Chapter 742: Chapter 568: The Arrival of the Six Unification Emperor Coffin
The Frog-headed monster trembled its dual arms, and a shrill shriek came from its mouth. Suddenly, the Bronze Serpents snapped, and with a collision, Ma Ziye was thrown off, shouting in horror.
Falling from a height of ten meters, Ma Ziye swung her hand in surprise, sending out a Bronze Serpent that tangled with a vine, barely halting her fall. If she had fallen from here, a hundred-meter plummet awaited her, and lacking the power to glide, Ma Ziye would have certainly ended in a pulp.
Having launched Ma Ziye, the Frog-headed monster took two steps before abruptly stopping in front of the white human-shaped giant cocoon woven by Su Yu.
The white cocoon caught its attention. Ma Ziye, who’d been just thrown off, saw this from afar and cried out, "Don’t you dare touch him—", she used her strength to return to the vine, and was about to rush towards the cocoon to protect it, when Ada abruptly retreated some steps and warned, "Stay away!"
Ma Ziye paused. She noticed that the Frog-headed monster stood frozen in front of the cocoon with a dazed expression, as if stupefied. Ada also retreated a far distance, as if he had seen something terrifying, and warned once more, "No one should approach this cocoon."
At that moment, the Frog-headed monster collapsed silently on the spot, with no sign of life.
The sudden turn of events left Qin Jiagui, Yano, and Ma Ziye dumbfounded, awestruck by the unsolvable mystery before them.
Ada said to Ma Ziye, "Don’t get close. Use the serpents you’ve summoned to bring that creature here," Ada pointed towards the Frog-headed monster that had just collapsed.
Ma Ziye followed Ada’s command without fully understanding his motive, given the bizarre situation. She summoned a Bronze Serpent, wrapped it around the monster, and dragged it over.
Ada leapt onto the body of the Frog-headed monster. Ma Ziye and the rest observed that it had lost all signs of life.
Ada stared at the creature with a solemn expression. After a while, he sighed softly and said, "Indeed, this monster has become an empty shell, everything within it has been devoured."
Ada’s remark sent chills running down everyone’s spines.
"Ada, what on earth is going on?" Qin Jiagui couldn’t help demanding.
Ada spoke in a deep voice, "Just now, for some reason, the cocoon Su Yu formed released a terrifying devouring power. Anything alive that came near it would be devoured, including their souls. The insides of this Frog-headed monster were devoured, leaving nothing but an empty shell. So I told you all to keep clear."
Just as Ada finished, he abruptly blanched and retreated. Qin Jiagui, Ma Ziye, and Yano also sensed the shift and quickly pulled back. Su Yu’s cocoon was beginning to emit a strange aura, a blend of multiple bizarre energies that progressively intensified. This ominous power was growing ever more evident. Above the cocoon, a terrifying vortex was slowly taking shape.
"Su Yu—", Ada cried out in vain, hoping to awaken Su Yu within the cocoon, but to no avail. Ada had been trying to contact Su Yu’s soul since the beginning, but received no response.
"What on earth is happening to Su Yu..." Ma Ziye murmured, her face pale. The terrifying aura emanating from the cocoon was becoming increasingly ominous and evil, to the point where even she dared not approach it.
"How can this be?" Ada muttered, "What was that world the Wooden Puppet took us to, and what sort of existence resides within that cocoon...this feels so evil and terrifying..."
Ada murmured to himself, displaying a nervous expression. At this moment, the aura released from Su Yu’s cocoon began to mold into six serpentine streams. The white cocoon continued to expand, and the serpent-like aura began to solidify. Surrounding the giant cocoon, it continued to grow and eventually formed a gigantic stomach, with the six streams transforming into heads resembling mythical dragons before sprouting legs and a tail.
Ada, Qin Jiagui, and Ma Ziye gaped in astonishment as they watched the blending of the white cocoon and the six streams of aura which gradually combined to form a fearsome dragon with six enormous heads.
"Su Yu?" Ada couldn’t help but call out to him again in her soul, but she was blocked by an incomprehensible Giant Will, preventing her from sensing Su Yu. However, the six-headed dragon suddenly burst into a strange androgynous laughter, a laughter that belonged to Su Yu.
"Su Yu, is that you? What happened to you?" Upon hearing Su Yu’s voice from the dragon’s mouth, Ma Ziye quickly moved forward, only to be sternly warned by Ada, "Don’t, don’t get close!"
