Chapter 821: 623
"No, Frog Man, you are no match for them..." the bark-skinned elder called out anxiously, trying to stop him. However, the frog-headed person moved with such speed that in just a few leaps and bounds, he landed between the Silver Armored Giant fighting fiercely nearby and another dark humanoid figure not inferior to him, bellowing fiercely, "This is the ’Hundred Clans Settlement’, outsiders are not allowed..."
Before he could finish his words, the dark humanoid figure stomped down with speed so great that Frog Man had no chance to react and was crushed in an instant.
With a "pop" sound, the extremely strong Frog Man, who ranked among the top twenty in the "Hundred Clans Settlement," was suddenly stomped into a mass of flesh, while the dark humanoid figure acted as if he hadn’t noticed his existence at all, stomping down, shaking the ground, his huge form colliding with the Silver Armored Giant.
With a "boom," the dark humanoid figure and the Silver Armored Giant both staggered and fell outwards, followed by a "rumbling" noise as two buildings were hit by their retreating forms and started to collapse downwards.
The staff-holding bark-skinned elder and some people around him watched as the frog-headed man was crushed into flesh, feeling chilled to the bone with anger, shock, and more so, fear.
The strength of the frog-headed man placed him among the top twenty in the entire "Hundred Clans Settlement," making him a central member of the "Settlement." Yet such a strong being had been casually stomped to death in a momentary encounter by the dark humanoid figure. How powerful must these strange creatures and the Silver Armored Giant be?
As more and more people from the sky descended upon the "Hundred Clans Settlement," the situation grew increasingly dire. Zhu Dasheng clenched his fists and could no longer hold back. He let out an angry roar and charged forward.
Zhu Dasheng had always kept a low profile, never showing how powerful he was, but now, as he finally roared and charged forward, Su Yu, Qin Jiagui, and others could truly feel the powerful energy fluctuations emanating from him, no weaker than their own at their strongest.
Almost at the same time, a long howl came from the distant horizon.
This howl possessed the might to split stones and pierce clouds, like the roar of an ancient dragon from primeval times. The howl continued without pause, and the distant figure shot straight towards them, dragging the howl like a colossal heavenly dragon, roaring along its path. The formidable presence was so shocking that even the Silver Train and Dark Giant Ship’s represented forces, the Silver Armored Giants, and dark humanoid figures were shaken, all turning their heads to look.
Within the "Hundred Clans Settlement," a wave of frenzied cheers erupted, and Zhu Dasheng, who had just rushed out a few steps, also stopped, then cried out in surprise, "Settlement Leader?"
Su Yu and Qin Jiagui hurriedly advanced a few steps as well. The one who had just emitted such a soul-shaking roar, was it the leader of the "Hundred Clans Settlement," the Black Warrior?
Following the shocking roar, a black figure, like a meteor sweeping across the sky, came forth with a terrifying black qi shooting behind him. As this black figure appeared, he reached behind with a backward pull, and Zhu Dasheng, his face filled with excitement, shouted to Su Yu and Qin Jiagui, "Look! Our Settlement Leader, the Black Warrior, that is, that is the Netherworld Sword—"
In the midst of his excited cry, they saw the dark armored figure who suddenly shot from afar pulling out a black giant sword radiating devouring energy from behind, slashing through the void towards the front.
Several tens of meters in front of him, a Silver Armored Giant was entangled in battle with another black giant figure. They were both startled by the roar and couldn’t help but turn to look, and then they saw the dark giant sword slash through the air, unleashing a terrifying black light.
Immediately after, both the Silver Armored Giant and the black giant figure silently split open from the middle and fell apart into four pieces, plummeting to the ground.
One sword struck, annihilating two massive beings. This sword shocked all directions, and almost at the same moment, two massive Silver Armored Giants and three dark humanoid giants nearby joined forces to attack the figure.
