Chapter 863: 653 Chapter Awakening from a Deep Sleep_2

But the situation was urgent, and Wang Heng could not afford to care about much else. As he raised the Sword of Immortal Destruction in his hand to issue an order, suddenly the sound of a musical instrument’s strings twanged—catching him by surprise. Before Wang Heng could understand what was happening, he grunted, feeling as if his head had been hammered by a colossal force of ten thousand catties. Caught off guard, his body pitched forward, and he plummeted straight down.

The ambush was unexpected, and the thousand Black Warriors he led were greatly alarmed.

"City Lord—"

"Captain—"

"Big brother—"

These people cried out in shock, immediately throwing their formation into complete disarray.

"Twang, twang, twang—" the resonant sound of the instrument continued, and instantly, another group of Black Warriors screamed as they fell straight down.

"The Lord has made his move." Purple Bamboo, piloting a Fallen Beast, saw this and immediately took her Reverse Hook Spear in hand, charging out of the "Fallen Battle Beast."

"Howl—" Purple Bamboo let out a sharp, piercing shriek. She swung her Reverse Hook Spear, hooking one of the Black Warriors in an instant, then yanked it viciously. This Black Warrior, a late addition to their ranks, only had the strength of Ninth Level Peak. Instantly, blood spurted skyward as his head was torn off by the hook of the spear.

"Guardian Knights—Charge—" The doors on both sides of another Guardian Beast opened wide, and a thousand Guardian Knights stationed inside, riding dark green Giant Lizards, charged out of the Beast Fortress and into the midst of the somewhat panicked ranks of Black Warriors. A massive battle erupted in an instant.

Wang Heng, who had fallen, let out a ferocious yell, suddenly getting to his feet. Knowing that the situation was dire, he barely managed to rise when he roared, "Form up—" His words were cut off as a figure descended rapidly from the sky, a terrifying force tearing through the void, aiming straight for his head.

Purple Bamboo, the leader of the Amori Clan’s "Fallen Knights Corps"—a bewitchingly beautiful woman and a powerhouse in the Demi-God Realm—had her Reverse Hook Spear poised above Wang Heng’s head in an instant, leaving him no time to rally the Black Warriors or form a combined attack.

"Humph—" Wang Heng let out a low howl, waving his right hand. The "Sword of Immortal Destruction" in his grip formed an arc across the sky. Purple Bamboo let out a bizarre laugh, and with a twist of her spear, its hook caught hold of Wang Heng’s "Sword of Immortal Destruction."

"Release—" Purple Bamboo let out a fierce shriek, giving a fierce tug. Wang Heng laughed wildly: "Release your mother’s—" His right hand suddenly detonated with a blinding Golden light, the "Sword of Immortal Destruction" quivering sharply. "Twang" went the sword, and Purple Bamboo cried out in shock. Not only did she fail to pry the sword from Wang Heng’s grip, but her Reverse Hook Spear was wrenched away, and she herself took a heavy punch from Wang Heng’s left arm in a flash.

Wang Heng’s left arm could not undergo Goldenization and only showed a Silver Fist. Even so, blood seeped from Purple Bamboo’s mouth as she tumbled backward and slammed into the ground a hundred meters away.

After blasting Purple Bamboo away with a strike, Wang Heng stamped his foot, preparing to pounce and annihilate Purple Bamboo. But just as he attempted to rise, suddenly, the twang of the musical instrument resounded beside his ear. Wang Heng’s head felt like it would explode, and he could not help but grasp his head and let out a piercing scream as two streams of blood gushed from his ears.

Above the void, a man was sitting cross-legged in mid-air. This man was dressed in a soft, silk, dark green robe, his features delicate and almost impossibly handsome. At that moment, he was holding a golden lute in his hands, his slender fingers plucking at it carelessly. With each twang, sounding like the shattering of porcelain, one of the Black Warriors, who had been about to leap toward him, bellowed in pain as his chest burst open, blood mixing with the white of his bones spurting out. The Black Warrior died instantly, falling to his doom.

High in the sky, a disc-shaped small flying craft hovered in place, with Yana and Weike witnessing the great battle below from inside the vessel.

"That’s ’King of Sound’ Sherlock, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Amori City," Weike gasped sharply, his face displaying a look of utter astonishment.

Suddenly, Yana picked up the black case from the ground.

