Chapter 303: Chapter 245: The Dark Giant Ship (Third Update) _2

"..." The radiant woman with a pair of stellar eyes remained expressionless. After a long while, she suddenly sighed lightly, "Looks like, this mission... is going to change..."

Her eyes, glittering like stars, once again landed on the ever-progressing scan, fixating on the colossal creature constantly breaking free from the ground. Then, she noticed a tiny speck on the side of this monstrous beast - an enlarged figure of Ada.

Seeing Ada enlarged, her eyes widened in apparent surprise, as if she had witnessed something shocking. The slight gasp, the dilated stellar gaze, and her slightly ajar cherry lips demonstrated a shock even more intense than the sight of the monstrous creature.

Attempting to use the external power from a battle with Zhou Bai, a sixth-order powerhouse, Su Yu aimed to unlock the "door" within his body and ascend to the "sixth-order" stratum. Unexpectedly, at the pivotal moment, the earth abruptly cracked. A monstrous, pitch-black figure emerged with a terrifying booming sound. With a single strike, Su Yu and Zhou Bai, frail as papier-mâché figures, coughed out blood and flew afar.

"Su Yu!" Cried Ada, panicking and beginning to enlarge, catching the tumbling Su Yu in mid-air. Zhou Bai, however, wasn’t as lucky. He fell into the deep abyss, born from the fissure in the ground, leaving behind a desperate scream. His fate remained uncertain.

Blood seeping from his mouth, Su Yu felt as if all the bones in his body were fractured. A casual brush from the monstrous creature exhibited horrifying power. No wonder the crust of the earth was cracked and shattered by its ferocious charge.

Desperate, Ada carried Su Yu in an attempt to flee reminiscent of a deranged pursuit. Beneath them, the earth crumbled, large boulders rolled about, exploding to the surface. The constant thunderous rumble felt like the sudden arrival of the apocalypse.

Booming, the monstrous object, resembling a giant ship, continued to emerge from the ground. Half of its hull was already visible, yet it struggled as it attempted to fully surface. An unknown fearful force seemed to be pulling the giant ship from the rear, making it difficult for it to break free.

The ship continued to shake violently. Giant chains connected to the ship swung wildly. Intent on escaping, Ada enlarged and fled. But a chain flew out from the shakes, and, by a cruel twist of fate, strafed Ada.

"Ah―-" Ada suddenly spewed out blood, tumbling away.

Shocked, Su Yu didn’t have the time to react before being thrown along with Ada to the ground.

"Ada, what happened? Isn’t it impossible for you to be harmed?" Su Yu cried out. He clearly remembered that Ada could not be harmed by powers stemming from lifeforms below Category 5. How come a mere chain strike could cause Ada to cough out blood? Could it be...the power contained within the chain... exceeded the power of Category 5 Lifeforms?

The realization came to Su Yu in an instant. The only possibility sent a chill down his spine, freezing his blood.

As the ground continually crumbled, Ada, severely wounded, was coughing out blood, being pulled into the unmeasurable and dark abyss created by the fissure. In this perilous situation, Su Yu growled, and his left arm shook violently, immediately causing five "Tooth Bursts" to fly out. Each "Tooth Burst" dragged along a streak of golden lightning.

The fluke he had thought of before came in handy. As he fell, Su Yu swung his arm and the five "Tooth Bursts," each dragging a streak of lightning, shot upwards. In an instant, they latched onto a chain from the constantly shaking massive ship. A low growl escaped his mouth as energy from the golden lightning was continuously transmitted.

Using the power of five streaks of lightning, Su Yu grabbed hold of Ada, suspending them in mid-air. With a swing of his body, they shot out diagonally, like a swing in a playground. His feet pushing against the ship’s hull, they propelled away with a ’whoosh’ sound, ascending dozens of meters like an arrowfish. He then extended his left arm, latching it onto a chain as thick as a human thigh, hanging by the ship.

At this moment, the ship continued to shake with the land below getting entirely destroyed. Looking down from Su Yu’s perspective, he saw nothing but a dark bottomless abyss. Falling in would mean being swallowed by the abyss to unknown fates. Even someone as strong as Su Yu felt an inexplicable fear at this moment, thinking about how to escape from this place.

Suddenly, the giant ship began to shake violently. It was like the roaring of a volcano. Almost at the same instant, the ship made a harsh noise, finally breaking free from the earth’s grasp and soaring into the sky.

Su Yu was alarmed, only feeling himself being thrown around vigorously. A moment later, he was slammed into the ship’s body. His body, covered in blood from his seven orifices, was bespeckled with scales that had shattered from the collision. Instinctively, he gripped the chain tightly as the whistle of the wind raged around him. This Dark Giant Ship had, incredibly, already soared into the sky, momentarily flying high above the clouds.

Ada lay unconscious, with life and death uncertain. Su Yu, clutching the chain, was carried by the giant ship high in the sky.

Beneath his feet, the height was terrifying; to fall would mean certain death. Cold sweat dampened Su Yu’s body, as he clung tightly to Ada and the chain. Finally, he felt the ship’s speed slow down; it seemed to be floating in the sky. Looking down, he could faintly see black clouds drifting below.

Once the Dark Giant Ship had stopped shaking and hovered mid-air, Su Yu began to slowly climb along the thick iron chain. Hanging in the open proved to be an uncomfortable experience even for him, being battered by the biting cold winds from all around.

Gritting his teeth, Su Yu stuffed Ada into the fur clothing on his chest. Then, alternately using his hands, and bracing his feet against the dark ship’s body, he continuously climbed. The ship was unimaginably vast. The length of the chain alone exceeded one hundred meters. Su Yu withstood the harsh winds blowing around him, while desperately trying to steady himself.

Finally, he reached the top of the chain, making his way to the railing of the ship. Just as he was about to haul himself up, suddenly, an immensely powerful gale stormed past. The chains all around the railing rattled loudly, with several of them being swung his way.

With a dull thud, Su Yu groaned. Most of the bones in his body shattered, struck by the chain. His strength drained out of him and he loosened his grip. Overwhelmed by despair, he found himself plunging through the air, falling straight down from the high altitudes.

The impact of such a fall would be fatal, no matter how tough one might be, completely shattering one’s body into pieces.

"Aah—" A desperate howl erupted from Su Yu.

Suddenly his right arm tightened as a powerful hand seized hold of him, extending from the railing of the ship. Despite the howling winds that whipped about his body, this hand held on to him as firmly as if it were made of iron, not budging in the slightest.

The startled Su Yu suddenly found himself being held by someone. He looked up, only to see a face peering over from the ship’s railing above.

It was the face of a young man, but the depths of his eyes seemed as though they had experienced eternities. A single glance seemed to penetrate one’s soul. Su Yu felt as if every inch of his body was exposed and seen through with just one look from those eyes.

This suddenly appearing man extended a hand, gripping Su Yu’s right arm and easily lifted him, throwing him casually onto the deck of the ship.

Su Yu landed with a soft groan. He rolled and fell onto the deck of the ship. With a resounding thud, he lay there, feeling as if all his strength had been drained. The blow from the chain had left him grievously injured. But at the same moment, he could feel the Gasification Mysterious Power inside him spontaneously start to move and begin the healing process.

The man’s unfathomable stare fixated on the downed Su Yu. Watching Su Yu’s body slowly heal, a slight smile finally surfaced on his face. It was a genuine smile of delight. (To be continued. For more, please visit www.qidian.com, where you can support the author and legal reading!)
