Chapter 1122: Chapter 159: As long as it doesn’t kill, go all out (6000)_2

Leading the group, Jegarna, although surrounded by a bright water-blue Origin Quality that transformed into a vortex to protect his body, still couldn’t understand what had happened.

The second son of the Manzhi Family was full of confusion. He had thought Ian might make a direct move, but he never expected Ian, a Water Fairy known for intelligence, to use such adept wind techniques.

In truth, it only showed his lack of proficiency. The triple state transition of water can cause severe temperature changes, and sudden temperature shifts naturally generate gales. Ian’s main attack was a high-temperature vapor beam, and the hurricane was just an added special effect… It was just that other soldiers couldn’t even withstand the environmental effects alone.

——What is happening, how is he so strong?

As soon as the thought occurred, Jegarna saw Ian clench his fist. In that instant, a furiously powerful high-pressure vapor beam transformed into a cannonball, blasting towards him.

When this vapor cannonball was first launched, it was like a droplet, compressed extremely small. But as it flew, it continuously decompressed and expanded, and by the time it reached Jegarna, it had transformed into a storm beam filling his vision, rotating and roaring, tearing the air into a vacuum.

Boom!

A force as solid as a mountain and as unstoppable as a rushing river struck Jegarna. Whether it was the spinning vortex shield on his surface or the glory of the various Spirit Energy Jewelry exploding from his body, all were blown away, and he was flung backward like a leaf in the wind.

——I was… instantly killed?!

Only now, with his eyes wide open, Jegarna understood this fact, feeling it unacceptable— Ian’s attack hadn’t broken through the active Spirit Energy Jewelry on his body, but the fact that these accessories didn’t anchor him in place, instead being swept away by the storm, proved that the programs set within them predicted that if he continued to endure Ian’s attack instead of fleeing, there would only be one possible outcome.

Which was death.

In other words, if not for the money, Jegarna would have been dead just now. At the very least, he would have suffered severe injuries.

However, as he and another Second Energy Level member of his group were being blown away, Jegarna noticed that there was still one Elf in his team holding his ground—an unfamiliar Elf sent by his uncle, whom he had never paid much attention to.

But now, it seemed, his abilities were formidable, having reached the Second Level High Order, able to withstand Ian’s attack with a stoic demeanor.

And… he was launching a counterattack!

“Triple state transition, property change… You’ve already mastered high-tier Origin Quality utilization.”

The remaining Elf was of average appearance, with deep blue long hair no different from other Elves of Canaan Moore loitering around, and even had weary dark circles, just like a passerby corporate drone.

Yet this corporate drone-like Elf calmly raised two fingers and deftly made a slicing motion against the hurricane beam Ian sent his way.

Boom! With a thunderous noise, the passage was filled with echoing detonations from the massive impact, and the propelling shockwave created visible ripples in the air, capable even of flipping a fully loaded truck parked here.

But the corporate drone Elf stood firmly where he was. The slicing motion made with his fingers in front of him formed a sharp wind beam, slicing through Ian’s attack like a sword, leaving him unscathed.

Experts. Experts on both sides. Jegarna only now got up from the ground, this thought flashing through his mind.

For the powerful Sublimators, the Second Energy Level is a foundational stage. Once they complete the soul’s cohesion and structure improvement, possessing dreams and strong resolve, they are ready to directly enter the Third Energy Level. As for combat techniques and Origin Quality manipulation methods, those can wait until reaching the Third Energy Level with a Conscious Lightbody, using its immense computational power and wisdom to make up for them.

Actually, those combat techniques and Origin Quality manipulation techniques cannot be easily learned by an ordinary Second Energy Level; they demand such computational power that even in pre-era civilizations it wasn’t something an individual soul could handle. It requires extra auxiliary computing organs, an electronic brain or a biologic brain attach for assistance.

But there will always be some geniuses, or some who can’t advance further to become Conscious Light Sublimators who can grasp some advanced Origin Quality techniques before reaching the Third Energy Level.

And their combat power compared to other Second Energy Levels is like a trained Fighter against a common person with a belly.

Ian is such an individual, and so is the so-called Simoke, the corporate Elf that his uncle planted within his team. Either of them, with a simple move, could pose a lethal threat to someone like him, a competent Second Energy Level individual, simply because they lack a Conscious Lightbody.

Still, it’s understandable Ian has this potential, but how is Simoke so strong? The fact that he’s lingering in my team must have some ulterior motive, his target…

——Is it Anfa?

Sure enough, after slicing through Ian’s attack, Simoke reached into his chest pocket. At that moment, whether it was Ian, Yisen Gard, Anfa, or even Master Gravie, including Jegarna, they all sensed a sharp pain from the soul, as if some extremely sharp edge was about to emerge.