Ada had the faint impression that everything she was witnessing was the manifestation of the Giant Will. But why did it take the form of a six-headed dragon? Could it be that when Su Yu entered the cocoon that day, he was reincarnated as the offspring of an ancient dragon? However, when she thought about it, it didn’t seem so. Ada clearly remembered that when Su Yu was born, a universe had appeared. Its scale and grandeur were probably unsurpassable even for the legendary Divine Dragon.
Ada was confused, so of course Ma Ziye, Qin Jiagui, and the others were even more bewildered. All they could do was gape in astonishment at the situation that had unfolded before their eyes.
The sound that the six-headed dragon spat out was identical to Su Yu’s voice. However, it had a strange pitch and was filled with a sense of deceit and cunning.
"Qin Jiagui, Ma Ziye...all you guys..." The dragon suddenly called out their names from its mouth, causing Qin Jiagui to look doubtful. "Are you Su Yu? Are you really Su Yu?"
Ada was also stumped; she had never expected that not only did this dragon have the same voice as Su Yu, but it also recognized Qin Jiagui and the others.
"Hmph...all you useless nothings. I’ve been protecting you all this time...you’re just a bunch of trash...Long ago, I wanted to kill you myself...Hm...hm hm...No, killing you would be too boring. I should...let you all fall into a deep sleep, and sleep until the end of world..." The six-headed dragon, emitting Su Yu’s taunting laughter, made Ma Ziye’s face drastically change. The monster, which looked like six dragons fused together, started to open its mouths. Each mouth started creating a huge vortex. As the intensity of the vortexes increased, Qin Jiagui and Ma Ziye, and even Ada, didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, the monster roared up to the sky, "Imperial Coffin, come forth—"
As it called, slowly from the six vortexes it had spat out, six identical massive stone coffins started emerging.
Seeing these coffins appear, Ada’s eyes widened alongside Ma Ziye and the others—they all remembered the stone coffin that the wooden man had always carried on his back.
But, how could six identical Imperial Coffins be spat from the mouths of these six dragons? What on earth was going on here?
Ada was also amazed and mumbled, "What on earth is going on? The wooden figure was torn apart by the five dragons, their parts sealed together in the Six Unification Emperor Coffin. How now, carrying the giant cocoon belonging to Su Yu’s reincarnation, can they... somehow summon the Imperial Coffin...? What is that wooden figure actually planning? What exactly is that giant cocoon..."
Amid her shock, Ada seemed to catch a glimpse of some connection, but before she was able to contemplate anything further, the six-headed dragon was already laughing strangely. "All you trash and scum, sleep in this coffin forever. Sleep forever in this world. ’Til we meet again." While laughing madly and waving its claws, suddenly the Six Unification Emperor Coffins "clattered" heavily to the ground, lined up in a row.
The monster pointed at Qin Jiagui while sneering, "You are worthless with mediocre talent. You’re always on the verge of death for a woman. You are completely incompetent and weak. You’re just wasting resources by being alive. This first coffin is for you—" Suddenly, it pointed at Qin Jiagui with its claw and to his horror, he was immediately bound by a terrifying force, unable to move. The monster cackled and pointed at one of the coffins. Suddenly, the coffin lid was lifted and as it flipped over in mid-air, it settled right above Qin Jiagui.
Qin Jiagui instinctively felt an unparalleled crisis and understood that once he was truly trapped in this coffin, he was destined to be confined for life, forced to sleep in this stone coffin until the world ended.
"Ni Ping — I haven’t seen Ni Ping yet, so how can I be trapped in this stone coffin?" Qin Jiagui roared. The terrifying oppression finally stimulated the Seed Power in his body. A number "7" faintly emerged in the middle of his brows, and flames started erupting from his body. The flames stretched behind him, gradually forming a wing of fire on his back.
The roaring wind was accompanied by the rising wing of fire. The look in Qin Jiagui’s eyes started to lose his sense of self. The "7" on his forehead became clearer. Suddenly, he raised his hand, his voice booming as he declared, "Impudent!" In an instant, flames covered the sky. Columns of fire, like massive fire dragons, began to strangle the six-headed monster.
The descending coffin was blocked in mid-air by the powerful wing on his back. (To be continued, for more Chapters, please visit www.qidian.com. Support the author and read the original!)
