Chapter 1467: Chapter 1096: The Mastermind Behind the Scenes
"Ha, hahaha... How ridiculous and ironic..." The wooden puppet’s expression suddenly became strange: "But what I didn’t expect was... the Six-headed King, this most powerful and greatest Ancient Titan, actually... actually split a strand of his Giant Divine Will into a seed and planted it inside my soul... Heh, hehe, aren’t you curious why my Undying Spirit can be eternal and deathless? Because my Undying Spirit, is born from the fusion of the seed of the Giant Divine Will and the soul of a true god..."
Ada’s eyes widened in shock upon hearing this, exclaiming in disbelief, "What? How is this possible?"
Ada of course understood what would happen if the Six-headed King split a strand of his divine thought and planted it into the wooden puppet’s soul, and after it integrated.
"So that means, wooden... you... you wouldn’t be the same as becoming an avatar of that Six-headed King? How could this be, why would the Six-headed King do such a thing?"
"Yes, why would he do such a thing..." The wooden puppet suddenly touched its own head and then slightly lifted it up, its face revealing an indescribable eeriness, "Just because, all of this, everything, is orchestrated by the Six-headed King... Including the battles between the Ancient Gods and the Giant Gods, including the giant cocoon Su Yu threw himself into, including your birth, Ada... All of these, he’s the mastermind behind the scenes..."
Ada felt a bone-chilling coldness over his body. Next to him, Ma Ziye, as if realizing something, cried out loud, "Impossible, if the Six-headed King did all this, what exactly does he want to achieve?"
"It’s simple... he calculated all the Giants as well as us Ancient Gods, just to amalgamate the strength of nine Giant Gods into one... He wants to take the powers of other Giants, he wants to transcend everything..."
As the wooden puppet said this, Ma Ziye’s body trembled violently, and a piercing cold emerged from her spine. Immediately afterward, she shrieked, "Not good, Su Yu is in danger—"
At this moment, Su Yu, piloting "Noah’s Ark," was flying swiftly towards the original space infested with ancient insects, alongside a group of Ancient Gods or Demon Gods.
That continent was known as the Ancient Ruins, where all the technology of the Positive World originated from this place.
When Su Yu arrived here piloting "Noah’s Ark", the God of Death, Diyalisos, Ning Yan, Satan’s Domain, and other Demon Gods like the Ancient Buddha, Immortal Monarch and Emperor Alaiye, were closely following behind.
"Immortal Monarch, hand over all the ’remains of the Ancient Titans’, now the only way is to combine the power of all ’Ancient Titans’." The voice of Diyalisos echoed far and wide, the ancient insects clung tightly to the walls all around, and the robed figures respectfully stood to both sides.
The Immortal Monarch looked at Emperor Alaiye, who nodded at him, slightly saddened he said, "All our research has failed, to fight against the ’Void’, we are powerless now... now...we can only rely on these Giants."
The Immortal Monarch murmured, "I understand..." His figure flickered, dashing into the colossal instrument below, grand enough to rival the Cosmic Tree, and soon, these instruments began emitting a sharp and strange creaking sound.
With the creaking, the grand instrument began to disassemble from the top, like a flower gradually blooming. Eventually, the extremely grand instrument completely opened from the center. In here, Su Yu, the God of Death, the Ancient Buddha, and others, all involuntarily held their breath.
Inside lay five immensely large skeletons of Giant Gods, resting quietly. Among these bones, one had the upper body resembling a human but the lower half of a colossal dragon. Another was clearly discernible as female, while another set of bones bore uncanny resemblance to the Six-headed Dragon with the Giant Will that Su Yu possessed — boasting six dragon heads and a majestic, enormous body, it was the most colossal and robust amongst the five sets, nearly twice as large as any other Giant God skeleton.
"The Six-headed King... Xian Tu... Gu Pan... Zhou Ji... Ding Ao..."
In Su Yu’s mind, the voices of Noah and Tianfan almost simultaneously rang out.
The Nine Ancient Titans, aside from Noah, Tianfan, Wa Girl, and Timis, the remaining five were precisely the skeletons of the Great Giants: the Six-headed King, Xian Tu, Gu Pan, Zhou Ji, and Ding Ao had finally revealed themselves.
Unlike the bodies of Noah or Wa Girl, which were subject to research or put to other uses, these five skeletons were kept remarkably intact, lying there in repose, exuding an aura of silence, antiquity, and naturally radiating an ancient breath akin to that of primordial times.
The Ancient Buddha, God of Death, Diyalisos, and other Ancient Gods watched in silence. These beings, who had experienced the ferocious battles of ancient times, couldn’t help but recall the harrowing wartime, the once-great strength of these Ancient Titans, feeling an involuntary chill emanating from the depths of their hearts.
Even though they had ultimately emerged victorious, the cost had been the tragic deaths of countless Ancient Gods, to the extent that even the "Twelve Bright Heavenly Emperors," the most powerful among the Ancient Gods, had all perished.
Su Yu gazed silently at the five Ancient God corpses below. Through Noah and Tianfan, he had learned that among the Nine Ancient Titan Kings, the strongest, the Six-headed King, was the very father of the Six-headed Dragon within him, while Xian Tu was his mother, the third strongest among the Nine Ancient Titans. The one with the form of a human body and dragon tail was the second mighty one, Gu Pan. Following them were the Giant Gods like Wa Girl, Noah, Tianfan, Zhou Ji, and Ding Ao. Compared to them, Timis was the weakest and also the latest to awaken.
"Great Six-headed King, Gu Pan, Xian Tu, Zhou Ji... Ding Ao... all awake now, our awaited moment has arrived, awaken — "
Noah and Tianfan released a thunderous roar together, their Giant Divine Will beginning to radiate and act upon the skeletal remains of the five Ancient Titans.
In the primordial times, the Giant Gods had made a pact. From that moment, they had already decided to forsake their own flesh, to fulfill the grand aspiration of uniting the Nine Great Giants. They aimed to transcend the realms of positive and negative, to step towards the ultimate point of evolution, taking that final stride.
For the Ancient Gods, that exceptionally brutal Ancient War was seen in their eyes merely as one process among many on their way to completing this last step — it held no other significance.
Giant Gods are eternal and immortal; death, to them, does not exist.
Now, after eons of waiting, the moment had finally come, and all the conditions had matured.
As Noah and Tianfan’s will vibrated and resonated, amidst their roaring, and under the silent watch of the other Ancient Gods, the five sets of Giant God skeletons, which until now had not the slightest hint of life, began to exhibit extraordinary changes. Gradually, strands of will started awakening from their long slumber. (To be continued, for the follow-up, please visit www.qidian.com.
