Bai Ruozhu chuckled on the side. Let the old woman wear what she wants, she thought. She looked forward to seeing how the village people would laugh at her dressed like a newlywed in her twenties when the old man was not home.

The family left the old mansion. As they exited the yard, Bai Ruozhu glanced back at Sanlang’s tightly closed window. She wondered what kind of desolate state Sanlang was in. Unfortunately, Sanlang would never appear to give her the chance to make fun of him.
