Chapter 766: Chapter 586: Judging the Sinners
Even though Su Yu and the Nine Pillar Gods of the Mayans had a half-year agreement, both parties were essentially mortal enemies. Yet the events that took place in the Black Iron World weren’t exactly the proudest moments for the Nine Pillar Gods of the Mayans. Of course, they wouldn’t publicize it, and they would even strictly forbid others from spreading the word. Thus, it was quite normal that these Mayans, who were considered insignificant compared to the Nine Pillar Gods of the Mayans, had not heard of Su Yu and his half-year agreement with them.
Ada gave a bitter, inward smile, never expecting that Yano would be part of the Maya Clan. It was such a coincidence. In reality, he should have guessed it the moment he laid eyes on Yano’s short stature.
Yano had no idea what Ada was thinking and quickly stepped forward, saying, "I know; don’t worry—there must be a solution." He bowed humbly before the middle-aged man with a mustache and pleaded, "Sir, this time, you must help us. The two who were just arrested are my friends. This time, they were the ones who helped me come out of the Bronze Tower alive."
The middle-aged man with a mustache showed some interest when he heard this, saying, "They helped you? Aren’t they just two Seventh Order Bronze Warriors? How could they possibly help you?"
Yano hurriedly replied, "Yes, they may only be Seventh Order Bronze Warriors, but Su Yu’s power is immeasurable. He has the unique ability of adept fluidisation, which makes him thousands of times more powerful than his peers. Even I was surprised when he was so easily caught today."
"Able to fluidise his whole body?" This bit of news about Su Yu made even the Mayans, who didn’t really care about their capture, shocked.
"Is that true? How is that even possible?" gasped the middle-aged man with the mustache. "According to legend, only that immortal from Aztec has the ability to fluidise his whole body. Yano, if what you’re saying is true, and this Su Yu can fluidise his entire body..." he trailed off, his face hardening with concern.
Yano nodded assuredly, "That’s why he could break out of the Bronze Tower with the strength of a Sixth Order Bronze Warrior. I was also able to come to this world with his help. Please, you must find a way to save them."
The middle-aged man with a mustache rubbed his beard, deep in thought, "The ’miss’ just now said that everything should be left for the seniors to deal with. We can’t do anything even if we wanted to. But don’t worry; since they have to leave it for the seniors, I don’t think they’ve caused any casualties. It’s just a minor offense. They wouldn’t get a heavy punishment. For now, rest here. I’ll get someone to find out more. Remember, do not act impulsively and try to save your friends with your current strength. If anything were to escalate, it would be irreversible, and no one would be able to save you."
As he finished speaking, he addressed Ziye and Yano with a stern look. Ziye couldn’t help but ask, "Who are these people? The Silver Train seems to be with them, isn’t it?"
Even Ziye, who hardly understood anything, could vaguely guess that the power behind these people is immense, considering their association with the Silver Train. Ada clearly also realized this, so unless it’s absolutely necessary, she didn’t want to act recklessly and was planning another solution.
When Yano heard Ziye’s question, he took a deep breath and calmly said, "They represent the order of this world. They are the Custodians of this order. Everyone has to abide by this order. Remember, do not defy the order."
Yano was surprised, "Isn’t this similar to the rules of the Black Iron World? Everything has to operate under these rules."
The middle-aged man with a mustache chuckled, "You don’t need to worry too much. I believe your friends will be released soon unless there are other unforeseen circumstances."
At this moment, Su Yu and Qin Jiagui, with their hands and feet shackled by the extremely heavy silver chains, were being dragged like dead dogs into the archway. They were taken down a long corridor, at the end of which were rows of huge silver cages forged from a silvery metal. The cages housed many towering silver crosses around a person’s height. Su Yu and Qin Jiagui were dragged into the silver cages, their shackles were snapped onto the cross with a ’clink’, and in a matter of moments, they were crucified on two enormous silver crosses, struggling to break free.
After chaining them to the crosses, their captors left without a word and locked the silver cage.
Qin Jiagui, who was screaming the entire time, wound up with a silver object that looked like a cork shoved into his mouth, and he could no longer make a sound.
