Su Yu pulled Zhang Zhongmou aside a few steps and then lowered his hands, saying to the wolf dog, "We mean no harm, don’t be on edge. We didn’t come here to hurt your master."

Su Yu repeatedly gestured and softened his expression. It seemed as if the wolf dog understood human language, its aggressive demeanor slightly eased. Suddenly, Ada standing on Su Yu’s shoulder stood up and roared a few sentences in a language that the others didn’t understand.

The dog instantly became alert and barked back at Ada. Both of them seemed to be communicating in a language that none of the others understood. Su Yu and the others watched in awe. After a while, the fierce wolf dog’s raised tail drooped, and it retreated a few steps, no longer hostile.

"Ada, you can actually communicate with it?" Su Yu was astonished.

Ada lazily replied, "What’s so surprising about that? If we didn’t even have this ability, could we be called Category 5 Lifeforms, the ones closest to perfect life?"

"What did you say to it?"

"I told it that we are its friends and came here to save it, to help bury its master’s body. Humans, don’t they value having a proper burial? It seems like it agrees." Ada responded with a playful grin.

Zhang Zhongmou curiously interjected, "Yu, you seem very interested in this dog. Feeling bored in this world and fancy keeping a dog?"

Su Yu shook his head and replied, "No, I’m just curious. This dog...it has evolved too."

"What?" Zhang Zhongmou and the others were stunned. Su’s left hand revealed the Perception Eye and continued, "It killed two young Goblin Beasts, and has evolved into a Black Iron Warrior. Don’t you think it’s fascinating?"

Su Yu smiled while Zhang Zhongmou pulled his hair in frustration, "Damn, so you’re saying it’s a Black Iron Warrior dog now? This is so absurd that I don’t even know what to say."

Su Yu patted Ada and said, "If you can communicate with it, that’s good. Ask if it wants to follow me."

Ada gave a nod, jumped down, and approached the mutated dog. Both parties started barking at each other again.

After a while, Ada shook its head and looked at Su Yu, "Nope, it does not want to follow you."

Su Yu felt a bit disappointed, and then Ada continued, "It only wants to follow me."

Su Yu replied, "Since we promised it, we should bury the old gentleman."

Everyone started working together and quickly dug a hole in the bungalow to bury the elderly man’s body. The wolf dog whimpered, and everyone could hear the sorrow in its voice. It was evident that the dog had a deep emotional bond with its former owner.

Su Yu squatted to one side, watching the dog continually licking the old man’s face, letting out mournful whines. He couldn’t help but reach out to pat the dog. Then noticed two characters engraved on its collar, it read "Diudiu".

"So your name is Diudiu?" Su Yu looked at the dog before him, reminded of the pet dog named "Spots" that his older sister had. He wondered how his sister was doing now... A silent sigh was formed in his heart.

Zhang Zhongmou tossed the bodies of the two little Goblin Beasts outside into the heavy rain. They quickly sank into the knee-deep rainwater and disappeared from sight.

That night, they spent their time in this ordinary residential house. When a rustling sound woke Su Yu, he instantly stood up and moved to the window. Through it, Su Yu noticed the sky was brightening a bit, not so pitch-black anymore. In the torrential rain and darkness, heavy shadows were slowly approaching.

Small Goblin Beasts, a herd of them, had unknowingly surrounded this house. Just by judging the bleak black light flickering in their pairs of eyes in the darkness, Su Yu instantly realized that these Goblin Beasts had been parasitically controlled by the parasites of the Dark World.

Other than Su Yu, Diu Diu, their guard dog, also became alert and stood up, opening his mouth wide to reveal his sharp, menacing teeth.

Su Yu woke up Zhang Zhongmou, Ma Ziye, and the other six people. The group of seven people and a dog was now on alert inside the house, watching the large group of mutated Goblin Beasts that was steadily closing in.

Ada replied with a grunt and growled at Diu Diu a few times. Diu Diu responded with a couple of low whines, it was unclear whether it was agreeing or disagreeing with Su Yu’s suggestion.

Ignoring its reaction for the moment, Su Yu activated his "Lizard Beast Transformation" and his arms turned into "Lizard Arms". He yelled, "Charge!" and threw his body against the dirt wall in front of him.

With a loud "thump", just as this herd of mutated Goblin Beasts was about to reach the spot, a large section of the wall collapsed. Immediately, three of the beasts were crushed under the falling debris, while Su Yu had already dashed into the rain. He threw a "Landmine Devourer", detonating the powerful golden lightning. The massive net of golden lightning immediately devoured five of the mutated Goblin Beasts. Their bodies were trembling non-stop under the force of the 50,000-volt lightning, shrieking in pain.

"Get moving, don’t linger!" Su Yu bellowed lowly as Lin Shi lifted his right hand, the gun barrel continuously rotating and firing while advancing. Following his lead, Zhang Zhongmou, Ma Ziye, Meng Bo, and the others fled.

Dark shadows were stirring from all directions, and it was unclear just how many mutated Goblin Beasts were hidden in the darkness. To stay and fight would be an unwise decision.

Power from his internal lightning kept filling up two Mystic Treasure Rings as Su Yu continued to deploy "Landmine Devourer". Suddenly, he waved his hand, and the sound of an explosive "slap" echoed. A massive bolt of golden lightning slashed down. It was the "Wrath of Thunder" strike. Immediately, one of the Goblin Beasts shuddered, a foul burnt smell emitting from it as its body was thrown far away.

"Move!" Su Yu roared like a beast, charging out and sending two incoming mutated Goblin Beasts flying. Carrying Diu Diu, he had caught up with the rest. The group of seven humans and a dog dashed madly under the pouring rain, disappearing into the dark forest.

Behind them, the Goblin Beasts were stirring like a green wave chasing right after, but when it came to speed, these mutated creatures were undoubtedly slower than the group.

Although Diu Diu was only a Zero-Level Black Iron, it could run incredibly fast. Ten minutes later, the group of seven humans and a dog had finally managed to lose the Goblin Beasts that were chasing them.

Listening to the silence behind them, they finally stopped, gasping for breath.

Su Yu looked at Diu Diu and found its performance quite surprising. Just having undergone mutation, it could already keep up with the speed of Fourth Order Warriors like Lin Shi. It was rather astounding.

"Once you reach the fourth order, as long as you absorb enough energy, you can evolve. I wonder how powerful Diu Diu will be once it evolves to the fourth order?" pondered Su Yu. Two hours later, the sky finally started to brighten. Even though it was still overcast and rainy, they finally arrived at the Fourth Life Nest.

They didn’t encounter any more danger or mutated creatures along the way. It was unknown, though, what the situation was like inside the Fourth Life Nest, and whether it had been attacked by mutated creatures or parasites.

Lin Shi guided Su Yu and the others to quietly hide their presence in the heavy rain, observing the construction in front from a distance.

The location of the Fourth Life Nest was not because "chasm" and it collapsed into this Forest World. It was simply a makeshift building made of wood posts that people had built later in the forest. From those simple wood posts, one could see the mass graves piled up from distance and the faint dark fog that rose from there. Looking up into the sky, the dark vortex clouds became more apparent. At the center, it seemed like a black hole was about to rip the sky open, intensifying the dangers in this forest.

From a distance, one could see men and women in black and white clothing moving around inside these simple wood posts.
