Chapter 783: Chapter 597: Deities of the Previous Era_1

The mysterious lady, suspended in the void, extended her delicate hand and gently pressed down on the slightly askew sun hat on her head. Her beautiful eyes finally rested upon Su Yu on the ground.

Originally, she had only noticed Qin Jiagui, the Giant God, and the Hundred-eyed Demon God. She even thought the Giant God was summoned by Qin Jiagui to accompany him. It wasn’t until just a moment ago, when she suddenly lost control over her second Ghost Deity, that she realized Su Yu was behind it, and her gaze settled on him for the first time.

Upon seeing Su Yu, she quickly recalled the day on the Silver Train, when two reckless newcomers who had just left the Bronze Tower offended her. In truth, she hadn’t been angry or bothered by Qin Jiagui and Su Yu’s impudent actions at the time, and at her behest, they received only light punishment—a sentence of half a month’s detention.

Regrettably, she didn’t realize how severely the newcomers with lower power were oppressed within the Sky Prison, which then led to this nearly uncontrollable chaos. She had inspected Sky Prison twice before and thought its management was very strict, completely unaware of its dark inner workings.

Had it not been for her decision that day, the punishment Su Yu and Qin Jiagui were to face would have been far more severe than just half a month of imprisonment. To her, she had shown mercy to Su Yu and Qin Jiagui, and now that she discovered the two of them were behind this horrifying catastrophe, her anger was especially intense.

"If only I had listened to Weike at the time and sent them to the Demon Prison, none of this turmoil would have happened today," she thought to herself as her slender hand held down her sun hat. Weike, his body filled with a strong current, pushed back against it, floating beside her, a picture of unwavering loyalty.

The second Ghost Deity, disrupted by Su Yu’s Giant Will, lost control briefly. It released Qin Jiagui, and at the same moment, Su Yu summoned the Giant God. But as soon as it saw the four Ghost Deities, it vanished once again. Meanwhile, a consciousness responded to Su Yu, "Strongest... Ghost Deity... I... cannot... attack..."

Su Yu felt an urge to cry but no tears came, and the lady in the sky had already removed her hand from her sun hat and pointed towards Su Yu. Under her volition, the four Ghost Deities pounced towards Qin Jiagui and Su Yu.

Su Yu had wanted to summon the Giant God to escape with them, but his hope was dashed. Seeing two massive Ghost Deities lunging towards him, he had no choice but to retreat repeatedly. Although he was much stronger now, he knew he was no match for these Ghost Deities, equivalent to the Giant God, and stood no chance against them.

Stepping on the "Endless Sky Soaring," Su Yu could no longer care for Qin Jiagui; he mustered all his strength and began to flee.

The two Ghost Deities behind him, towering two hundred meters, could traverse a hundred meters in a single stride. They were much faster than Su Yu. While his "Endless Sky Soaring" was impressively quick, he had barely covered a hundred meters when a fierce wind bore down from above. Su Yu looked up in horror, just in time to see a ghastly claw-like foot descending right towards him.

One of the Ghost Deities stomped down, landing right where Su Yu was standing. Faced with these two Ghost Deities, Su Yu was like an ant caught in the palm of their hands. How could he possibly escape?

Seeing no way to dodge, Su Yu let out a roar and, with all his might, slammed his hands into the ground.

With a thunderous boom, the foot crashed down on Su Yu. However, a moment earlier, he had shattered the ground beneath his feet and plunged into the earth, using it to absorb some of the impact he was about to endure.

A muffled grunt sounded as the ground broke apart, and Su Yu spat out a mouthful of blood, compressed deep into the earth. Fortunately, with the ground’s cushioning, although he was bleeding and injured, he was not flattened into a pulp. Otherwise, being crushed like this would likely have instantaneously burst him into a mass.

After stomping Su Yu into the ground, the Ghost Deity didn’t lift its foot but instead pressed down even harder, shaking it over the spot where Su Yu lay trapped. Clearly, it intended to crush Su Yu to death with a single stomp.

As the ground continued to crumble, Su Yu circulated the "Bronze Blood" within his body. Unable to resist the giant pressing foot above, he had no choice but to keep smashing deeper into the earth, drilling towards deeper layers to evade the terrifying pressure of the Ghost Deity’s foot.

Meanwhile, the first and second Ghost Deities charged at Qin Jiagui. Unlike Su Yu who chose to flee, Qin Jiagui confronted the two Ghost Deities head-on. As if ignorant of fear, he raised his hands to face them. Unfortunately, against the might of these Ghost Deities, Qin Jiagui was instantly caught in the palm of the first Ghost Deity and crushed with a fierce grip. Blood seeped from all his orifices, and in an instant, he exploded into a mass of flesh.

