Chapter 840: Chapter 637 The Fall of the Giant_1

Above the void, the former commander of the third largest squad, Wang Heng, who led a thousand Black Warriors, let out a roar. The thousand Black Warriors above the void gathered together, and the raging flames rising from "Black Flame Hell" instantly formed a black column of fire, which collided with the blue-white Thunder in an instant, shattering the entire void.

The terrifying Darkness rifts continued to spread, following which, the Thunder column with the strength of five hundred million volts collapsed. Amongst it, a person made entirely of blue-white Thunder appeared, opened its mouth, and spat out a stream of blood.

The stream of blood sprayed across the void, causing a building a kilometer away to instantly explode and collapse.

"King of Thunder, today we will sacrifice your blood to celebrate the reunion of our Black Warriors and celebrate the second coming of our king to this world,"

In the void, Wang Heng’s rough voice echoed once more, and below, Zhang Kuo was thrilled beyond measure. He had never expected Wang Heng to appear so soon and to lead his entire third squad of Black Warriors. A complete squad of a thousand Black Warriors represented a force capable of rivaling a deity, and now, they no longer needed to fear anyone.

The Black Warriors were truly resurrected.

Wang Heng roared in the void, his black sword pointing remotely at the Thunder person. Immediately, the world-devouring "Black Flame Hell" ignited with a black fire that could even burn the void, eclipsing the sun, and instantly enveloping the Thunder person within.

The Thunder person let out a terrified roar, its body releasing billions of volts of electricity to create Light Spheres, desperately resisting the horrendous "Black Flame Hell."

"My Lord—," from afar, a cry of alarm rang out, followed by the whistling sound of a Silver Train charging out of the void.

The Thunder person summoned four legions, stationed at all four corners, originally intending to catch their enemy off guard, but it never anticipated such formidable strength from the Black Warriors. Its roars and cries of terror echoed in all directions, and finally, soldiers from the ambushing legions sensed something was amiss and began converging towards the center.

"Hmph," eyeing the whistling Silver Train, Wang Heng in the void swept his Giant Eye across and waved his right hand. Immediately, within "Black Flame Hell," a stream of Black Flame transformed into a giant Black Flame dragon, which instantly met the oncoming Silver Train. Amidst the dreadful explosion and agonizing screams, the Silver Train, filled with Silver Soldiers, was annihilated without leaving a single trace.

"So it turns out, ’Black Flame Hell’ can be used in this way... its power is so terrifying. But isn’t it only supposed to be usable by you, Ada? How... how can they use it..."

Su Yu was as astonished by the incredible strength before his eyes as he was confused. But he quickly figured it out; these beings beyond imagination had far surpassed his understanding. He was viewing them through his own perspectives, which naturally made it difficult to comprehend the truth.

Watching the Silver Train being destroyed by Wang Heng in the void, the Black Warriors below all cheered excitedly. The Thunder person, engulfed and devoured by "Black Flame Hell," let out a painful and hoarse howl. It was unwilling to fall here; it was meant to become an Immortal being someday.

But "Black Flame Hell," the combined might of thousands of Black Warriors capable of burning even the deities to death, was indeed not something it could resist or endure. It felt its body about to be burned to ash, its soul on the brink of Annihilation.

"Kill him, kill him—"

The cheers, like a tsunami, rose not just from the Black Warriors below but from all the living beings of the Hundred Clans Settlement. At this moment, all their accumulated fury burst out, howling to the sky, releasing their own battle cries.

The Silver Empire and Imperial City had dominated this world with their arrogant tyranny for thousands of years, having long stirred dissatisfaction amongst the weaker races. The protracted slaughters between Imperial City and Demon City had spread to numerous races, turning their dwellings into battlefields and inflicting innumerable casualties.

In the last battle between Imperial City and Demon City, if not for Qi Ming’s intervention, if not for his sufficient strength, the hard-earned Hundred Clans Settlement, formed over many years and countless efforts, might have been obliterated. Hence, to these people, their hatred for both cities was deep and unforgiving.

At this moment, seeing the Silver Train destroyed, watching countless Silver Armored Warriors slaughtered, and witnessing one of the three great leaders of the Silver Empire on the verge of falling, everyone’s anger, deeply buried in their hearts, was unleashed. They roared towards the heavens, their outcry a testament to their indignation.

Above the void, a thousand Black Warriors, following Wang Heng’s roar, pointed their swords to where "Black Flame Hell’s" inferno turned the entire void into a sea of fiery hell. The trapped Thunder person issued a despairing howl, filled with both excruciating pain and unimaginable fear.

