Chapter 1200: Chapter 181: The Glowing Bird Battles the Useless Dog (5400)_3

This is their belief, their dreams and will. Though not perfect, they have taken shape and are even capable of manipulating Spirit Energy and Origin Quality, achieving preliminary Primal Aether, creating ‘Mystical Phenomena’ in the real world!

“The trip was definitely worth it.”

Ian stared for a while and then laughed, “The Third Energy Level doesn’t lie to oneself, nor is it easy to deceive others… Who would have thought that our Crown Prince Carlos would have such a straightforward, even overly righteous son that borders on being demon-possessed—the Imperial Grandson Aina is actually a good man who doesn’t speak in riddles!”

“As for Prince Gaer… Haha, he looks like a barbarian, but in reality, he has a strong reform spirit. He might be highly cultured, only portraying himself this way to maintain an image in front of the public, who knows?”

At this point, Ian even shook his head with a smile, “What’s the matter, is the decay within the Azure Sky Royal Court so intolerable that even the Khan’s lineage can’t stand it anymore? This heartfelt intent to kill and desire to change everything must have seen much ugliness to forge such belief; a determination only possible by refusing to partake in corruption!”

Ian sharply critiqued the two combatants, while Anfa and Yisen Gard could only listen in silence—they could only witness the aftermath of the battle between the two, but could not perceive as clearly as Ian the core beliefs contained within the Heart Light Body… In fact, ordinary Sublimators couldn’t see through it; only someone like Ian, with irrational Spirit Energy, could sense a bit.

Further, Ian thought of the Spirit Disaster Path, where the ‘War God’ from the Azure Sky Royal Court once emerged… Thinking back now, might that War God have been Gaer? And his desire for combat, could it be rooted in the thoughts within his Heart Light Body now?

If it truly is, then Ian might have misunderstood him.

As for Sio: “I actually noticed early on they weren’t as cunning as they seem, probably just happened to fight a bit, got carried away, and now both sides are regretting it, definitely looking for a way to back down.”

If it were before, everyone would definitely think Sio was speaking off the cuff… But now, it seems the truth might be just that. Aina and Gaer might not be traditional good people, but their cunning and schemes certainly can’t surpass Anfa, at most just over Yisen Gard.

No. If it’s the now-evolved Yisen Gard… they might not even compare!

Sio truly possesses great wisdom masked by simplicity!

Even though both parties summoned the semi-adult Heart Light Body in a confrontation, as Sio predicted, the two ended the battle swiftly. Under the illumination of the Heart Light Body, they started verbally sparring, each fiercely seeking a way out, and Ian did not have the ability to determine what exactly they were saying.

“Never mind them, the fun is over.”

Shaking his head, Ian signaled the others to follow him, “Let those grand factions fight; we’ll go treasure hunting first.”

“Treasure hunting?”

Yisen showed interest, “What, Ian, you found a worthy treasure on this second level that’s been explored for ages?”

“Certainly.”

Ian nodded without hesitation and said, “It’s not far, I’ve already seen it.”

If it weren’t for the sudden outbreak of conflict between The Empire and the Royal Court’s exploration teams, Ian was about to end his contemplation, to tell everyone he’d just noticed a faint silver radiance flickering within the nearby ruins, likely an important piece of equipment from ancient civilization… But compared to a treasure that won’t run away, the fun was far more interesting.

The Twilight Sanctuary is named as such because the lighting equipment here has malfunctioned, shrouding the entire sanctuary in a twilight hue, yet its roads are clearly delineated and grid-like, perhaps easy to get lost in, but for Sublimators with better memory and sense of direction, it’s easy to head in the right direction.

The treasure Ian saw was thirty street blocks away, already near the inner layer of Twilight Sanctuary, where there were many more and stronger monsters, damage was quite severe, so it’s no surprise the advance team missed it.

As the group walked through the streets, they vaguely noticed that the closer to the inner layer, some structures ceased to be buildings and became enormous metal pillars, densely packed with crystal grids, flashing intermittently, clearly transmitting energy. These metal pillars were sturdier than buildings, the passage of centuries leaving only a layer of dust without stopping their function.

“It’s right there.”

After passing twenty-six street blocks, Ian halted, raising his head, everyone’s gaze followed his forward to the ruins, toward a semi-collapsed structure: “Our target is within… huh?”

Just as Ian intended to move toward the ruins to retrieve and analyze the small treasure, barely the size of a human fist yet emitting silver radiance, he abruptly paused mid-step, his expression slightly puzzled, wondering in his heart: “Wait, what is that?”

Buzz… Buzz—

At that moment, Anfa’s expression changed, she immediately pulled out a Wonder Box she carried—a fragment sealed with Silent Silver Alloy.

A fragment of the Origin Core Chip!

——The Origin Core Chip is vibrating!

“I’ll explore this direction; everyone split up.”

Anfa exchanged a glance with Ian, who instantly understood, thus without hesitating, he flew forward alone, venturing into the semi-collapsed building.

Yisen Gard stayed put, while Sio instinctively wanted to follow, but Anfa held out a hand to stop her: “Ian went to explore over there, let’s search elsewhere.”

“Huh? Oh…” Initially a bit puzzled, Sio quickly realized, not foolish but actually quite smart, just usually too lazy to think, the Dragon Maiden understood.

She took a deep look at the Skywind Stone Brooch on Anfa’s chest, then muttered in her heart how annoying surveillance cameras were before, along with Anfa and Yisen Gard, headed in different directions like a normal split exploration.

Meanwhile.

Using Sublimator strength, Ian smashed through the door walls, entering the building’s interior, and witnessed an illuminating scene.

A sand timer placed centrally in a spacious hall was still operating… The yellow glowing sand within the timer no longer fell, with the adjacent display frozen at ’18:23′, yet the red gemstone on its base emitted spider-web-like red light patterns across the hall, pulsing as if breathing, with an anxiety-inducing glow.

The hall shrouded in red light, the stalled sand timer and twilight flow, instantaneously reminded Ian why the Twilight Sanctuary persisted in dusk… Seems the timekeeping devices across the sanctuary have stopped functioning, or jammed!

And the gem on the base… it is undoubtedly one of Ian’s key exploration targets this time.

Another Origin Core Chip!
