Chapter 490: Chapter 381 Resisting Black Iron City (First Update)

He’d only taken a couple steps when he suddenly felt as if a steel hook was lodged in his back, hei body flying as if riding mist and cloud, before being forcefully thrown to the side. Rolling on the ground, he ended up next to Lika Xiya, who was sprawled out on the floor.

"You damned woman, you damned woman! It was all because of you and your demands that I went to the machines. All because of you did I provoke them. Bloody harlot, it’s all your fault--"

Suddenly, Zhang Jiandao rose in a fit of frenzy. His hands tightly gripped Lika Xiya’s frail throat, strangling her, his face twisted as if possessed.

Lika Xiya’s eyes widened as Zhang Jiandao’s manic grip on her throat caused them to bulge out. Her face grew more and more purple, fresh blood and saliva frothing from her mouth.

In the end, Lika Xiya’s gaze fragmented, darkness setting in as Zhang Jiandao strangled her to death in a fit of madness.

Su Yu stood in silence, waiting until Zhang Jiandao had killed Lika Xiya before slowly walking over.

Zhang Jiandao’s face filled with terror. He suddenly knelt in front of Su Yu, slamming his head onto the ground in desperation, sobbing out loud. "I was wrong, I know I was wrong. Spare me, spare me. Don’t... Don’t kill me..." sobbing and wailing, tears and snot streamed down his face. Soon, his forehead was a bloody mess from slamming it against the ground.

Su Yu watched him, suddenly losing his interest in killing him. Instead, he turned to Lei Rui, motioning to her to take care of him.

Originally gentle, Lei Rui’s face now filled with utter hatred as she stalked over.

Zhang Jiandao noticed Lei Rui and scrambled to kneel in front of her, pleading. "Miss, please spare me, please spare my life..."

Lei Rui looked at him, her face filled with resentment. Thinking of how Yu Feng was killed in front of her by Zhang Jiandao, this hatred was not something that could be forgiven by a few pleas.

Su Yu stood silently on the sideline, wary of Zhang Jiandao lashing out and injuring Lei Rui in his death throes. For such a villain as Zhang Jiandao, one must always remain vigilant.

Several hundred people in the perimeter watched in silence. Even the hundred members of the Zhang brothers’ faction were pale as could be, no one dared to step forward or even take a deep breath.

This young, scholar-like man surrounded by a group of level five warriors was someone Su Yu had met twice before. They had all taken part in the "Fire Element Space" mission. This young man was one of the leaders.

The young man was Jin Fuhua, the leader of Peach Blossom Town and one of the four masters of the area. He was also the most famous sixth-order powerhouse within the radius of a thousand miles.

The commotion here had finally reached his ears and so, he’d finally arrived with a group of his followers.

Looking at the bloody scene, Lika Xiya with her neck snapped, and the dead Zhang Jianfa, a flicker of surprise flashed in Jin Fuhua’s eyes.

"Su Yu." Jin Fuhua walked over, calling out Su Yu’s name.

Looking at him, Su Yu calmly asked, "You want to save his life?" pointing at Zhang Jiandao.

Jin Fuhua gave a small smile as he looked at Zhang Jiandao who was pleading on the ground. He shook his head and said, "I am aware of what caused this conflict. Zhang Jiandao has been acting tyrannically; he deserves this. You are doing the people a favor, Su Yu. Everyone is pleased."

Everything Jin Fuhua said was within Su Yu’s expectations, but Zhang Jiandao standing on the ground was dumbfounded. Utter despair welled up in his heart. In his despair, he fell into a mad scream, "Jin Fuhua, don’t be smug. Once the massive army of Black Iron City arrives, you’ll all be dead, ha-ha--"

Unexpectedly he lunged towards Lei Rui.

He had already noticed the people in front of him will never spare him. The only chance for survival was to take Lei Rui by surprise and threaten them with her life.

Su Yu, however, seemed to have anticipated this. He waved his hand, and with a ’swish’, he ripped off the hand that Zhang Jiandao had extended towards Lei Rui. Then he stomped down, and with a ’thud’, he kicked the leaping Zhang Jiandao back to the ground, breaking his right leg in the process.

With a face full of hatred, Lei Rui brought her hands together and smashed them onto Zhang Jiandao’s head.

There was a ’bang’, and Zhang Jiandao’s eyes suddenly bulged out. Then, fresh blood started to pour from the top of his head.

Su Yu frowned, but he noticed that at the last moment, Lei Rui had weakened the force of her hands. This blow had shattered Zhang Jiandao’s head, but it didn’t kill him.

Lei Rui suddenly collapsed, holding her face in her hands and crying, "What’s the point of killing him? The dead will never come back to life--"

Su Yu silently shook his head. Lei Rui was too kind-hearted. Looking at Zhang Jiandao still lying on the ground, Su Yu stepped forward, stepping on Zhang Jiandao’s chest with an echoing ’thump’. A terrifying force spread out, instantly crushing Zhang Jiandao’s chest into a pile of meat paste.

Zhang Jiandao, the originator of this heinous crime, eventually died on the spot.

Watching Su Yu’s way of killing, Jin Fuhua couldn’t help but nod. Su Yu was quick, decisive, and showed no mercy. Jin Fuhua then turned around and rebuked his men, directing them to disperse the gathered crowd.

There are four major powers in Peach Blossom Town, with the Zhang brother’s faction nearly wiped out. Jin Fuhua could now comfortably turn a blind eye, like the other powers, keeping the conflict away. Even if Black Iron City indeed supported Zhang brothers before, now that the Zhang brothers were gone, Jin Fuhua was safe, at least temporarily. However, Jin Fuhua saw further than that. He appeared at this moment, thus making his choice clear. Instead of waiting for Black Iron City to deal with Su Yu and then turn against him, he wished to join forces with Su Yu to resist Black Iron City.

Both Su Yu and Jin Fuhua were smart men. Some words didn’t need to be spoken too explicitly. With just a couple of phrases, they understood each other’s thoughts.

Su Yu appreciated Jin Fuhua’s decisiveness and determination that most people would find hard to express in such situations.

Su Yu didn’t waste any words and asked directly.

Ji Fuhua first acknowledged, then replied, "Peach Blossom Town has a complex flow of people and countless people coming in and out every day.
