Chapter 318: Chapter 256: The Battle of the Strong in the Sky
"Looking at these iron chains and the slanted ship cabin, Su Yu had a thought in his mind, and immediately brought out his Golden Claw, trying to grip one of those chains.
With a crisp ’creak’ sound, Su Yu felt a slight tenderness in his Golden Claw, but there wasn’t even a scratch on the iron chain, forcing him to shake his head and sigh.
Originally, he wanted to break all these iron chains. With the slant angle of the ship cabin, it wouldn’t have been easy for those guys to rush up. Unfortunately, he had no idea what materials these chains were made of, as even the Golden Claw couldn’t destroy them.
’Su Yu.’ From inside the ship cabin, Xiao Nan stuck out her face, calling out to him in some panic.
’Don’t be afraid, everything is fine. You hide in there.’ Su Yu opened one of the doors of the ship cabin, braced his feet against it, steadied his body, and below, the team from the west finally arrived first.
The team consisted of three members, the leader was a Sixth-order Powerhouse, and there were two Black Iron Warriors at the Fifth-order Peak. Together, they rode a black beast over five or six meters long to get here, and this black beast was naturally a Category 5 Lifeform.
Once they reached beneath the Dark Giant Ship, this Category 5 Lifeform contracted its body and jumped onto the shoulder of the Sixth-order Powerhouse.
All three of them had white turbans on their heads and looked somewhat weird. Su Yu thought of Indian Asan. They jumped under the Dark Giant Ship and looked up. When the Sixth-order Powerhouse opened his mouth and let out a series of shouts, Su Yu didn’t understand a word and turned to Ada, ’What is he saying?’
’By your human standards, this is called Hindi, an official language in your human
world’s India,’ Ada replied.
Surprised, Su Yu secretly thought, ’It can’t be this coincidental, right? Could these three actually be from the ’Hellhole’ of India?’
Before he had time to think more about it, the three people below started climbing the iron chains. The Sixth-order Powerhouse was a super fat guy, his body width wasn’t much smaller than his height, he had dark skin and a nose ring, his huge figure reminded Su Yu of the Bull Demon King.
Su Yu let them climb, not until they were about twenty meters off the ground did he grab onto the iron chain. His body radiated dazzling golden lightning.
The moment he made a move, it was a powerful 50,000-volt discharge. Immediately, the iron chains made a ’rattling’ sound, the three people were unprepared and grunted, their bodies shook uncontrollably. They opened their mouths and let out a shrill scream, and then they all fell together.
With a ’bang’, the super fat guy fell to the ground, causing a shocking noise and sending dirt and stones flying in all directions.
’Spit!’ This fat guy seemed very angry as he cursed a few times before opening his mouth and spat towards the ground.
The guy’s body was huge, and the spit he spat out was at least ten times the amount of ordinary people. This water on the ground immediately made a ’hissing’ sound, and a large hole was corroded in a large stone.
The three of them talked to each other for a few moments, and Ada introduced from above: ’They said this fat guy is Mosibaga. They’re discussing how to rush up...’
That big fat guy Mosibaga spat heavily towards the Dark Giant Ship again. The spit hit the ship’s hull, making a ’hissing’ sound and a cloud of smoke, but the hardness of the hull actually exceeded that of the rock. The gastric juice of Mosibaga, which was much more terrifying than aqua regia, had no effect on this Giant Ship.
The three of them lingered below for a while before the second team arrived quickly.
When Su Yu saw the second team, he immediately felt a chill in his heart.
The second team also contained three people, one Sixth-order Powerhouse and two Fifth-order warriors. The two Fifth-order warriors were not to be feared, but what made Su Yu’s heart tighten was the Sixth-order Powerhouse leading the team - it was the ice guy he had previously encountered.
Su Yu still vividly remembered the man’s horrifying technique ’Frozen Heaven and Earth,’ which instantly froze a space of tens of meters. He killed two Fifth-order Peak powerhouses in a single move. At that time, if Su Yu hadn’t had the Golden Blood, he would have been killed by him in a single move. Even Ada, a Category 5 Lifeform, was frozen by him in an instant. This ice guy, it can be said, is the most terrifying Sixth-order Powerhouse Su Yu has ever encountered.
Seeing the Ice Man appear again, Su Yu, instinctively, felt a tightening pain in his heart.
’Wang Hu...’ One of the two Fifth-order warriors who came with the Ice Man called out, intending to ask what the Ice Man intended to do. However, the Ice Man, Wang Hu, grinned, recognizing Su Yu, even more so when he saw Su Yu still on the Dark Giant Ship. Unable to help but laugh, he nonchalantly said, ’I said before, the next time I saw him, it would be his death. The words I, Wang Hu, have spoken, have never changed.’
Just as he was about to approach, Mosibaga stopped him, babbling incomprehensibly."
Ada on top laughed, saying, "This fat fella here, he says they got here first, so it is their turn to figure out how to get on board."