A Demi-god, intending to burn their life force and soul to induce a self-detonation, is not something that can be achieved casually. And so, at this moment, even if he desired a self-explosion to take down some foes with him, he was unable to do so.

Moreover, self-destruction would result in the complete obliteration of both body and spirit, leaving not the slightest chance for any other outcome. For this reason, almost no Demi-god would ever foolishly resort to such a measure. That’s why the King of Thunder, upon seeing those hundreds of Black Warriors, did not hesitate to use a special method to detonate his life and soul, finding these people inexplicable and regarding them as lunatics.

The shield formed by billions of volts of Lightning Power was shredded to pieces by the "Black Flame Hell." The figure of light and lightning let out a raspy roar and was instantly devoured by "Black Flame Hell."

But in that instant, an invisible and intangible force silently tore a gap in the "Black Flame Hell." As the figure of lightning shattered, it enveloped something and then vanished into the void.

Everything happened without anyone noticing. What everyone saw was the King of Thunder, one of the three titans of the "Silver Empire," disintegrated into ashes and smoke, devoured by "Black Flame Hell," becoming nothingness.

All of "Hundred Clans Settlement" who witnessed this erupted in unprecedented frenzied cheers. Far away, in the darkness aboard the dark ship, several figures watched everything from afar, each letting out a soft gasp of shock.

"This is impossible, how could the ’Imperial City’ stand by and watch the King of Thunder be destroyed? This makes no sense," one of them murmured in disbelief.

"How could this happen? One of the three great leaders of ’Imperial City,’ the King of Thunder, died just like that?" another said, stunned and finding it difficult to accept the news.

"What we are able to see is just the surface of the conflict," an aged voice spoke slowly.

Several other voices immediately responded with respect, "Great Elder, please share your insight."

"The surface conflict appears to be a struggle between the King of Thunder’s forces and these Black Warriors. However, I believe there is more at play behind the scenes. Whether the King of Thunder is truly dead remains an unknown, perhaps, this is just someone else’s setup? Maybe even a performance for us to see?"

Those around him felt a chill, with one saying articulately, "Great Elder, do you believe the King of Thunder is not truly dead?"

"Hmm, the King of Thunder would not be killed so easily. I think behind this apparent strife there must be another contest, but one without smoke and gunfire, which we cannot see. It is time to return and report all this," said the Great Elder.

"However, on the surface, at least the Black Warrior army from the previous era, all eight thousand strong, has resurrected. In their first battle, they destroyed the King of Thunder, one of the ’Silver Empire’s’ three great leaders. This news, I believe, will soon spread and shock the entire Silver world... Black Warriors, for you, this is both glory and disaster... It remains to be seen whether the one behind this truly seeks your revival, or intends your annihilation..."

With a sigh, the dark ship hidden in the shadows began to quietly depart from the area, as secretly as they had arrived, unnoticed by anyone.

The red moon gradually faded, and with it, the night that shocked the entire "Silver Empire" finally passed. With the King of Thunder obliterated, Wang Heng, the former captain of the third team, descended with a thousand Black Warriors and collectively knelt before Ada.

Ada looked over the swath of Black Warriors before him, their black-clad figures and armor reminiscent of old times, and fragments of memories passed through his mind.

Zhang Kuo approached, looking at Wang Heng with surprise: "Big Brother Wang, how is this possible? The entire third squadron of Black Warriors is here?"

"Ten thousand years ago, the Black Warriors were disbanded, but the third squadron I led did not. To preserve our strength, we had no choice but to retreat deep into the million mountains. Although many brothers died along the way, we took root in the depths of the million mountains. The passing of ten thousand years allowed us to grow into a massive settlement. Talented individuals were recruited to fill in the gaps, and our third squadron still boasts a thousand Black Warriors," Wang Heng recounted with unmistakable pride. By then, Zhang Kuo and the others realized that not everyone among the thousand Black Warriors was from ten thousand years ago; many had been added later. It was clear, however, that Wang Heng had trained them well, hence their immense power in battle.

"Speaking of which, we owe much of this victory to the item that Lord Ada left behind," said Wang Heng, of average height and unremarkable appearance except for a pair of eyes that shone with a piercing authority that made it difficult for others to meet his gaze.

Although the Black Warriors were victorious, "Hundred Clans Settlement" was also severely damaged. A look of worry flickered in Zhang Kuo’s eyes. He bowed respectfully to Ada and then said, "Big Brother Wang, the King of Thunder you’ve slain was one of the ’Silver Empire’s’ three great leaders. The ’Silver Empire’ will not let this pass easily. The deed is done; we need to prepare for what’s next." (To be continued, for more details, please visit www.qidian.com.
