Chapter 329 - 329 306 Spark Furnace Core 23

329: Chapter 306: Spark Furnace Core (2/3) 329: Chapter 306: Spark Furnace Core (2/3) To be honest, Ian wasn’t thinking about the Crystal Dragon’s breath at first; instead, he wondered, “What treasure has it swallowed, and is it about to spit it out now?”

In a sense, this guess wasn’t wrong.

Because the Crystal Dragon was presenting the Furnace Core in its body to Ian.

Now the boy knew why the other party had started to transfer authority after swallowing him…

because indeed, this was something that could only be seen inside the dragon’s mouth.

A vortex of light mounted on a strange throat bone.

This peculiar throat bone—if it could be assumed to be a throat bone—extended from the Crystal Dragon’s spinal structure, and it had what looked like artificial ports on it, similar to the “data ports” behind the necks of Ian and all Terra People, but larger and with more functions, likely accommodating various large plugins.

And at the center of this Signal Bone, there was a peculiar vortex of light within Moren Steel.

Moren Steel is a type of Spirit Energy metal that is neither purely material nor the kind of actual Spirit Energy entity like the Fae, it is, in a way, closer to Elemental Crystals, or the condensation of pure ‘Vitality’.

Alloys made from it can absorb metal, bricks, stones, and gravel from the surrounding strata and material zones, performing automatic repair work on the areas in need of mending.

Creations made of Moren Steel won’t cause rejection reactions and can be used as materials for various artificial organs and prosthetics.

However, it’s too expensive; using it as a raw material is luxurious and not appropriate, as there are many other alloys that are cheaper and better suited for the task.

But now, Ian was looking at a piece completely made of Moren Steel…

a USB flash drive?

Or a portable storage tool.

And within this tool, a dazzling vortex of Origin Quality was shining brightly.

In Ian’s eyes, during the day of Foresight View, spectacular streams of gold and silver vibrated the immensely complex Inscription Structure, forming numerous wing-fluttering birds.

The myriad birds rotated and circled, creating an extraordinarily complicated vortex, magnificent and splendid.

The powerful and magnificent Essence, flowing continuously from this vortex—though not in large quantities, was unceasing…

If the Aether Crystal Dragon wasn’t close to death, the Essence emanating from it would be dozens of times more than what Ian had seen!

“Spark…

Aether Furnace…

intermingled gold and silver…”

Ian muttered to himself, realizing what he was looking at.

[Spark Furnace Core (Incomplete)]

[Fourth Level·Incomplete·Authority·Inedible]

[An energy Furnace Core created by the Redwood Laboratory, imitating the Spark Engine in the ‘Obera Flame Ship.’ Due to a lack of sufficient Essence Manipulation technology, the quality of all Spark Furnace Cores fall short, and perfect Aether Bubbles cannot be produced.]

[Yet, even with imperfections, it doesn’t mean it can’t be used.

A flawed Aether Furnace is still an Aether Furnace.

Although it needs a continuous input of refined Origin Quality as a maintenance resource, the Spark Furnace Core can still output a large amount of energy primarily based on Natural Spirit Energy, with an exchange ratio of about 1 to 8, nearly something out of nothing—a super energy source.]

[Most creatures of Terra, without special modifications, cannot withstand the Spark.]

[…]

“The Spark Furnace Core…

is it non-physical, made of flowing Inscriptions?”

Ian whispered, “Indeed, the Redwood Base, although not specifically responsible for energy design, still created some Spark Furnace Cores for biological use due to various powerful artificial creatures…”

“But even so, there is not a hundred percent completion rate—even the Crystal Dragon cannot withstand the power of the Spark Furnace Core.

Only now, a millennium later, has there emerged such a Transcendent Species as the Aether Crystal Dragon.”

Redwood Laboratory back then, or the pre-Era Terra Civilization, must have hoped that creatures like ‘Crystal Dragons,’ this series of artificially created ecological beings, could become the core of the living spheres for future extraterrestrial immigrants.

Thus, they specifically designed Sparks as an energy source for them.

No, not just for Crystal Dragons…

Frost-Seduction Moths must also have similar payload ports in their bodies.

The two Fourth Level Behemoths probably fought each other for the Spark Furnace Core, leading to their mutual demise in the Ruins of Ice Abyss.

And judging by the final outcome, the Crystal Dragon side had the upper hand—they kept the legacy of the Spark Furnace Core alive, though most weren’t adapted to it.

Yet in this generation, there emerged a transcendent species such as the Aether Crystal Dragon.

A true Labyrinth Master.

“…You’re giving this thing to me, so that I could never talk about it to anyone else.”

