A random pokemon journey -
Leaving Sinnoh
"So you are just going to become a god and then what, just relax? That seems like such a waste to me when you could do so much good instead." Byron said with an odd look. I shrugged "Nothing for it I'm afraid. If I try to get involved I'll be labeled a tyrant and if I don't a coward or heartless. There's no scenario where I don't get defamed at the end of this and contrary to popular belief i'm no saint who will shrug off insults and still help people." I said bluntly.-
Byron stayed and chatted for a bit longer after than, mostly about my next plans really before leaving. Finding a ship heading for Johto didn't take me long at all as a trade center like Canalave had ships constantly coming and going from all over the world. While the trip between Sinnoh and Johto was a long one regardless of which direction you went ships still regularly made this journey since Kanto and Johto were both considered the heart of modern advancement thanks to possessing Oak himself. The man was the bridge from the older ways to the newer ones, a sort of transitionary character in history.-
The ship itself was one of the S.S series that were made for cross regional transit and with only a little monetary palm greasing the captain accepted me and my pokemon on the ship though my team wasn't allowed out for long due to their sizes. The smaller ones like Vulcan, Hades and Tank were not a problem but the rest absolutely were. It also didn't help that Gaia's baby daddy was also not a small Garchomp either. As for her offspring Cynthia was more than happy to move all of them into the mountains near her clans ancestral home until she could find suitable trainers for them.-
Due to Gaia and the Garchomp father being variants and high level ones at that all of the Larvitar were variants as well with one even being a royal, elemental variant of the dragon typing. That particular Larvitar was one even Cynthia herself admitted to being tempted by if she didn't have a variant already in her team. I was saw off by Byron, Cynthia, Yani and Rowan in the end as the ship left port and I headed for my assigned room.-
It was a small room really with only a bed and a chest for my stuff which made sense as the room was meant for a sailor originally. I used my Unknown runes and spatial manipulation to increase the size of the room dramatically and released my pokemon since I saw no reason why I shouldn't. Their weight caused the ship to sink slightly but no nearly enough to be noticed. This trip was going to take about two months and staying in their balls for that whole time was going to be uncomfortable even if put into stasis mode.-
With this move however they could at least stretch out and interact with each other even if they were bored the whole time. You could only play so much type chess before even that stopped chasing away the boredom. Since there was no way to train without destroying the ship my pokemon mostly meditated or used weak moves to entertain themselves. I myself stayed mostly in a state of deep meditation for the vast majority of the days pushing my divinity further and further towards the reality domain. By the time we started to get near Johto there were small fluctuations coming off me that left my pokemon confused as though I was there while not at the same time.-
I wasn't surprised by this as I was nearly ninety six percent done converting my divinity to the reality domain and with maybe another two or three days from now I'd be fully done. This closeness left my aura creating small pieces of the domains effects on reality around me causing this strange distortion. Walking out onto the deck I could smell the distant landmass we were approaching on the winds. The scent of dense forests and plantlife that the high winds had carried out to sea.-
[Achievement: Reach Johto/Kanto! Reward: 4x ability tickets!]
I wasted no time at all tearing those tickets apart in my room once I got back summoning the ability wheel. It spun for a minute before stopping briefly and highlighting the result before spinning again. It repeated this for a total of three times after the first spin and I got all four results at once. Plant manipulation, Greater storage, Shadow copy and Greater plant manipulation were what I got. I had an odd expression when these abilities integrated into my divinity and body as to be honest only one of the four was actually new in what it did.-
I already had a powerful plant manipulation ability but now I was fairly certain that only a legendary god could rival my new prowess in that field. Greater storage was even less useful as it simply integrated with the Spatial manipulation ability as it was a sub-ability of it. Shadow copy was a new one though and rather interesting as well as it didn't actually have anything to do with shadows. In fact it was closer to say that the ability was a monkey see monkey do type deal.-
The name word shadow in the abilities name referred to how the user "shadowed" the one that they were copying. Frankly this ability was fantastic for skills as it allowed exacting mastery of any skill so long as one had a target to copy. The only real restriction was that you only copied movements and without the accompanying understanding as well being a mere imitation was the best one could accomplish. I found it kinda amusing that this ability was nearly perfect for my chosen domain and mass of skills that needed training.-
These abilities caused almost no change to my divinity at all to be honest besides slightly setting me back in progress as the energy there grew a bit and needed to be converted to the domain. It wasn't even a major reversion of progress either, just putting me at ninety percent converted from where I was originally. "LAND HO!" a loud voice yelled to announce the sighting of the land as we approached through the coastal waters.
