Chapter 300: The Day The Ban Is Lifted
Darcero Kingdom is considered the most neutral and peaceful kingdom ever to exist and despite the sound of it being a bit exaggerated, those are the truths. Considering some kingdoms actively choose to go to war rather than develop their cities, it is a bit rare to see a kingdom that never actively goes to war.
Not only does it keep a peaceful atmosphere at all times but it is also the most neutral kingdom that doesn’t choose a side. Whether they are humans, demihumans or they are beastmen, none of that matters as long as you are not there to cause trouble and break the lasting peace.
Of course, there are some troubles here and there like disagreements and minor conflicts from other kingdoms which thankfully have not escalated to big wars. Still, they can still be considered as a disturbance from the previously peaceful Darcero Kingdom.
Last year, a kingdom was banned from entering the borders entirely due to one incident and as a result, even those who were not involved in the problem were also included in the affected people. Although their entry did not impact the Darcero Kingdom, their kingdom was affected a lot and their economy went down quite a lot during that time. Due to the controversy, other kingdoms also decided to either limit or outright refuse the kingdom’s products.
However, their suffering is not forever. Although they received a ban, they were only banned for a year. And that year has finally passed. That’s right, the kingdom that has finally regained its entry pass is none other than the Luminiera Kingdom.
And as expected, with the ban finally lifted, people who were stuck in the Luminiera Kingdom are now finally good to enter the kingdom once again. Many of those families who have one of their loved ones have a tearful reunion.
Most of these people immediately forget the perpetrator who caused the ban to be implemented after they managed to return to the kingdom and reunite with their loved ones. However, not all have forgotten. And these people are a group of merchants that have a big influence in the Luminiera Kingdom. They were considered bigshots before, but after the incident and the ban, their business slowed down and it doesn’t help when even their line of products has been reduced due to the people of other kingdoms refusing to conduct any business with them.
They suffered for a whole year with low income and their sales tanked to the point that they had to sell for cheap just so they could sell their products even if they were going to be on the bad side of the price war. With how the business rolls, they have to do it to ensure they will not run out of capital for their business.
Many of their comrades have given up and their businesses have bankrupted as a result. That is how big the problem has gotten.
Their carts carrying their goods have finally entered the Darcero Kingdom’s Harbor and are now approved for entry to the kingdom. They didn’t forget the one who caused this tragedy for them. With how the leader of the business union always reminded them who to blame, and even with a whole year passing by, they didn’t forget who they needed to blame.
Yes. It was none other than Elaina Zangrander herself.
These merchants have heard about the entry of the leaders of the union to cause chaos and pin the blame on their daughter to let the populace know that the ones they accepted as citizens are nothing but vile people.
However, it has been a few weeks since then but they are not hearing any news related to them. And one of their reasons for returning their business to this accursed kingdom is to also learn what happened to them.
Of course, it is only a matter of time before they know the unfortunate circumstances those two are currently in and how f*cked up they are.

"So today is the day of the ban being lifted? Guess those people who were in support of my parents are now surging the port of Darcero Kingdom and are now trying their best to enter the kingdom," Elaina sighed as she sipped on her coffee.
"That must mean they might orchestrate some attacks?" Julia asked as she took a bite of her sandwich.
"Perhaps. Sending assassins, or making our business suck, plenty of possible things happening, I must say," Elaina nodded.
"Assassins huh? Is that why you started planting those sentient plants?" Julia glanced over at the pots that had some plants growing in them.
"Ah, you mean these Garden Guardians? These little guys are just some of our first layers of defense. We can’t keep on relying on the Shadow Ops silently protecting the perimeter of the farm from any intruders. Considering that they also needed to rest and do some personal stuff, there is no way they have the time to keep on working. And what about those who get to pass their surveillance? These guys will help."
"Well, I don’t deny their capabilities. In fact, I should praise them considering the events during Princess Margaux’s stalker incident. If not for these Garden Guardians, those guys would have done some troublesome things that we would not be able to stop. Those guys singlehandedly stopped them from doing that," Julia approached Elaina and together, they looked at the slowly blooming plants one by one.
"So, have you finished the final groceries?" Elaina asked.
Julia nodded with a grin. "Heh, of course, Sis! I made sure to buy many necessities we would need for quite a while. In fact, I even decided to increase our time limit in case those guys were serious. The supply of food and other necessities we will need in the house should be enough to hold the fort for at least 2 seasons, namely Spring and Summer. If nothing goes wrong, this stockpile will only go bad around the end of summer and the beginning of the autumn season."
Elaina nodded in approval. In her mind, she only thought of doing it for one season but extending it to almost reach the third season isn’t so bad. If things are really bad, this should last for quite some time indeed.
"Still, I have some doubts that things would become really bad later. In fact, this stuff might even last longer than expected considering I also do grab some game in the forest, and the fruits and vegetables I am growing alongside the fish I caught when fishing are something that would increase our supply. If they tried to even sabotage our line of supply, too bad for them then."
...
...
...
And so, Elaina and everyone on the farm begin to remain on the farm without going outside the premises. At first, Elaina thought that the fear that the First Prince was feeling seemed to be exaggerated, but she soon realized that his fears were indeed warranted. There are plenty of small incidents during the first day of the ban being lifted.
Most of those incidents were pretty minor and are honestly insignificant that Elaina might have not even realized the farm was being attacked already. But it soon slowly escalated over the next few days. Someone even throws an exploding stone on the farm and not just those stones that are pebbles, stones that explode big and can cause some damage to the surrounding blast site.
Of course, all of the exploding stones were deactivated the moment they passed through the barrier by Julia. Still, it is concerning that there are exploding stones present. That is not a good sign.
"Miss Elaina, are you sure that we shouldn’t report these perpetrators? There is no way the guards will not catch them and put them into jail for committing crimes like terrorism and attempted arson," Princess Margaux suggested after Elaina collected the exploding stones and gathered them in one corner.
"No need, Princess. Right now, they might not be feeling any bad thing since we didn’t retaliate, but sooner or later, they will regret what they are doing right now. Everything they are doing will just come back to them in the end," Elaina smiled.
"Then what are you doing with those exploding stones, Miss Elaina? Aren’t they defused and deactivated? I doubt they will explode when they are regular stones now?"
"So what if they are defused? Old bombs and firecrackers still explode if enough force is given. Same with these stones. They might just be ordinary stones but once the right timing goes, they can still explode and will be bad. Now, Princess, step back farther. We will get rid of them before they will explode in areas where they shouldn’t explode."
Pulling her own exploding stone that was made by Julia herself, this is the stone she will be using to dispose of all of the stones that are needed to be removed. Elaina made sure to be at a distance and the stones were in a far area with no surrounding items that would get caught in the blast.
Rubbing the exploding stone in her hands, Elaina then throws her exploding stone and strikes the pile of defused Exploding stones.
BOOOM!
As soon as the explosion occurred, Elaina grinned.
"Now those bastards will think the stones they have thrown have exploded into one big explosion by now. If they are smart enough, they will surely move to a new method to attack the farm."
