Chapter 1095: Chapter 150 Retreat! Retreat! Retreat! (4600)

“It really works!”

Inside the bridge, the first officer stared at the distant, chaotic swarm of magical beasts in astonishment, and let out a long sigh of relief.

Although he believed Ian’s method would be effective, he hadn’t expected the results to be so obvious.

In just five minutes, the sea beast offensive that had been pressing towards the Siren had been largely alleviated.

Though only the non-magical beasts and the First Energy Level sea beasts fell prey to the pheromone projectiles, several Second Energy Level sea beasts acting as commanders were not affected and continued to whip and urge the other sea beasts to attack the Siren, but their numbers were too few to regroup quickly.

Especially the Second Energy Level commanding beast of the Ironscale Sea Snake, which, despite its efforts to screech for calm, found itself awkwardly entangled by a horde of its feverishly affectionate kin, unable to fight or fend them off.

The dramatic change among the sea beasts stunned everyone on the Siren.

Previously, due to the attack of three Beast Kings, the passengers had entered a state of resignation, writing farewell letters or enjoying what might be their last meal. But the internal strife among the three Magical Beast tribes and the indescribable scenes indeed broadened their horizons.

“What, what’s happening?” an affluent merchant of the Empire exclaimed: “Is this Canaan Moore’s new biological weapon?”

“Not at all. I’ve never heard of the Siren being equipped with such an outlandish new weapon…” An official from Canaan Moore incredulously shook his head: “Terrifying indeed! With such power, what magical beast could withstand it?”

“Really, all the magical beasts have retreated!”

“We’re safe now!”

In that moment, almost all the bolder passengers came to the deck or portholes, using various means to observe the magical beast swarm in the distance. Upon confirming that the offensive surrounding the Siren had indeed eased and even disbanded, they exchanged shocked glances, unsure of what to say.

Embrace Light, this was an attack by three full Great Magical Beast swarms! Even a full fleet of the Yongji Ocean would need to retreat in the face of such opponents unless a Fourth Energy Level expert was present to command, otherwise anyone directing would have to pay a grievous price!

But look at the outcome—a storming beast horde scattered by a few seemingly innocuous cannonballs? Even the venom of the Nine Dragons Serpent Dragon couldn’t have such an effect!

——What happened?

This was the question lurking in the hearts of most passengers, and soon, a few well-informed individuals gleaned some intelligence from the crew.

“I heard Master Gravie intervened and crafted a batch of new potions that disrupted the magical beasts’ senses!” a merchant said mysteriously, having just heard the tidbit from a crew member.

But those with other information channels refuted: “No, that’s incorrect; while Master Gravie was indeed present, the real intervention came from a young White Folk Alchemist!”

“Wait, the White Folk Alchemist aboard our ship… isn’t that the young master of the Silver Peak Family?” An Empire passenger’s mind quickly conjured up a familiar image.

“I heard he’s accomplished in pharmacology and armor suit engineering, who would’ve thought he’d also be so proficient in biology?”

“Perhaps it’s indeed the result of Master Gravie’s guidance, with the elder needing a young assistant’s support due to his waning vigor…”

“Still impressive then!”

The hall buzzed with curiosity, all eagerly wondering how Ian and Master Gravie managed to resolve the magical beast swarm, while those more proactive were already searching for Ian’s whereabouts.

——Master Gravie’s fame is simply too immense; trying to appeal to or invest in him is evidently difficult, so they decided to turn to the next best option, irrespective of the outcome of the magical beast assault, and forge a good relationship with this rising star for the future!

“Very good. This is indeed the result I aimed for.”

Passing through the hall, Ian heard the distant marvels and nodded slightly, his smile revealing: “In this way, all the passengers aboard the Siren will remember my name.”

“And when the Siren docks, my notoriety will further spread; it will be favorable publicity.”

Fame, reputation; both are difficult to quantify with numbers, and their specific effects are elusive, yet they are indispensable.

In the past, Ian had to remain as low-key as possible; even if he’d accomplished something, he had to divert it onto others, fearing attention… for behind him lay too many secrets, if revealed, it would lead to death.

Yet now, with time’s passage and territorial development, many of Ian’s secrets have been camouflaged beneath numerous facades.

Take for instance the Bloodline True Form inheritance… Now, Ian could confidently allow Michael and other royal members to examine his body’s condition, claiming that he is merely experimenting with a fusion version of the ‘Silver Fairy’ and ‘Silver Peak Emissary’ on his own body.

——You mean The Unyielding Fortress?

——Are you joking, The Unyielding Fortress couldn’t possibly fly!

Naturally, this is merely hyperbolic, yet Ian is confident once he integrates the Fairy Bloodline’s power into the ‘Iron Pioneer’, it will undoubtedly reach a stage where even Teacher Hiliard cannot discern it from The Unyielding Fortress.

With the identity of Prophet, as Ian’s strength advances, the need for concealment gradually diminishes… When Ian visibly advances to the Third Energy Level, it is when he can openly display his Prophet’s power, propagating the faith among the order.