With the "Settlement Leader" Black Warrior’s sudden arrival and his sword slaying two giants, he certainly shook the entire scene, but then he was subjected to a terrifying attack. Two Silver Armored Giants and three dark humanoid giants teamed up to pounce on him with a force beyond imagination.
"Settlement Leader—" from afar, Zhu Dasheng couldn’t help but call out, promptly followed by a fierce swinging of his arms as he bellowed, "Kill these beasts—Settlement Leader—"
Suddenly, throughout the "Hundred Clans Settlement," countless cries of "Settlement Leader" erupted like a tsunami, shaking the wilderness.
Above the void, the figure in black robes, holding a giant sword formed of dark gleams over ten meters long, swung through the air with a turn around its body, "hisss hisss hisss hisss hisss" five crisp sounds in succession.
Five screams of agony roared as the two Silver Armored Giants and three giant Dark Humanoids that had just pounced toward him were once again sliced in half at the waist, ten massive fragments plummeted heavily, and the figure in black had already plunged downward with sword in hand.
The Dark Giant Sword swiped through the air, sending out an arc of black light. A Silver Armored Giant standing on a building screamed as it was split in two from the middle and fell, its blood spurting like a fountain.
One could neither describe the speed nor the terror; the giant sword of dark gleams, ten meters in length, cut through everything with ease, whether Silver Armored Giants or Dark Humanoids. Before this sword, all were effortlessly struck down, instantly falling victim to annihilation. Soon, more than twenty of the Silver Armored Giants and Dark Humanoids had been cleaved by the sword.
The remaining Silver Armored Giants and Dark Humanoids in the "Hundred Clans Settlement" panicked, soaring into the sky and retreating back to their Silver Trains or Dark Giant Ships.
The figure in black watched as the Silver Armored Giants and Dark Humanoids reascended into midair and, standing atop a building, pointed straight at the sky and roared fiercely, "Scram——"
The might of this scene was like the descent of a deity.
From a distance, Zhu Dasheng watched this unfolding, shaking with excitement, muttering to himself, "Settlement Leader, Black Warrior——"
The sky was full of Silver Armored Giants and Dark Humanoids, previously embroiled in vicious combat, considering the so-called "Hundred Clans Settlement" and its inhabitants as mere ants, paying no heed to their lives or deaths.
This was like two humans fighting, who would care if their feet trampled a bug, or harmed a small ant?
But in this moment, a supremely powerful ant had suddenly burst forth from among the beings they viewed as mere ants, slaying them as if they were brittles stalks before the wind. In his presence, they were like helpless chickens and dogs, and in the blink of an eye, more than twenty had perished under the hand of the figure in black.
Amidst their bewildered shock, finally, from within the Silver Train, a somewhat icy voice rang out, "Let’s go, the location chosen for today was somewhat inappropriate. Next time, we shall settle life and death."
Following that voice, the Silver Armored Giants surged back into the Silver Train, with the carriages beginning to close once more.
Through a translucent window that looked like glass, there sat a pair of eyes inside the head of the Silver Train, eyes flashing with cold light, staring intently through the window at the black-cloaked figure standing on a building holding the giant sword of dark gleams below.
The rage in those eyes was utterly undisguised. If his Silver Armored Giants had been killed by his rival Dark Humanoids, "he" would not be overly angry or affected, as casualties are to be expected in war. But now, having so many of his subjects slain abruptly by an unknown human, an insignificant ant, was a severe provocation and challenge to "his" authority.
"Foolish ants who dare offend the heavenly might, you will soon understand that the crime of offending us requires your life as compensation," "he" sitting at the front of the Silver Train meditated with a silent sneer. The battle that had just occurred in the sky hadn’t spurred him to action because he couldn’t fathom the depth and strength of the figure in black below, and "he," always cautious to preserve his own feathers, would not take the risk without absolute certainty.
However, just because "he" didn’t dare to act didn’t mean that the power behind him wouldn’t. In his eyes, the figure in black standing atop the building, with the giant sword of dark gleams pointing at the long sky and shouting furiously at them, was already a dead man.