The Frozen Man, Wang Hu, below furrowed his brow and without a word, suddenly extended a hand and pushed the fat man, Mosibaga.
Mosibaga, seemingly fearless, opened his large mouth ready to spray corrosive stomach acid tenfold stronger than that of Wang Hu, when suddenly, crisp resounding "pops" reverberated, and layers of ice surfaced. Shock filled Mosibaga’s widened mouth, who was instantly frozen, even including the two Level Five members standing behind him, transforming all three into ice sculptures. A look of horrified astonishment was frozen on each of their faces, stuck in place, immobile.
Wang Hu, seemingly dismissive, froze the three of them, then leaped onto the Dark Giant Ship, grasping the iron ropes.
Su Yu had a sharp eye and immediately grabbed the iron rope, about to unleash his lightning power when suddenly, chunks of ice emitted from Wang Hu’s arms. Following this, layers of ice quickly spread out in all directions along the rope he was holding onto towards the Dark Giant Ship, crazily extending upwards.
Su Yu was taken aback, quickly retracting his hand. Less than half a second late, the iron rope he was just grasping was encased in ice.
Almost half the deck was frozen. Su Yu watched as the distance increased, at least forty meters away. It seemed like this was already the limit of the Frozen Man’s power. After freezing all the ropes, the Frozen Man stepped on the inclined ice layer and started to fly upwards with the lightness and agility of a swallow.
The icy layer, which should have been slippery in theory, became his easy-to-navigate platform due to his special power.
"Get in there," hollered Su Yu, seeing the situation was dire. Pushing Xiao Nan behind him, the two began to climb deeper into the tilting ship’s cabin. The climb itself was no easy task considering the angle of the slope.
As Su Yu climbed, he kicked the cabin doors shut behind him. Soon after, loud ’boom boom’ noises sounded from behind—they seemed to be bombarding the cabin door from the outside.
Although the hull of the Dark Giant Ship was extremely sturdy, it seemed Xingyu had cut corners on the inside of the cabin. Unlike the hull’s composition, much of the interior was only made from an ordinary wooden material. A loud ’boom’ echoed, and the wooden door outside was broken and blasted open.
Cursing under his breath, Su Yu wished Xingyu had made the ship’s cabin as robust as the hull. If that were the case, Su Yu could simply lock the door from the inside, and these Sixth-order Powerhouses probably wouldn’t be able to do so much as scratch the cabin’s surface, no matter how hard they attacked.
This was a fatal disaster caused by shoddy construction.
Feeling pressured, Su Yu saw Xiao Nan’s actions slowing down, so he grabbed her and displayed the Golden Claw. He ripped open a door then continuously leaped upwards. Behind him, booming sounds echoed increasingly closer.
Eventually, Su Yu, carrying Xiao Nan, traversed the cabin and arrived at the deck on the opposite side of the Dark Giant Ship. Currently, the Dark Giant Ship was slanting into the soil with the deck inclined, more than two hundred meters above the ground.
Su Yu put Xiao Nan on the flat side of the hull, caused by the ship’s tilt, "Stay here," he ordered. He then turned around to guard the cabin door. A continuous bombardment of "bam" sounds echoed from his body.
Inside the cabin, various explosive sounds charged toward them. Just a few seconds slower than Su Yu, a slew of white ice blocks ruptured through the cabin wall, like waves crashing upward. The wooden cabin wall, struck by the power of the ice, was as fragile as rotten wood, unable to withstand a single blow.
Frozen Man, Wang Hu, arrived.
Su Yu had nowhere to retreat, so with a fierce cry, he combined his Lightning Power and Golden Blood, and instantly cast "Landmine Devourer" upon himself. Within several meters of him, vast Lightning Power was crazily unleashed, producing a 50,000-volt discharge. This created the Golden Cocoon, which burst into a powerful explosion as it collided with the incoming frost.
Crackling and popping noises reverberated, and Su Yu roared, clenching his right hand into a fist to form the Golden Claw, and hammered down with full force.
A loud "boom", and the entire cabin was almost frozen by Wang Hu. As Su Yu hammered his fist down full of power, a dazzling golden light erupted, cracking the layers of ice with a chirping sound. Cracks appeared everywhere, and out from these fractures, Wang Hu broke out from the ice. His eyes full of cruelty and bloodlust, he brought his hands together to fiercely collide with Su Yu’s Golden Claw.
A crackling sound, Wang Hu grunted, and the terrifying power of the Golden Claw sent him crumbling back down into the cabin. Simultaneously, Su Yu grunted too, his Golden Claw instantly iced over. Soon, his entire body was encased in ice, turning him into a human ice sculpture.
Wang Hu fell down but swiftly charged back up again, letting out a deafening shriek, "Frozen Heaven and Earth--Crush!". He aimed to shatter the frozen Su Yu.
"Roar—" It was Su Yu that roared first. His Golden Claw emitted a dazzling light, crushing the ice encasing his body little by little. He stretched out his finger, an abundance of lightning stored on the "Thunder Ring" was released with the incantation "Wrath of Thunder".
