A Guide to Farming in a Mobile City
Chapter 20: Solo Resource Feast!

After carefully reading the bulletin board, Li Ye led Old Zhou and the others toward the center of Spore Town.

A few minutes later, the Spore Town administrative officer appeared.

It was a tall red Mushroom Person dressed in formal attire, walking with graceful posture, with a feather pen pinned to its chest.

"Welcome to Spore Town, human. I hope you can make outstanding contributions to Spore Town," it said. "Of course, I won't let you suffer any losses either."

As it spoke, it displayed the resources that could be exchanged in Spore Town.

Upon seeing the resource list clearly, everyone present was stunned.

【Level 1 Crop - Sunshine Apple Tree Seeds: 1000 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 City Accessory - Mushroom Wheels Design Blueprint: 700 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 Rocket Launcher Design Blueprint: 800 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 City Accessory - Spore Armor Design Blueprint: 900 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 City Accessory - Mycelium Treads Design Blueprint: 500 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 Firearm - Spore Submachine Gun: 600 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 1 Frost Ore: 10 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 450】

【Level 1 Frost Crystal: 2000 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

【Level 2 City Accessory - Repair Mechanical Arm: 8000 Contribution Points, Purchase Limit: 1】

In addition, the administrative officer also sold blueprints for everyday items like electric fans, motorcycles, and robotic vacuum cleaners, with prices ranging from 50 to 200 points.

There were also food and drinks such as Spore Biscuits, Mushroom Stew, and Spore Town’s Special Honey Brew.

Resources like iron ore, coal, and fuel were also available, priced at 1-5 Contribution Points per unit, with a purchase cap of 1000 units.

Li Ye stared intently at the items listed in front of him.

Spore Armor, Mushroom Wheels, Level 1 Rocket Launcher... these were all undeniably good stuff!

What surprised him most was that there were actually Frost Ore and Frost Crystal—resources he urgently needed to craft a Frost Cannon!

What was even more unbelievable was that there was even a Level 2 item!

The Level 2 City Accessory - Repair Mechanical Arm, could fully automate maintenance of a Mobile City and provided an additional 15% kinetic energy. It only consumed iron ore during repairs. Having it was akin to owning a professional mechanic team.

And it wasn't a blueprint, but a finished product—which meant that Lords didn’t have to go through the hassle of gathering resources to build it. They could use it immediately as long as they had enough Contribution Points to exchange for it!

Even so, as he kept looking, Li Ye furrowed his brows.

For a Level 1 city, the most useful Level 2 items were undoubtedly heavy machine guns, cannons, city armor, or Level 2 vehicles.

The Mechanical Repair Arm was good, but still fell just a bit short.

The Mushroom Person administrative officer then handed a commissioning badge to Li Ye. Whenever Li Ye and his group killed Antfolk or captured strongholds in the wild, the badge would automatically tally Contribution Points.

When Li Ye received the commissioning badge, he turned his head to glance at the other two Lords.

The two of them were staring straight at that Level 2 Mechanical Arm, clearly both wanted it.

After thinking for a moment, Li Ye made a decision.

Rather than exhausting himself competing with the other two for 8000 points to get the Level 2 Mechanical Arm, it was better to prioritize exchanging for resources to build a Level 1 Cannon, and also get the Level 1 Crop, Level 1 City Armor, and Level 1 Rocket Launcher.

After all, a Level 1 Cannon provided a tremendous upgrade for a Mobile City!

The highest priority for exchange, however, was still that Frost Crystal—since Frost Ore Veins didn’t necessarily produce crystals.

That said, Li Ye still couldn’t help glancing longingly at that Mechanical Arm—after all, it was a Level 2 item, a rare treasure! The more Level 2 items a Level 1 city had, the greater the advantage it had in the wild!

He then launched an emergency mobilization on the Tomorrow.

The entire Mobile City had 25 people. Excluding the two Helmsmen, Mechanic Lin Wu, and his friend’s younger sister, and the Lookout, Li Ye called upon all the rest, including the injured.

All the iron ore stored on the Tomorrow was used by Li Ye to craft bullets and shells, with the majority being made into Peregrine Falcon Assault Rifles.

Including himself, Li Ye divided the remaining 20 people into three shifts and began frantically hunting Antfolk in the Rotting Lands.

Before long, Li Ye spotted a group of Antfolk.

They were about the same size as humans, with sharp limbs, tall builds, and hard carapaces.

At that moment, this group of Antfolk was resting around a campfire.

With a wave of Li Ye’s hand, a shell exploded among the Antfolk with a sharp whistling sound.

Since it was a regular shell, its lethality against Level 1 monsters like the Antfolk was limited, so they only sustained minor injuries.

However, after a round of shooting with the Peregrine Falcon Assault Rifles, the Antfolk were turned into ashes.

The Tomorrow rolled over their campfire and sped forward.

......

By evening, the Tomorrow returned to Spore Town.

Li Ye, up on the Watchtower, set down his gun and wiped the sweat from his forehead in exhaustion.

Since morning, he had led a team in a relentless sweep of Antfolk and their small strongholds within ten kilometers of Spore Town, like a spinning top that never stopped.

As of now, he had accumulated a total of 3080 Contribution Points.

Li Ye immediately exchanged them for that Frost Crystal and the Level 1 Rocket Launcher blueprint.

During that time, he quietly looked around Spore Town with a thoughtful expression.

Spore Town had so many good things that even a city like the Tomorrow couldn’t exhaust its resources alone. If he could successfully rob it...

That said, Spore Town’s armed forces were no joke.

This town had around 500 Mushroom People residents, all starting at elite level. Some were even elite captain-grade, all armed with Level 1 weapons. Worse still, the town was equipped with Level 1 heavy machine guns and Level 1 cannons.

This was a clear sign that if you dared to rob them, you wouldn’t live to regret it.

Unless... you were strong enough to rob them.

“Forget it, better to just earn Contribution Points honestly,” Li Ye scratched his head.

A new day arrived.

Upon waking, Li Ye immediately grabbed the Peregrine Falcon Assault Rifle next to his bed.

Last night’s haul was meager—only 350 points.

There were two main reasons.

First, the Antfolk and their strongholds within dozens of kilometers around Spore Town had been swept clean by the three Mobile Cities.

Now they had to venture deeper into the Rotting Lands, which was more time-consuming and labor-intensive.

Second, fewer Antfolk roamed at night, and it was hard to find them since Mobile Cities only had spotlights at night.

As he got up, Li Ye also brought up the System Panel for a glance.

At that moment, the system cooldown had just refreshed.

【Time until next Intelligence Refresh: 4 days, 23 hours, 55 seconds】

【Number of Intelligence Entries: 7】

Li Ye only gave it a brief look before closing it—his current focus was on killing monsters and capturing strongholds to earn Contribution Points.