Su Yu kept a calm demeanor, remaining silent and thus saved from being stuffed into this silver bottleneck.
After being locked on the cross, he waited until everyone had left. Su Yu then shifted slightly to see within these rows of towering silver cages, crosses filled with people. There were men and women, old and young. Some, like Qin Jiagui, had silver corks stuffed into their mouths. Many others, however, showed expressions of despair, staying silent with their heads down. Upon the arrival of Su Yu and Qin Jiagui, many lifted their heads to glance at them before quickly returning to their own thoughts. A few were restlessly struggling, their silver cuffs making a tinkling noise, but it was of no use.
Su Yu had been observing the whole time, taking in the sight of people locked within these gargantuan silver cages. Among them, many were powerfully emanating a terrifying aura. Even his "Sacred Eye" was unable to capture their data. From his perspective, many were of a higher order than him, even exceeding the category of Bronze Warriors.
Such powerful individuals were all locked up here. No matter the reason or the fear they faced, they were, indeed, imprisoned here. As Su Yu realized this, he increasingly grasped the immense strength of these individuals wielding silver chains. It was truly terrifying. Ada’s warning to not summon the Giant Gods for rebellion started to make sense. If the protectors of these prisoners had backers as powerful as the Nine Pillar Gods of Maya, summoning any Giant Gods would not aid them in any manner. Besides, the golden skull wouldn’t assist him now. It would be unwise to act recklessly before his strength could instill fear in others. The more he observed, the more he nodded in agreement. He made the right decision by not summoning the Giant Gods arbitrarily which could have caused casualties. Now, all he needed to do was to play it cool and wait for the next move.
Compared to the struggling Qin Jiagui, Su Yu appeared calm. He still had the trump card of the Demon Divine Beast, the Giant Gods. He was not driven into a corner just yet, hence, though he was locked onto the silver cross, he remained composed.
Since their imprisonment, no one paid them any attention. But on the second day, when Su Yu started to lose patience, finally, eight men in moon-colored robes and silver hats unlocked the silver cuffs from the cross. Qin Jiagui ceased his struggles. As one of the men looked at him, he chuckled, "Had enough yet? If you behave, I can remove the gag from your mouth."
Qin Jiagui quickly nodded, making a whining noise.
Consequently, the man took off the silver gag from his mouth. Qin Jiagui took in a deep breath. He had been unable to spit out the gag for a whole day, the discomfort was unspeakable. After the gag was removed, he felt his cheeks numb and stiff.
"Where...where are you taking us...?" With the gag removed, Qin Jiagui maneuvered his jaw which had remained open all day, asked with difficulty, and then added: "I am done protesting, don’t put the gag back in."
The man who removed his gag blandly replied, "You will see when we reach." Then the group of eight men escorted them out.
Su Yu maintained his calm throughout. He knew that Ada must have her reasons for telling him not to resist. For now, it was best to remain patient and watch.
These eight men escorted them down a long corridor and soon they reached a large rectangular hall. A monumental silver desk, over ten meters tall, stood in the middle of the hall. Above the desk lay three giant silver chairs. At present, three individuals occupied the chairs.
All three were dressed in luxurious silvery gowns. The middle one was an old man with a long white beard, to his left, a man with a wooden face and no expression, and to his right, a middle-aged woman with a gentle demeanor and a motherly face.
The old man in the middle, the emotionless-looking man on the left, and the gentle, middle-aged woman on the right, all six eyes, from high up, watched Su Yu and Qin Jiagui as they were brought in by the group of eight. The gaze of these eyes, coupled with their expressions, gave Su Yu and Qin Jiagui an indescribable sense of unease.
"Where are we?" Qin Jiagui couldn’t stay calm like Su Yu. Seeing the gigantic hall, almost twenty meters high, and the three individuals sitting on the silver chairs high above with stern looks on their faces, he couldn’t help but ask.
"This is the Judgment Hall, designed specifically for punishing criminals like you. I am the judge here." The bearded elder in the middle, holding a small silver hammer in his hand, banged it out of the blue making a solemn noise. (To be Continued, For more Chapters, please visit www.qidian.com.