"Miss, you..." Weike paused, bewildered. Yana opened the cabin door and calmly said, "Sherlock has initiated the war without cause, slaughtering innocents. I must punish him!" After declaring this, she stepped out, pressed down on her sun hat, and plunged downwards.

"Miss—," Weike exclaimed in horror, his face instantly losing color as he cried out.

At that moment, in the "Tian Shu Training Ground" behind "Black Martial City," in the Giant Dragon Mountain Range, Qi Ming, Silver Moon, and several other Black Warriors were anxiously guarding the area, constantly turning their heads to look in the direction of "Black Martial City."

The battle at "Black Martial City" was earth-shattering, with roars of rage from Wang Heng and Zhang Kuo frequently heard, clearly indicating that the situation was dire. Yet they couldn’t leave their post, with Qi Ming’s face breaking out in a cold sweat as he muttered, "Who could it be? Could it be the people from the Silver Empire attacking again?"

In the Tian Shu Training Ground, the six-winged six-headed creature was still curled up and sleeping, but the energy of the world that had been fluctuating endlessly now began to slowly calm down.

This six-winged six-headed creature, colored a pale earthy yellow and in many places appearing as if its scales had yet to grow, resembled a newborn baby. Just as Qi Ming and the others were growing increasingly anxious, suddenly, the creature that had been lying still began to tremble slightly. Then, its curled-up body seemed to slowly start stretching out.

"It’s moving?" Qi Ming was the first to notice, his face changing dramatically. He hurriedly took a step forward. Just at that moment, a piercing roar came from the sky, followed by a muffled grunt as a figure tumbled down heavily.

"Ah—," the falling figure spat out a mouthful of blood, and deep claw-shaped wounds, deep enough to show bone, were visible on his blood-drenched chest.

Taken by surprise, Qi Ming and Silver Moon turned their heads in shock.

"Blood Tiger?"

Qi Ming quickly recognized the person who had suddenly fallen from the sky as one of the Black Warriors, known as Blood Tiger.

Blood Tiger was extremely tall, and "Blood Tiger" was his nickname, but eventually everyone got used to calling him that, and no one knew his real name anymore.

The reason Blood Tiger was called that was due to his special ability, "Bloody Qi," which allowed him to extract power from his own and his enemies’ blood, granting him demi-god strength.

"Blood Tiger, what happened?" Before Silver Moon could question him, Qi Ming already yelled out a warning. Drawing the Netherworld Sword, he was immediately met with a metallic "clang" as Qi Ming grunted and stumbled back. A green-scaled dragon-winged giant lizard descended from the sky, pushing Qi Ming away in an instant. The warrior fully clad in silver on the lizard’s back thrust his spear towards the downed Blood Tiger’s head.

"Roar—" the downed Blood Tiger roared, his hands lifting as copious amounts of blood surged from his body, forming a "Bloody Claw" that grasped toward the incoming Silver Long Spear, as his figure rolled away, narrowly avoiding the lizard’s strike.

The green lizard plunged down once more, then leaped into the air again, followed by an upward roar. Soon, two more Fallen Knights mounted on green lizards appeared, diving toward Blood Tiger, Qi Ming, and Silver Moon.

Although Qi Ming and Silver Moon were also demi-gods, compared to someone like Zhang Kuo, they didn’t have the power to form a Golden Fist like Lin Yi. Qi Ming and Silver Moon were still at the lowest level of the Demi-God Realm, and these Fallen Knights riding the green lizards were even stronger than Zhang Kuo, making it a challenge to kill one.

Blood Tiger had been entangled with one of the Fallen Knights when he inadvertently passed overhead and ultimately fell, landing right behind Qi Ming and Silver Moon, who were guarding the outside of the Tian Shu Training Ground.

Seeing several Black Warriors here, the Fallen Knight immediately summoned a few more of his comrades and then joined forces to dive down for the kill.

Qi Ming drew out his Netherworld Sword, the blade sending forth a ten-meter-long black sword light, ready for a fierce battle. Blood Tiger’s encounter made it clear just how terrifying these three knights riding lizards truly were.

The three great Fallen Knights rode their Amori Sacred Beast green lizards, swooping down, unaware that not far from them in the Tian Shu Training Ground, a massive creature was stretching out, its six wings that had been folded together slowly lifting.

The terrifying being was finally awakening from its slumber... (To be continued. If you wish to know what happens next, please visit www.qidian.com. More Chapters are available there; support the author, support genuine reading!)
