Chapter 986: Chapter 740 Three-eyed Feather God_2
The figure in the blue robe acted as if he had just done something trivial, then leisurely sat back down with legs crossed.
The gigantic python-like creature, about a hundred meters long and four meters wide, covered in emerald-green feathers and possessing three eyes, finally broke free from the vortex of darkness. It paused briefly, then extended its snout to sniff, and as if recognizing the direction, it immediately soared into the air, heading straight towards some location in the west.
"Quick, Su Yu, follow it," Ada urged with evident anxiety, prompting Su Yu to act. With a stomp of his foot and a whoosh, he darted after the emerald feathered creature.
The creature flew at a remarkably fast speed, forcing Su Yu to undergo a transformation; he ignited his Golden Blood within, his silhouette grew larger, and he eventually morphed into a nine-meter-tall humanoid giant with skin half gold, half silver. Accelerating his pace, he finally managed to keep up without being left behind by the feathered monster.
"Emerald feathers... Three eyes... This must be the Feather God of the Three-eyed Tribe, famous from the previous era... It’s hard to believe it too has fallen..." Ada murmured softly to himself, gazing at the serpent with emerald feathers soaring in the distance, as memories of the previous era seemed to resurface.
"Su Yu, hurry, intercept it. No matter the cost, we must catch it," Ada’s voice suddenly echoed in Su Yu’s mind. Su Yu shuddered, and without hesitation, he summoned the Azure Giant God.
A gigantic hand, resembling a small hill, appeared abruptly out of thin air and swung fiercely down towards the feathered serpent flying ahead of Su Yu.
The surprise assault by the Azure Giant God came from high above, but the serpent seemed to have expected it. Its tail, tens of meters long, swiftly curled up and lashed out viciously against the Azure Giant God’s face.
With a thunderous boom, the serpent displayed terrifying strength. The gigantic hand that the Azure Giant God had brought down was forcefully repelled by the creature’s tail, but this brief pause allowed Su Yu to catch up, and without uttering a word, he unleashed a heavy blow of "Annihilation."
Another thunderous roar, the air vibrated, and the serpent let out a fierce, piercing scream. Emerald feathers scattered from its body. Twisting its head, the third eye on its forehead suddenly shot out an immensely dreadful pale green light, hitting Su Yu right in the chest.
Su Yu grunted, tumbling away, to his shock, he noticed the Golden Scales that had emerged on his chest showed signs of shattering, and blood slowly started to ooze out.
This was the first time that Su Yu had been injured since leaving the Lost World.
As Su Yu touched his chest, taking in a sharp breath, the split wound healed over completely during the intake of air, while the Azure Giant God, with a roar like thunder, grappled furiously with the feathered serpent.
The feathered serpent clearly had the upper hand, and its third eye struck once again, immediately showering the Azure Giant God’s body with fresh blood, almost penetrating a transparent hole through it.
"What kind of creature is this? It’s so powerful..." Su Yu took a breath and could see that the creature’s strength was no less than that of a deity. He might stand a chance against it if he used the power of Thunder, but Ada had told him they needed to capture it alive, which seemed nearly impossible.
"Ada, you said to capture it alive? That’s extremely difficult..." Su Yu sent his thoughts to Ada, who was already hurriedly responding, "Just leaving it behind will suffice, whether dead or alive doesn’t matter, as long as it’s severely wounded."
"Understood," Su Yu let out a sigh of relief. Since there was no need to capture it alive, things were much simpler. His Golden Wings gradually emerged behind his back, and just at that moment, suddenly, two dark pillars of light shot across the sky in the distance, followed by two booming voices.
"Maya Pillar God?" Su Yu was startled, but Ada had already cried out, "We’re in trouble."
No sooner had he spoken than the hundred-meter-long serpent with emerald feathers, surrounded by black fissures resembling heavenly pits, plunged into one of them and vanished from sight.
