556: Chapter 525 Two Months of Research Results (2/3) 556: Chapter 525 Two Months of Research Results (2/3) During these two months, a few interesting things happened.

On the Terra Continent, the localized wars that had been put on hold due to the Solitary Mountain Conference resumed their normal state.

The Central Empire and Fiery Flame Land accused each other of espionage and sabotage within their territories, and both sides expelled dozens of the other’s diplomats.

Envoys from Far Shore Island visited the City of Knowledge, but ultimately both parties parted on bad terms.

After a probing attack on the Gantreignum Republic ended in failure, the Azure Sky Royal Court went quiet for a while.

However, recent news from within the court revealed that this was a deliberate move by Old Khan to discipline his own forces—the defeated troops belonged to the direct line of his ambitious younger son, a young general eager to establish his military merits, unwilling to be controlled by the Khan and his elder brother.

The Gantreignum Republic also displayed its new armament to the other nations: the 6th Generation Full-Coverage Aerial Armor.

The armor troops, equipped with new flight modules and camouflaged by clouds, launched a supersonic aerial surprise attack that decimated an entire mobile fleet of the Azure Sky Royal Court.

Even though Old Khan had intended to eliminate these troops, the swift devastation caught everyone by surprise.

The leader of this aerial armor troop, the dwarven new-generation powerhouse Murgo Sturdyhammer, who inherited the name ‘Pillar of Heaven,’ demonstrated unimaginable strength.

He fought the infuriated younger son of the Khan, General Hill marcher, for seventeen hours in the Terra atmosphere, successfully covering his troops’ retreat without sustaining a single injury.

Beyond this, there weren’t any major headlines.

The central and western parts of the continent maintained an eerie silence, but everyone could sense the tense atmosphere.

However, for the residents of Imperial Capital, life went on as usual with singing and dancing; the small-scale power skirmishes and the prelude to war did not cause much panic amongst the ordinary people of the world.

As for Ian, he certainly didn’t worry much about the international situation—there wasn’t a full-scale war yet, right?

Shouldn’t the Prophet know this already?

Wait until there’s actually a full-scale war to worry.

Dedicated to his research, the young man spent these two months entirely immersed in the library and his alchemy laboratory.

The family involved in the car accident was now able to leave the hospital, thanks to Ian’s potions.

With sufficient nutritional supplements and Ian’s follow-up treatment, the injured father regrew his legs.

Naturally, the family was immensely grateful, but Ian didn’t care much; he simply reminded them to be more careful in the future.

He had done this only to collect data, and he wouldn’t offer free treatment next time.

That was the principle, but Ian still accepted the blessing flags made for him by the family…

Watching the family leave the laboratory, the young man didn’t know whether to sigh or smile.

And so time passed.

Outside of work, the young man would have a meal with Frost Butterfly and Hua’an, leaving Miss Hua’an to bring Frost Butterfly around to see and learn about the surroundings at other times.

During this period, Ian also succeeded in mastering the methods to concoct the ‘Half-Demon Potion of Rock Cast Knight’ and the ‘Half-Demon Potion of Fairy Bloodline.’

The prime material for Rock Cast Knight’s potion is the ‘Ensnaring Rock Hydra’s Transformative Tentacles.’

This magical beast material has strong vitality and precision control capabilities.

It represents the ‘Skill’ part of the Domain of Extremes, refining Ian’s control over different parts of his body.

Aside from allowing Ian to manipulate earth and stone like controlling tentacles, these transformative tentacles also gave him the ‘shapeshifting’ ability similar to muscle transformation, like his teacher Hiliard—an essential skill for Ian, who wanted to hide his identity and needed finer control.

The high vitality was less emphasized, as the Bloodline True Form naturally had superior qualities.

The prime material for the Fairy Bloodline’s potion, naturally, is the ‘Nerve Bundles of the Fallen Nightmare Sea Slug.’ This peculiar slug has a dark blue exterior with bright, azure-colored nerve bundles—a beautiful material.

It is fundamentally a Spirit Energy material that can fortify the nervous system.

Spirit Energy Users, especially, gain enhanced control sensitivity.

This rare material can also bolster the Third Energy Level Heart Light, making it a coveted, valuable breed in the many deciphered Labyrinths for cultivation.

The Fairy Bloodline in Ian’s blood already enhanced Spirit Energy capabilities, and he needed these ‘skills’ in that area.

Whether it was Rock Cast Knight or Fairy Bloodline, the focus was skill.

