Chapter 519 - 519 488 Another Fae 13

519: Chapter 488: Another Fae (1/3) 519: Chapter 488: Another Fae (1/3) “Cyberspace of Spirit Energy…

So this is the network left by the civilization of the former era…”

Ian indeed felt quite moved by Hua’an’s words.

The youth who had once entered the South Sea Great Labyrinth knew that in some sense, the ‘Labyrinth’ was an abnormal ecosystem created by the relics of the civilization of the former era.

If so, with a material Labyrinth in existence, then wasn’t it possible for there to be a Labyrinth at the network level of Spirit Energy?

The answer was, of course, yes.

Ian could even imagine such a scenario—after the destruction of human civilization, a network world capable of self-repair and autonomous mechanical maintenance still existed, hidden in every corner of the world.

It operated continuously, preserving those ancient codes and knowledge, waiting for the next civilization to emerge on this land that had once undergone destruction.

And those completely new civilizations, those new intelligent beings, would accidentally connect to this vastly extensive network…

and then become lost within it.

They would be bombarded by indescribable knowledge, by codes in languages they could not understand, washed over by ancient information that was incomprehensible yet held real significance, becoming both mad and bewildered, yet occasionally revealing a glimmer of wisdom.

Survivors regarded such a network as a world independent of the dusty world, a higher realm that was both more sublime and more insane.

And those mysterious intelligences residing in the higher world, those terrifying beings whose nature and characteristics were inscrutable, whose desires and origins were unknown, were like the various existences known as ‘deities’ or ‘evil gods.’

Of course, there were also those who were naturally adapted to this way of thinking, or one might say were very lucky, who obtained from this network the knowledge needed by their civilization or species—he was like one blessed by the gods, returning to his homeland with technology and thought beyond his era.

And then, he created a grand empire.

“Inega II…”

A name suddenly flashed through Ian’s mind, and he had an epiphany, “And the Silver Chip?”

If one were to consider along these lines, then it might be possible to understand how Inega II transcended the perspective of his era.

As a Spirit Energy User, Ian could not blindly deny that Inega II might have a passion as profound as his, or perhaps a talent just as great.

It was quite possible that Inega II also possessed a fortitude as resilient as the Domain of Extremes, capable of traversing the ‘Land of Instinct’ to reach the depths of the ocean abyss where the ‘Void Realm’ resided.

If it were said that Inega II, through a powerful Spirit Energy Awakening or an extremely fortunate adventure, came to the Void Realm and received ancient knowledge left by the civilization of the former era…

And even, within the Void Realm, found the ‘Silver Chip,’ a legacy…

then perhaps the reason why the knowledge and worldview of this Pioneer Emperor were so distinctive could be explained?

That was just speculation.

Ian couldn’t be sure about this because although the Silver Chip seemed intangible and insubstantial, it was actually physical—it was connected to Ian’s nerves, indeed capable of touching the soul, but the difficulty of preserving such an entity in the depths of the Void Realm and then having a Spirit Energy User retrieve it was simply too immense.

But it was very likely that Inega II obtained a lead to the Silver Chip from the Void Realm, and then acquired this mysterious and powerful treasure.

Now, Ian was just in the state of soul, but the Silver Chip seemed still to exist—temporarily unable to scan and utilize, but the youth felt that it was only because he had not yet reached that stage, so neither could the Silver Chip.

Apart from its existence, there were no special reactions.

Perhaps the time wasn’t right yet.

Or the right place had not been reached.

Once he reached the Third Energy Level, mastered both the body and the spirit, possessed a Heart Light Body, or like the Fae’s ‘Soul Materialization,’ the Silver Chip would likely also become usable in the Void Realm.

And then, perhaps that would be the time to truly explore the Void Realm.

“Speaking of which, this is the Fae’s meditation technique?”

Coming back to his senses, Ian could not help but remark, “Isn’t it just like going home for you guys?”

“You’re underestimating the difficulty!”

Hua’an also complained, “The fact that you could succeed is already much more impressive than I expected!

I originally thought about pulling you back and letting you slowly adapt with time, saying you might not even succeed before your next departure from the Imperial Capital!”

“Who knew you’d succeed on your first try!”

“Even Fae need to be adults and go through training to sneak into this soulful Fairy Homeland, and…

did you not feel that the entire process of sneaking in has already made your soul much more solid and strong?”

Ian was taken aback and then sensed it.

Indeed, he couldn’t deny it.

His soul and spirit, after going through this Fae meditation and arriving in the ‘Void Realm,’ had clearly become much more resilient compared to before.

Although upon returning, he would still need some time to adapt and maintain this solidified state of the soul resulting from the ‘deep sea pressure,’ the rate of this training was undoubtedly much faster than usual.

“The whole process is equivalent to life-and-death tempering; it would be strange not to become stronger.” Ian shook his head slightly.

He and Hua’an were walking in this illusory land of mist, “So what’s next?

Do we just continue walking here?”

“No, I’m going to take you to see a friend.

The one I mentioned to you before, another Fae who lives in the Imperial Capital!”

Although Hua’an tried to keep it as downplayed as possible, Ian still keenly sensed that her real purpose was to show off her ‘achievement,’ him, to her friend.

Oh well…

Let her be.

Fairy Miss had helped him out so much and even led him to the ‘Void Realm,’ uncovering a whole new world, so she could show off however she wanted.

Ian was never bothered by this.

With this mindset, the young man asked, “Then how do you find your friend here?”

Hua’an looked at Ian with some confusion.

She explained blankly, “She lives in the Imperial Capital, and we are currently right above the Imperial Capital in the ‘Void Realm,’ right?

Why don’t we just go to where Mo Feng’s residence is reflected in the ‘Void Realm’?”

“Ah?”

At that moment, Ian finally realized, looking down and surveying the surrounding land.

He noticed that he was actually at the peak of a mountain.

This mountain, resembling both a tree and a creature, was formed from a mix of huge wooden roots interwoven with a great deal of metal and earth—it looked just like the ‘Imperial Capital’ that Ian had seen not long ago with Foresight View!

—The Imperial Capital’s presence had a reflected feedback in the ‘Void Realm’?!

“As long as there is a soul, there is a reflection in the ‘Void Realm.’ The Imperial Capital is so big, there are definitely souls there.”

Hua’an continued forward cheerfully—Ian couldn’t tell whether a sphere moved forwards by rolling or sliding, but since he himself was now a sphere, he couldn’t be bothered to think too much about it.

That was close enough, so he caught up with her.

As Hua’an said, finding someone in the ‘Void Realm’ was incredibly fast, especially a Fae.

Soon, they found one…

A pale purple sphere surrounded by a circle of books.

The Fae named Mo Feng, represented in the ‘Void Realm’ by the conceptual play of light and shadow, was also quite a poetic scene.

—In a courtyard on an afternoon, a book perhaps left by its owner beside a swing, when a breeze carrying the warmth of the sun entered the courtyard, stirring the swing, also causing the book’s pages to gently turn, dispersing the fragrance of ink…

within that breeze, nurturing a spirit born amidst the harmonious and warm light scent.

And the first sight of the world for Them was that book whirling in the wind.

Their name was Mo Feng.
