Chapter 827: Chapter 628: The Birth of the Silver Soldier_1

Just like Qin Jiagui, Su Yu had turned into a humanoid bronze lizard in the instant the dark lightning struck. When he saw the bolts of dark lightning descending, he thought of the thunder within his own body and wondered if he could merge this dark lightning into his own, enhancing its power.

Regrettably, no sooner had he entertained this idea than he realized it was impossible. This dark lightning was of an entirely different nature from his own. It devoured his soul, and he couldn’t help but let out a roar of torment.

Qi Ming burst into laughter, "What’s there to scream about with such trivial pains? You have undergone far too little tempering," he said. Though he too was bombarded by the dark lightning, this peripheral dark lightning couldn’t harm him in the slightest or cause him any pain.

Spurred by Qi Ming’s words, Su Yu and Qin Jiagui clamped their mouths shut. Soon after, Su Yu sat down cross-legged once more, activating the Giant Will inside him. He numbed his own pain perception to alleviate the suffering, while simultaneously sensing the Power of the World within the dark lightning. He never would have imagined that at the world’s highest space, there existed a zone of dark lightning entirely composed of the Power of the World.

Such rampant Power of the World sealed off the high reaches of the sky. At this time, many powerful beings used this power to help their disciples or younger relatives ascend their realms. But for Su Yu, the sensation ran much deeper.

The Power of the World, regarded as the most ferocious energy, was so fearsome that even someone stronger than Qi Ming dared to bring Su Yu and the others only to the outermost fringes, using just a trace of the faintest World Power to enhance their realms. For them, the Power of the World was like the flames within a forge, meant for refining objects, but no one was willing to ingest these blazing flames into their bodies.

Of course, in this world, many powerful predecessors had once harbored the idea of consuming the wild Power of the World, but they all perished, leaving behind painful lessons for their descendants that the Power of the World can be borrowed but never possessed.

At this moment, Su Yu harbored the same thoughts as those deceased predecessors, relying on the mysterious will within his body.

The reason those ancestors who wished to devour the violent Power of the World died was that although their bodies were mighty, they had not reached the realm capable of ingesting the Power of the World.

But for Su Yu, with his mysterious body and will, none of this seemed to be an issue. Once he had this realization and sat down cross-legged, the Giant Will within him activated naturally, beginning to endlessly devour the dark lightning and fill Su Yu’s body with it. In this moment, Su Yu was like a black hole of energy absorption, crazily devouring the Power of the World present here.

Meanwhile, Qin Jiagui also sat down cross-legged. His method was different, more conventional. He proceeded in a structured manner, accepting the baptism of the World Power, refining his body, aiming for a higher realm.

In Qi Ming’s view, Qin Jiagui’s performance was quite normal and even quicker than most. The World Power soon encased his body within a giant cocoon, gradually forming an egg that enveloped Qin Jiagui. Qi Ming nodded in satisfaction, knowing that when Qin Jiagui emerged, he would no longer be a Bronze Warrior but a true Silver Soldier.

Legend has it that below the gods, the strongest warriors were those with the best chance to become divine.

Su Yu’s performance, however, was abnormal, even Qi Ming couldn’t see through it. He could only see the dark lightning gradually forming a massive vortex around Su Yu’s body. Subsequently, the World Power in the vicinity underwent a strange anomaly, converging wildly towards Su Yu from all directions into the dark vortex, before being devoured and vanishing without a trace.

"What is going on?" Qi Ming was astonished and puzzled, as he had never seen such a phenomenon before.

At this moment, Su Yu was half-unconscious, with all actions being directed by the Giant Will. After some time, a message seemed to come from the Giant Will: The amount of World Power Su Yu’s body had absorbed had reached its limit. Any more absorption would exceed what he could control.

There was no need for him to figure out a solution on his own. The Giant Will automatically severed the absorption, beginning to use the World Power to induce metamorphosis in Su Yu’s body.

In Qi Ming’s eyes, after the long-lasting anomaly, suddenly, the dark vortex outside Su Yu’s body began to dissipate and quickly engulfed Su Yu, who then began to form a cocoon as well.

Seeing this, Qi Ming finally exhaled in relief, letting go of some of his worries.

He didn’t know what strange anomaly had occurred in Su Yu, but at least now it seemed everything was alright, as Su Yu finally began his cocoon metamorphosis.

This transformation continued for nearly a day. Qi Ming steered the floating reef, gently descending and leaving the dark, lightning-infested area after a full day. Eventually, the shell of one of the giant eggs began to crack, and it was clear to Qi Ming that Qin Jiagui was emerging from it.

