Chapter 673: Chapter 516: Ning Yan and the Elderly Man

Arriving at the "Land of the Aztec Ruins," having heard from Lei Leian that immortals were once born here, Su Yu was deeply affected. He instinctively felt an ancient aura pervading the area. Soon after, the will within him began to experience a unique fluctuation. As if guided by an unseen consciousness, he felt drawn towards a certain direction.

"Follow me!" Before Su Yu could ponder on his feelings, he quickly instructed Lei Leian and the Wooden Man, then, guided by the will within, he sprinted into the "Land of the Aztec Ruins."

The so-called "Land of the Aztec Ruins" was essentially filled with weathered rocks, collapsed stone walls, fragments of destroyed structures that were still visible, where scattered segments of giant stone pillars and foundations of temple-like structures could be occasionally seen. The degree of destruction was such that in a few more years, everything might completely disappear.

This place, although referred to by the Aztec clan as the "White Tiger Giant City," was almost untouched, despite it once being the immortals’ holy place of the entire Aztec Clan.

Lei Leian and the Wooden Man, unaware of Su Yu’s discovery, followed him as he rushed ahead. Lei Leian mumbled, "This place was once known as the site of immortality, but... to think it would have fallen into such a state. What immortality, I believe nothing in this world is truly eternal."

The Wooden Man carried a massive stone coffin on his back, following them from behind. He mildly chuckled in response to Lei Leian, whispering, "The so-called immortality might just be relative... absolute immortality..."

Guided by the internal will, Su Yu navigated through the fallen fragments, speeding on with a grim look on his face. The deeper he went, the area seemed to fill with a primal, ancient aura. The air was thick and deep, enough to suppress and smother anyone with lesser strength. It was due to this reason that the "Land of the Aztec Ruins" became increasingly desolate, filled with ruined walls and hardly any signs of life.

Above the land of Aztec Ruins, the sky was enveloped in clouds, obsuring the entire sky. Su Yu, guided by the indomitable will, ran deeper into the ruins, soon he stopped—staring blankly at the black clouds in the sky.

"Su Yu, what’s wrong? Did you find something?" Lei Leian was out of breath from trying to keep up with Su Yu’s swift pace. Once she finally caught up, she saw him standing there, staring at the sky in a daze. Needing some clarification, she had to ask.

Looking up at the black clouds that covered the sky, Su Yu finally managed a bitter smile before shaking his head. "There’s a will within me that has guided me this far... But, the destination is apparently up there... Above those black clouds."

As he said this, he let out a bitter laugh. He wasn’t a golden eagle-headed man or one of those Maya pillar gods; he couldn’t fly to the black clouds, let alone reach the place that the will was guiding him towards. Even Ada could only glide a bit and couldn’t really fly.

Hearing Su Yu’s words, Lei Leian was taken aback, then she replied, "What’s above those black clouds? But we can’t reach there now, unless we go back to the ’Sky Main City’ and find our flying device. But if we take that trip, we’ll waste a lot of time."

Shaking his head, Su Yu wistfully responded, "Let’s just leave it at that for now. We should start searching this place for any clues related to the rest of the Wooden Man’s body."

Catching up from behind, the Wooden Man, carrying a stone coffin, wiped the sweat off his face before asking, "Su Yu, why were you running like that? Did you find any clues?"

Just as Su Yu was about to reply, both he and the Wooden Man turned their heads toward the distance. They had picked up on a peculiar sound.

The sound left them in awe, and Ada pointed it out, "There’s some activity over there."

Lei Leian looked at them, puzzled as she hadn’t sensed anything.

Su Yu and the Wooden Man looked at each other, nodded, and then began to sprint towards the direction of the sound.

The "Land of the Aztec Ruins" was vast and desolate. It was almost impossible to find any clues here, so when they perceived something unusual in the distance, they naturally had to check it out.

The louder the noises became as they rushed forward. Eventually, even Lei Leian could hear that it was undoubtedly the sound of a fierce battle.