Qin Jiagui let out a piercing scream, and before he could even form a thought, he burst into a bloody mess and was licked up and devoured by the tongue of the first Ghost Deity.

The eruption of the mysterious Seed Power led to the destruction of Sky Prison and the killing of countless people, including Qin Jiagui, who vanished completely, devoured by the first Ghost Deity, disappearing without a trace.

The first Ghost Deity, licking its lips, let out a satisfied roar; clearly, the flavor of Qin Jiagui’s strong flesh and blood was incredibly delicious.

The lady in the floating sky above watched as Qin Jiagui was crushed and devoured, letting out a gentle sigh. She then pressed down on her sun hat and observed the chaotic scene that was once Sky Prison, feeling indifferent, without any sense of triumph.

It was just that these two newcomers who had charged out of the Bronze Tower caused upheaval in Sky Prison and even forced her to use the power of the Ghost Deities, which she found quite uninteresting.

"Weike, I’m going back first. Write up a report about this incident and submit it. As for who should bear the responsibility, let them take it." The lady said lazily. While Weike was about to respond with a slight bow, the lady suddenly gasped, turning around once more to look at the first Ghost Deity below.

The first Ghost Deity, which had just devoured Qin Jiagui until he burst into a pulp of blood, suddenly saw its belly expanding uncontrollably and in an instant, swelled up like a giant balloon. The creature let out a piercing roar and as it looked down at its belly, a blinding red light shot out, followed by a thunderous "boom" as its stomach exploded, scattering flesh and blood all over the sky.

"What?" The lady in the sky was shocked beyond belief as she saw the belly of the first Ghost Deity torn open by a massive gaping hole. From the blood hole, a figure was crawling out.

This figure was none other than the blood-soaked Qin Jiagui, naked, and now appearing even larger, standing over six meters tall. Then, with a "sizzling" sound, a vast blood wing unfolded once more, rising high on the left side of his back.

With a sudden howl, Qin Jiagui raised his head to the sky, a dazzling red light shining from his brow. The number "7" initially beaming from his forehead continually transformed until it finally ended up showing the symbol "77."

"Is this—" Weike was extremely shocked and blurted out in horror, "Could this guy have an Immortal god slumbering inside him?"

The mysterious lady watched as her summoned first Ghost Deity had its belly blown open, and the enlarged Qin Jiagui emerged, stretching out his hands to lift the two-hundred-meter-tall body of the first Ghost Deity into the air. With his one wing beating, he soared up to the heavens and then violently threw the Ghost Deity away.

His strength astounded the world, unmatched by any, as even the third and fourth Ghost Deities stopped trampling the ground, turning their heads to watch Qin Jiagui. They saw this tiny human lifting their kin, the first Ghost Deity, into the air and tossing it far away.

In the middle of thunderous, earth-shaking booms, the body of the first Ghost Deity was hurled who knows where, followed by more colossal booms and the raging roars of the thrown Ghost Deity as it rocketed skyward, only to crash down mightily once more.

With a "bang" that echoed, the floating island shook as the first Ghost Deity descended once again. The other three great Ghost Deities began to move, instantly surrounding Qin Jiagui at the center and opening their mouths to unleash a tide of energy.

With the four Ghost Deities combining their powers, instantly a black energy tide transformed into a dark cloud, enveloping Qin Jiagui.

The dual "7" digits in the center of Qin Jiagui’s brow kept radiating dazzling light, and his lone wing behind him beat furiously as if desperately trying to counterattack. But, the combined energy tides of the four Ghost Deities were terrifyingly powerful, enough to rival a god. They overpowered Qin Jiagui, forcing his once proudly raised blood wing to gradually contract and twist.

The mysterious lady in the sky, staring intently at Qin Jiagui below, murmured, "So it turns out... this is why... why this guy is so strong... He must have... a god from the previous era... within him... Weike, once this guy matures, he might become another Immortal. But, something seems off with just one wing... it’s not quite right."

Weike nodded and said, "With that one wing missing, he will never achieve perfect Immortality. However, he’s still terrifying... a god from the previous era..."

"Hmph, even if it is a god, so what? Whether it’s a has-been god from the previous era or a present-day god descending, they won’t save them today—" The mysterious lady sneered and suddenly shouted, "Ghost Deities, destroy the enemy, obliterate him for me—"