The "creak, creak" of the crispy sounds was unceasing; at last, two arms stretched out from the giant egg, followed by a roar, as a bronze-colored robot broke free from the egg, stepping onto the floating reef.

The one who emerged was indeed Qin Jiagui; excitedly, he waved his right arm. His body was bronze-colored, but when his right hand clenched, it bizarrely morphed into a giant fist gleaming with silvery light.

The Silver Fist was evidently larger than the rest of his body by one size. Qin Jiagui thought about those full-bodied, silver-armored giants he had seen, each standing six to seven meters, or even seven to eight meters tall; he guessed that if his entire body completed the silver evolution, he could possibly reach that height.

The Silver Fist, shining with a silvery gloss, had not only changed in color and size but also in shape—again.

Back in the Black Iron Realm, the right fist was nothing more than a layer of Black Iron skin. When it mutated into the Bronze Realm, the fist turned into a bronze mechanical fist. Now, having evolved to the Silver Rank, Qin Jiagui, upon grasping the Silver Fist, realized that it had once again transformed.

The Silver Fist, it seemed, was capped with a thick layer of gauntlet. These gauntlets interlocked with each other; when the fist clenched, they would creak and combine in a symphony of sounds, forming a large, airtight silver-armored fist. When he released his grip, the previously tightly interlocked silver gauntlets would separate and retract again—one covering the back of his hand, another shrinking into the palm enclosing it, while the rest retracted and extended, creating five slightly thinner, armored fingers, each looking like they were connected by segments of cylindrical silver tubes, wondrous to the extreme.

Qi Ming sensed the current state of Qin Jiagui and showed a slightly surprised expression. Generally, Bronze Warriors at the Ninth Level Peak, after receiving the baptism of the Power of the World here, would undergo metamorphosis to become Zero-Level Silver Soldiers.

But at this moment, Qin Jiagui had impressively broken through two ranks, evolving and mutating into a First-Level Silver Soldier.

The mysterious Seed Power within him was finally taking effect. The combination of the Power of the World with his inner Seed Power enabled Qin Jiagui to jump ranks. From the moment he stepped out of the giant egg, he had mutated into a First-Level Silver Soldier.

After Qin Jiagui had hatched, he immediately sat down cross-legged, closing his eyes as if comprehending something.

At the Black Iron Realm, advancing a rank would automatically grant a skill, with each person able to master up to five skills. The same was true in the Bronze Realm, gaining skills automatically. However, upon entering the Silver Realm, it was different; after advancing to the Silver Realm, one could no longer automatically master skills but had to rely on one’s talent to discern and train. There was also no limit on the number of skills one could learn.

Just having entered the realm of First-Level Silver Soldier, Qin Jiagui took advantage of this momentum to sit cross-legged, seeking to comprehend his own unique battle technique.

Upon stepping into the Silver Soldier Realm, his strength had increased manifold, his previous Black Iron or Bronze Rank skills starting to become somewhat irrelevant. He needed to transform these skills, mastering the most unique and powerful technique suitable for himself.

A look of satisfaction and admiration appeared on Qi Ming’s face. Qin Jiagui’s remarkable performance indeed made him acknowledge the extraordinary nature of this young man, undoubtedly a genius, who had managed to jump from the Ninth-Level Bronze Realm to the realm of a First-Level Silver Soldier. Such a feat was something only heard of, but Qi Ming himself had never experienced it. Qin Jiagui was outstanding, but what about Su Yu?

At this thought, Qi Ming couldn’t help but look towards Su Yu; there was still no sign of movement from Su Yu’s giant egg.

Qin Jiagui, who had been sitting cross-legged, stood up again as his entire body underwent continuous mutations, creating a "crack, crack" of snapping sounds. His Double Shoulder Cannon Tower, Dual Pursuit Cannons appeared time and again, only to retract once more. After what seemed like an eternity, he appeared to have comprehended nothing.

Qi Ming suddenly spoke lightly, "Right now, only your right fist has mutated, possessing Silver Rank strength. Think about it, your right fist."

Qi Ming’s words sent a shock through Qin Jiagui’s body, and he suddenly understood. Initially, he had been focusing on enhancing the mutations of his Double Shoulder Cannon Tower and Dual Pursuit Cannons. But since those parts hadn’t mutated, how could they be successful? With a sudden realization inspired by Qi Ming’s words, Qin Jiagui clenched his right fist, and Silver Rank power began to converge there, forming a vortex of silver heterogenous power. Qin Jiagui roared and threw a punch into the void.