Yet, in these Aztec ruins, barren of life, how could there be people fighting? Moreover, the clash seemed massive, as if the combatants were no ordinary fighters.

As they got closer, they felt a cloud of dust rising in the distance, forming a vast vortex. Within this vortex, three figures kept impacting each other with terrifying intensity, an intensity that even an average Eighth Stage Black Iron Warrior could not produce.

This ruin appeared to be quite intact. Massive cylindrical pillars of varying heights could be seen everywhere. Some were as tall as ten meters, twenty meters, or five or six meters. They towered among the ruined walls. Besides, half a shrine-like building had been left behind. This building had largely collapsed, but from the remaining rubble, one could vaguely perceive its former grandeur. Unfortunately, all of this had been buried in the torrent of time.

The fastest runner, Su Yu, gradually slowed down to a halt. He stared at the three figures clashing inside the vortex of dust. To his surprise, two of the figures were teaming up against a humanoid creature. Yet, the pair didn’t seem to be gaining an advantage, they were instead slightly suppressed.

Just as Su Yu and his party arrived, the humanoid monster in the center swung its arm with a loud "boom". One of the figures let out a howl, its mouth spewing a jet of blood, before tumbling out. It instantly flew hundreds of meters backward, then landed with a "thud", collapsed a stone wall, and buried itself into the ground.

At this sight, Su Yu’s eyes narrowed. He could feel the immense and horrific power behind the monster’s punch.

The three fighters were undoubtedly among the most terrifying in this world, but the central humanoid monster was obviously an even stronger existence.

After the monster punched one of the figures away, the remaining figure shook and quickly fled a hundred meters away. Obviously, knowing he was at a disadvantage, he chose to withdraw. The creature in the center didn’t pursue further but slowly landed down. The whirlwind of dust dispersed, and the vast amount of dust that fell on the body of the figure in the center was blown away by an invisible force, preventing any dust from sticking to it.

The central monster stood there, about two and a half meters tall. Its face was half human-like, half monster-like, on the feminine side. Its body was covered in black plates, the joints interlaced with purple light as if demon runes covered its entire body. It had two black sharp horns on its head and radiated an indescribable scary demonic aura.

The other two figures were two old men with white hair. Their faces were flushed, looking at the monster in the center as if wanting to say something. But Su Yu, who had just arrived, was stunned when he saw the monster. He couldn’t help but yell out, "Ning Yan?"

The monster standing in the center, with purple demon runes flowing over its body, had a face full of demon runes, but still exuded an astonishing beauty. Human beauty combined with demonic evil formed a peculiar charm.

Since Ning Yan transformed into this "666" monster, Su Yu had seen her once in the Element Space. That time, Su Yu unintentionally participated in the first trial while chasing after Ning Yan. At that time, her transformation was extremely hideous. But now, after several months, Ning Yan’s mutation seemed less hideous, but she radiated a demonic aura. Standing there, she was like a devil that crawled out from hell, filled with brutality and a trace of stunning beauty, once again shocking Su Yu.

He could never have anticipated meeting Ning Yan here in the "Aztec Ruins". Moreover, despite fighting two old men single-handedly, she seemed to have the upper hand. The power those two elders demonstrated was not inferior to Yano’s power when Su Yu participated in the second trial.

Among the various strong individuals who participated in the trial, Yano was considered the strongest. His strength far surpassed everyone. However, at this moment, in the Aztec ruins, he saw two old men whose power did not seem inferior to Yano’s. These two old men teamed up but seemed to be still weaker than the mutated Ning Yan.

Su Yu was shocked, and couldn’t help yelling out, "Ning Yan?"

Lei Leian and the wooden man who were behind him sounded surprised. Lei Leian couldn’t help but call out, "Su Yu, do you know her?"

The humanoid monster in the center didn’t react to Su Yu’s call, she just slightly raised her head to look at the cloudy sky.

The old man who had been knocked hundreds of meters away by her got up slowly, his voice hoarse from distance, "You are worthy... you can do it..." His voice was filled with envy and he sighed slightly with a tone full of regret.
