"How did you persuade Chen Daoru?" Zhou Shu asked curiously.

"Nothing much, just performed a sword dance for his enjoyment," Jiang Yichun answered indifferently. Zhou Shu paused, then understanding dawned on him, and he couldn’t help but be astounded. Only someone like Jiang had such courage and boldness; he, for one, was afraid of being sentenced.

Jiang Yichun seemed to read his thoughts and glanced at him, saying, "When so many lives are waiting for these medicinal materials, who has time for nitpicking? The current Emperor loves his subjects like his children and certainly would not allow Chen Daoru to disregard the lives of the people."