Ian estimated that after reaching dual Second Energy Level in the Domain of Extremes, his skill in processing various materials and his combat techniques would significantly increase.

Of course, working out the concoction process didn’t mean that Ian would immediately make and consume these potions.

He was in the Imperial Capital, and if he carelessly failed to conceal his newfound power after taking the potions, he would invite endless trouble—at the very least, he’d have to burn a cover identity.

Therefore, Ian planned to wait until October to accept an external exploration mission from the Platinum Iridium Workshop.

He would travel abroad and use that opportunity to consume the potions, adapting to the power to avoid exposure.

By then, the ingredients for the Magic Potion of the Rock Cast Knight would probably all be collected, and he could take care of everything all at once, saving any hassle.

Thinking this way, as it was already the afternoon, Ian, having completed the experiments related to his latest alchemical research on the ‘Efficacy Potion,’ prepared to clean all the equipment in the laboratory, then shut down the lab and go home to rest.

The Efficacy Potion was just a relatively simple new technology that Ian planned to use to deceive external funders.

In essence, it was still the Prophet coordinating with the Silver Chip to find an optimized method, which Ian then back-engineered to derive a theoretical formula and continuously tested with practical cases to prove its validity.

However, proving the research necessary for the Efficacy Potion was much more complex than mere reuse, and summarizing it into a formula was even more troublesome.

But during the process of back-engineering, Ian’s alchemy was advancing rapidly.

Especially since the enormous laboratory could meet all of Ian’s experimental conditions, and the funds from the Ellen Family and Platinum Iridium Workshop ensured he had no worries on that front.

In fact, he even had spare capacity to conduct the research he truly wished to undertake.

For instance, the deciphering of ‘Magic Potions.’

On Terra Continent, there are countless different variants of the Bloodline True Form inheritance; aside from the most orthodox method of using Demonic Beast Materials as raw materials to make Magic Potions for advancement, there are in fact many other methods.

Not to mention, the ‘Heritage Treasure’ from the Fiery Flame Land was likely substituting some kind of Essence Organ inheritance to provide the inheritor with a treasure that contains the power of the ‘Domain of Extremes.’

Just as Ian discovered through private research, the essence of Magic Potions is to adapt to the source structure of magical beasts and perform origin modifications on one’s own organs.

Over the years, surely other bright minds have pondered whether there is a method to transcend without using Magic Potions or hunting magical beasts, relying purely on artificial means to inscribe and pass down the source essence structures from generation to generation, right?

After all, as long as the source structure is intact, there’s no need to capture a new magical beast for imprinting every time, is there?

As long as there is a method precise enough to completely replicate every detail of the source structure found within a magical beast, Sublimators would not need to consume Magic Potions.

By fine-tuning their own essence, they could achieve self-ascension.

If such a Cultivation Method could succeed, it would be like the so-called ‘meditation/visualization method’—as long as a Sublimator has detailed enough information, they could visualize and inscribe within themselves the magical beast inscription structure they envision.

Then, without the need to hunt any magical beasts and only requiring sufficient essence, they could cultivate the lineage of the magical beast they envisioned.

It sounds indeed very simple.

But just as everyone knows the principle of the sun burning, humans still can’t create another sun (not a nuclear fusion power plant, but a star).

The resources/computation power and various detailed aspects are just too troublesome.

In the end, the inscriptions structure of magical beasts is their ‘Ascension Gene,’ their source of extraordinary power.

Determining which parts are genuinely functional and which support the operation of those structures, even supercomputers struggle to calculate clearly.

Moreover, these structures have an underlying microscopic architecture which is highly susceptible to interference from Soul Observation.

Solving this interference problem is a major challenge—similar to how quantum chips on Ian’s former Earth needed extremely low temperatures to operate.

In the Terra World, however, the interference with the source structure isn’t cold, but rather a method yet to be discovered.

Even ignoring this issue, for one person to merely ‘visualize’ all this on their own…

to truly assemble all those elements by hand.

If one has such ability, then what’s the point of transcending?

Isn’t that already superhuman?

This level of computing power and the precision required to manipulate on a mesoscopic level are almost akin to arranging and combining atoms to form material structures, comparable to the Fourth Energy Level.

Keep in mind the source structure is of a nanoscale or even a smaller scale.

If someone can indeed recreate it bit by bit within their body, recreating an organ the size of a human organ for ascension…

Then they are essentially a humanoid photolithography machine, and much more beyond that.