"Summoning the Heavenly Pit?" Su Yu was taken aback, thinking to himself, wasn’t that the ability of Category 5 lifeforms? Could the true form of that feathered giant serpent be...
Two dark columns of light struck down from the sky, but to their utmost surprise, the feathered giant serpent suddenly vanished. The strike missed its target, and the light columns slightly retracted, a muffled groan coming from within: "Sly creature, it actually escaped."
Ada’s voice resonated in Su Yu’s mind: "Damn Maya Pillar Gods, interfering with our plans. The Feather God was startled away by them, no one knows which space it escaped to. Hurry, over there, its ultimate destination must still be there."
Ada pointed out the direction, and Su Yu didn’t bother with the two Pillar Gods, immediately darting off towards the distance.
The two Pillar Gods glanced at each other before whispering: "Follow him..." and quietly pursued Su Yu.
"These two Maya Gods are following me," Su Yu communicated quietly to Ada.
"Don’t worry about them now, those fools know nothing and act recklessly. If they keep it up, I don’t see them lasting much longer," Ada said with a light chuckle. Su Yu whispered, "Ada, let me ask you, that Three-eyed Feathered God you mentioned, is that a Category 5 lifeform?"
"Mhm, you noticed too? That is... a matured Category 5 lifeform." Ada’s words made Su Yu take a deep breath before he continued, "You said it’s a Feathered God from the Three-eyed Tribe from the Fourth Era; could it be that you, the Category 5 lifeforms, are actually..."
Ada whispered, "Don’t talk too much now, look, we’ve arrived at our destination."
Su Yu looked into the distance and saw the Heavenly Pit Forest enveloped in a pale red light. Right now, within this "Heavenly Pit Forest," a figure was stepping on the ripples of water, seemingly attempting to traverse the River of Oblivion and leave the "Heavenly Pit Forest."
From afar, Su Yu only needed one glance at that figure to take a sharp intake of breath.
"Black Iron Ninth Level..." For a moment, he couldn’t describe the strangeness of his feelings.
Although he knew that the current "Heavenly Pit Forest" differed from the forests of the past, where typically, the most powerful monsters were of the Fourth Order, and once they evolved to around Black Iron Fourth Order, it became tough to find more powerful monsters to evolve further, and reaching the Fourth Order Realm usually allowed one to traverse the forest easily.
However, the current "Heavenly Pit Forest" had a continuous stream of monsters of all orders being placed within it. Yet, even so, it seemed impossible for a human to evolve to Black Iron Ninth Level in the blink of an eye. One must know that for the first four orders, it’s simply a matter of killing enough monsters and absorbing enough energy, but each level beyond becomes increasingly difficult, requiring understanding and more. Su Yu himself had spent a full seven months and under various fortuitous circumstances before evolving into a Black Iron Warrior of Ninth level.
The human in the distance who was preparing to cross the pale red light screen and leave the "Heavenly Pit Forest" had evolved to Black Iron Ninth Level in just one day. This rate of evolution was shockingly rapid, leaving Su Yu agape in astonishment.
"Stop staring, there’s nothing surprising about it. With a higher starting point, evolution of course happens faster. I estimate that the forest’s pale red light only allows exit and not entry. This fellow must be the first among those billions of humans to reach the Black Iron Ninth Level Realm, and so... a Category 5 lifeform emerged from the dark vortex." When Ada reached this point, Su Yu suddenly realized and couldn’t help but exclaim, "I understand now, that feathered snake is looking for him... It wants to establish a Symbiotic Contract with him, the guide of destiny you mentioned must be that feathered snake, right. If this fellow truly is the Child of Destiny, then the feathered snake is the guide of his destiny."
In that moment, Su Yu came to a realization, while Ada slightly narrowed his eyes, smiling a little slyly, "That’s why I wanted you to intervene and stop that Feather God, who is the guide... I want... to devour it... I’ve been in my growth period for far too long."
Su Yu trembled violently and turned to look at Ada.(To be continued, if you wish to know what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com. More Chapters are available there, support the author, support genuine reading!)