Ian looked deeply at the upper jaw of the Crystal Dragon; he could guess what the dragon was feeling right now—clearly, the other party had thought all this through beforehand.

Whether it’s Master Gossay, Yisen Gard, or later the White Mist Bishop, none of them could possibly know about the ‘Spark’…

perhaps the nun from the Spiritual Tool Church might have an inkling, but definitely very limited, at most knowing the Spark as some sort of highly efficient True Ether Furnace.

As for things like Ecological Kindling Ships, extraterrestrial ecosystems, Superluminal engines, and warp travel, they surely had no idea.

If they had known, the Spiritual Tool Church would certainly not have sent just this few people.

After all, even Ian could only know all this because he had a silver chip; it was almost impossible for others to obtain such information.

But the Aether Crystal Dragon knew—its bloodline contained data about the Spark.

The entity was originally a ‘biological ecology core’ created by the pre-era Terra civilization to manufacture cosmic super lifeforms similar to the Ether Titan Dragon… such an existence was definitely capable of carrying an Aether Furnace.

Rather, if it didn’t have an Aether Furnace, the Crystal Dragon wouldn’t be complete at all.

Just as the pre-era civilization hadn’t fully understood how to create an Aether Furnace, the Crystal Dragon hadn’t either—most of these artificial life forms only reached the Fourth Power Level, which proved that if they were as perfect as the designs suggested, they would have already become a new form of life at the Fifth Power Level!

“Wait a minute,”

At this thought, Ian felt he had overlooked something, but soon, he realized and his eyes widened: “True Dragons!”

“Those Fifth Power Level True Dragons!”

“If those naturally occurring Fifth Power Level beings…

have a ‘Magic Power Furnace Core,’ an ‘Aether Furnace Core’ inside of them, and are perfectly adapted to them… no wonder they are so powerful!”

And there was more.

“Ancient Dragons!”

Bowing his head, Ian stared at his own chest.

Teacher Hiliad’s heart core was pulsating violently… it was craving the power of the Spark Furnace Core, longing for its Origin Structure.

—That was what truly completed its existence!

Yes, Ancient Dragons!

Ancient Dragons, beings without any evolutionary chain or origin from magical beasts… weren’t they just powerful, artificially created super lifeforms?

Just like the Crystal Dragon, if an Aether Crystal Dragon suddenly appeared on the Terra Continent, wouldn’t it be considered an Ancient Dragon?

A powerful being capable of controlling pure Source Quality Energy, growing to the limit, and threatening a nation or even many nations!

A bio-weapon from the Star Era… would indeed be enough to cause a calamity on present-day Terra.

And now.

The Aether Crystal Dragon, which qualified as an Ancient Dragon, was about to entrust the Spark Furnace Core to him.

As compensation for ‘sealing its lips.’

Ian couldn’t possibly discuss the Spark Furnace Core with anyone; its significance was too great, too precious, and no one knew it existed.

The Aether Crystal Dragon entrusting the Spark Furnace Core to Ian, aside from knowing that it couldn’t leave this treasure behind, the behemoth was also very aware that if others learned that its offspring might possess the power to adapt to the Spark, they would undoubtedly treat them as tools of war.

Or even worse, turned into magic potions… or before they even had a chance to grow and reproduce, transformed into materials that could enhance adaptability to the Spark Furnace Core.

Compared to this possibility, it was better to give it to someone else—at least to Ian, who seemed unlikely to reveal that he possessed the Spark Furnace Core.

They were both accomplices who held the ‘Spark.’

In this way, at the very least, there was some possibility for its offspring to grow up.

Naturally, the Aether Crystal Dragon didn’t know this; in truth, it just had no other choice.

At least the ‘human-shaped Ancient Dragon’ in front of it gave a feeling of kinship and didn’t refuse the offer to foster its offspring.

“Alright, I agree,”

Knowing that the Aether Crystal Dragon was waiting for his answer, Ian sighed, and replied earnestly, “I will take care of your offspring and ensure at least you won’t be without descendants.”

He couldn’t reject the Spark.

Whether it was the Ancient Dragon Core or as a creation from the pre-era civilization—with the complete design of the Spark in his possession, all he needed was one real Spark to have the possibility of optimizing it further.

In Ian’s hands, the power of the Spark could be far greater than that of any other person on the Terra Continent.

Seeing Ian making up his mind, the Ether Dragon emitted a low hum, one that was either a sigh of relief or a release from burden.

The Signal Bone reached out, and Ian too silently raised his left hand.

In the youth’s eyes, the gold and silver light surged, with a wisp of blood-colored mist.

He touched the swirl of light before him.
