Chapter 1133: Chapter 162: The Pioneer of Terra People, Tombs and Echoes (7200, Major Chapter)_3

But since the person speaking is a Prophet, and the questions Ian could answer are things that cannot be obtained through ordinary channels, Anfa was not only not angry but instead laughed happily, saying, “I knew you could definitely see something—let me think…”

The green-haired, gold-eyed girl squinted her eyes. She pondered for a moment and then said, “We want to know the importance of this artifact in the Exotic Species Research Institute. If possible, we also want to know its specific functions and the reasons for its damage.”

Essence. Origin. And the reasons for change. This is the core of Anfa’s question. She wants to know how precious this artifact is, why it is precious, and what happened at the Exotic Species Research Institute that caused such a precious thing to be damaged to its current state.

“Highest Level. It is an extremely powerful computational core, a kind of calculating chip, the most important computational tool of the previous era’s civilization. An elf with a crystal terminal should easily understand its concept. I believe there is basically nothing in the current Terra civilization that can surpass it, of course, in its complete form. As for why…”

Ian squinted his eyes. He actually didn’t know why the Source Quality Calculating Chip was damaged, so after pondering for a moment, he directly said, “I need to touch it with my own hands to see.”

When Ian said this, it was not to freeload the structure of the Source Quality Calculating Chip using the Silver Chip—well, maybe that’s part of the reason—but essentially, Ian planned to use his ‘Retrospection Vision’ ability to see the deepest emotional source contained in the calculating chip, and to see the memories residing within it.

As a fragment of a Fifth Energy Level creation, there are bound to be numerous people’s expectations and emotional attachments on the Calculating Chip. Even if he cannot see the scene of its destruction, Ian can at least obtain more information about the Exotic Species Research Institute and even the ‘Pioneer’ and ‘Star God.’

“Touch with your own hands…”

Anfa hesitated for a moment. As the princess of the Ashlight Family, now the only child of the head of the family, a Dragon Blood Elf, she certainly has the authority to let Ian touch the Calculating Chip.

But to risk letting an outsider make contact…

—No.

—Ian is not considered an outsider.

Thinking of this, Anfa had a sudden epiphany—Ian is a member of the Dragon Worship Cult, the Lord she invested in, able to flee the Sacrificial Rite but not the Temple, so even if Ian really ruined the Calculating Chip, so what? Wouldn’t that be even better?

To exchange an obviously damaged, largely revealed ancient artifact for the guilt and favor of a future Fourth Energy Level powerhouse… Oh, and now add in a Prophet—doesn’t that earn her a profit? It’s perfectly aligned with Anfa’s investment vision.

Thinking this way, Anfa was even somewhat looking forward to Ian ruining the Calculating Chip. With this thought in mind, she generously reached out and touched Ian’s palm.

Then, a point of purple-golden light flickered.

Under the control of a Sublimator over the body, a drop of Anfa’s fresh blood fell into Ian’s palm, the purple-golden blood bead shining splendidly like a precious gem. The elf girl signaled for Ian to smear that drop of blood onto his palm: “This way, your hand will be considered part of my body, allowing you to temporarily bypass the Spirit Energy Barrier and touch the artifact.”

“Alright.”

If it were Ian on a regular day, he would have surely realized Anfa’s fleeting thoughts between hesitation and later nonchalance instantly, teasing Anfa with a ‘Are you hoping I damage this artifact?’—but because of his overwhelming curiosity about the Calculating Chip, he had no hesitation at all and directly manipulated the Origin Quality to evaporate Anfa’s blood, covering the surface of his right hand.

He reached out his hand, without any hesitation, bypassed the Spirit Energy Barrier, and touched the Crimson Galaxy held in Anfa’s other palm.

And at the moment Ian touched the Calculating Chip.

An endless stream of light and shadow engulfed the boy’s vision.

This was a laboratory filled with brilliant colors, vast and expansive, filled with various advanced instruments. A True Dragon’s skeletal structure and functional diagram were suspended at the center of the lab, beside numerous strong and peculiar super beings’ anatomical diagrams. If people of later generations saw it, they would surely recognize that these creatures are what the Tara Confederation now calls ‘Ancient Dragons,’ powerful magical beasts rivaling True Dragons.

The lab was filled with powerful Spirit Energy Fields, with glittering inscriptions creating the purest and most flawless space—the kind of environment any researcher would dream of. In the center of the lab sat an old man with white hair, so old he was almost losing his human shape. He silently stared at the crystal plate before him, the waterfall of rapidly flowing data reflected in his eyes, yet unable to stir any expression on his face.

“It’s no use.”

After a long time, the old man, with wrinkles piled up to the point were his features were indistinct, yet his eyes remained bright, whispered to himself: “I will die. No matter what, I will die. Without a complete life-sustaining project and the most professional physician’s assistance to extend life through surgery, the Sublimation Path will inevitably burn life, transforming us from long-living mortals into powerful but ultimately mortal superhumans.”

“Haha, how ironic, the path I developed for the sublimation of Humans has ultimately become a death sentence… but we have no choice but to drink this poison, for the defeat of the Star God, numerous Sparks went out of control, and we need this power to confront the calamity of the arrival of a Thousand Stars.”
