword.
He put the sword back into its scabbard, causing the Mountain Tribes Chieftain to unconsciously widen his eyes.
—What, what is he planning to do?
Could it be that he thinks I’m not worthy of him using his sword?!
Thinking this, a surge of fury and a wave of fear erupted from within.
Serpent Rock’s reason told him that Ian right now was extremely dangerous, but he also knew he had no chance of escape; the Ian who had just sheathed his sword revealed the only flaw he could grasp.
—Should I run, or should I fight?
Unable to bear the pressure, Serpent Rock was, after all, from the Mountain People.
So, with a roar, he charged at the sword-sheathing Ian.
Even though Serpent Rock’s Armor was modified from an engineering model, the thick core Armored Clothing and the blade-tooth structure surrounding it had turned it into a war machine designed for underground surprise assaults.
In both offense and defense, it was among the best of the Fifth Generation Armor.
The Armor’s charge, for the creatures of Terra, was like waging war against civilization itself.
It represented the pinnacle of technological Crystals and once in motion was unstoppable like a locomotive, causing even Magical Beasts to keep their distance.
Especially that rapidly rotating drill, which had even formed a small tornado along the arm, concentrated with the power to pierce through walls.
But in Ian’s eyes, it was nothing more than a slowly spinning object that could be ‘stopped’.
—Just like that.
As the drill pressed towards him, Ian took a small step forward, and the ice on the ground immediately shattered and spread from his footstep, forming a perfectly round depression—at the edge of this depression, pale golden Earth Essence Crystal Lattice was rapidly lighting up and taking shape.
The majestic intertwining of Water and Earth Essence enveloped him, faintly revealing a strong Armor Suit phantom around the young man’s body.
Ian raised his left hand, and the phantom’s gauntlet did the same, confronting the Serpent Rock Armor’s rotary arm head-on.
Boom!
At that moment, an ear-piercing metal scratching noise erupted, enough to shatter an ordinary person’s eardrums.
Layers of ice and dust churned violently like waves, completely lifting the frozen ground.
Yet, in this intense shaking, what shattered first was the one with a physical body.
“How is this possible?!”
Serpent Rock let out a cry of disbelief as countless sparks flew inside the cockpit, his voice seemingly electric.
Bang!
The rapidly spinning drill slowed down amidst the screeching noise, its motion forcibly stopped by the Armor phantom with sheer force in front of an astonished Serpent Rock, losing all its momentum.
Right.
Just like that.
As Ian had imagined.
The young man smiled slightly as he pulled back his arm, forcibly removing the drill from the Serpent Rock Armor, pulling out large bursts of sparks and streams of Origin, eliciting an incredulous wail from the Chieftain.
—Dismantling an Armor Suit with bare hands…
wasn’t that difficult after all.
With that thought, the true power of a Rock Cast Knight was deployed by Ian—the blue Aether Crystals provided an endless stream of Origin, allowing the phantom Armor to extend its arms, clench its fists, and continue to maul the Armor Suit before it.
In just a few seconds, what should have been a war machine that dominated the battlefield was effortlessly crushed, deformed, and wadded up into scrap metal by Ian, like crushing a soda can.
And then came the explosion.
Bang!
In the final moment, Serpent Rock managed to eject from the Armor despite severe injuries, but was sent flying far by Ian’s strength and the shockwave of the explosion, landing solidly on the ground, tumbling a row of trees, and finally disappearing into the ruins.
