The middle-aged woman did not extinguish the Candle of Life as Su Yu had said, nor could she extinguish his Giant Will.
The middle-aged woman was not in the least threatened by Su Yu’s words, because as she reached out her hand, energy converged and her right arm quickly turned into a blue jade luster. She caught Su Yu’s incoming fist and instantly crushed it, her five blue fingers spreading out, reaching Su Yu’s head in one millionth of a second.
"Just over a billion Solar Energy? I didn’t expect you to be this weak; if I had known earlier, you would not have been qualified to make me light the Candle of Life."
A chill filled the middle-aged woman’s eyes.
Initially, she thought that since Su Yu was able to withstand her spirit attack and dared to invade this place, he must possess immense confidence and extraordinary power, which is why she lit Su Yu’s Candle of Life. Once the Candle of Life ran out, even a powerful true god would die. But upon confrontation, she realized Su Yu’s strength was just mediocre, so she could easily annihilate him without needing to waste the Candle of Life.
However, right after the middle-aged woman finished speaking, the situation reversed sharply.
A terrifying and boundless power suddenly burst forth from within Su Yu, and his right hand that had been crushed grew back. Su Yu opened his mouth and let out a piercing scream; the blue palm that was pressing on his face was forcefully shaken off. A hundred billion Solar Energy surged perfectly within Su Yu’s body, causing an energy outburst like a galaxy, which even overwhelmed the middle-aged woman. She grunted and was violently shaken away.
"What? A High-level God?" The middle-aged woman exclaimed in shock as Su Yu roared terribly. His Giant Will carried an immense terror of a hundred billion Solar Energy that rained down fiercely, transforming into a substantial energy band like a light saber that struck the middle-aged woman.
The middle-aged woman let out a shrill roar. Su Yu noticed that though her energy was peculiar, her true divine power was not very strong—around ten billion Solar Energy, which put her at the level of an Intermediate Divine Lord—much stronger than the four Lord Gods of Diya, but compared to this peculiar legacy power, she was nothing significant.
Su Yu’s body erupted with a hundred billion Solar Energy, instantly overpowering the middle-aged woman, with the Giant Will controlling the hundred billion Solar Energy that bombarded into her body.
The middle-aged woman screamed miserably, her body shattered as the hundred billion Solar Energy burned within her, turning her to ashes in an instant. Only the blue arm remained, her body torn apart, and as her Divine Sense surged out, Su Yu, seeing his own Candle of Life about to burn out, had to shout urgently: "Extinguish it quickly!"
But the middle-aged woman’s spirit let out a mad, eerie laugh: "It’s about to burn out, it’s about to burn out, ha, hahaha—"
"Crazy." Su Yu shook his head slightly and had to mercilessly use "Annihilation" at that moment. He converged the hundred billion Solar Energy and squeezed it against the soul of the middle-aged woman, who did not possess a truly indestructible soul realm, and her soul was instantly incinerated by the hundred billion Solar Energy, vanishing without a trace.
The Candle of Life that was about to extinguish, with the death of the middle-aged woman, dimmed immediately and quickly went out, and even the remaining bit of the Candle of Life disappeared.
Su Yu watched the Candle of Life disappear, finally heaving a sigh of relief, knowing that if he had been just a second or two later, the Candle of Life would have been completely burned out, and he would have died.
After becoming a god, this was the first time Su Yu truly felt death.
"It seems divine power isn’t the only thing... This legacy, it’s truly too bizarre; even possessing immense power, it’s still hard to guard against. I never expected Ziye to inherit such a strange legacy..." Su Yu secretly wiped off a cold sweat, both apprehensive and happy for Ziye, but at the same time, he faintly realized that he might have caused trouble again.
Having no choice, he had to kill the middle-aged woman, and the consequences of killing her immediately became apparent before him.
One after another, candles flickering uncertainly appeared all around him, countless "Candles of Life," though not as grand as the one in the center like the Cosmic Tree, filled the space when gathered together, and were lit up, creating a different kind of breathtaking scene.
"Whish, whish whish—"
The crisp sound echoed, and gradually, in the midst of countless candles, chain-wrapped skeletal giants appeared one after another, wandering through the myriad candles. Su Yu frowned slightly, looking all around, at the countless chain-wrapped skeletal giants emerging.
Holding in his right hand the blue arm of the middle-aged woman he had just killed, he heard a "sizzling" sound from within, and soon, energy leaked out, the blue on the arm continuously faded, and quickly returned to normal. Su Yu only needed to use a little energy to completely destroy it.
It seems this is not really the perfect eternal body, but merely a semblance of perfection. This middle-aged woman must have also made some mistakes in her practice.
With the heritage behind this middle-aged woman, could it be that she also trod the wrong path? Or perhaps, in this world, there truly is no perfect path to true divinity?
Su Yu thought of this and hurriedly took out the blue palm left behind by the Light God. Indeed, its blue color had dimmed quite a lot. Su Yu secretly tried and found that he could probably destroy it with energy now, losing the previously indestructible sensation.
Apparently, this blue palm of the Light God, in some respects, is closer to perfection than the blue arm left behind by the middle-aged woman, and so it lasted longer... But in the end, it is still destined to disappear.
"Fortunately, I did not follow this blue palm... otherwise, the flaws would remain in what I cultivated..."
Su Yu mused to himself, while around him in space now emerged countless skeletons of giants clad in chains, each with the Candle of Life burning in their chest. However, these Candles of Life burned slowly, enough to last for countless years, unlike the Candle of Life that had been ignited in Su Yu just now, which had burnt away most of it in the blink of an eye.
After these countless chained skeletal giants appeared, they floated silently around, showing no other anomalies. Then, at their end, from among the many bright candles, figures emerged.
Su Yu reigned in his sword intent; he still couldn’t sense Ma Ziye, realizing that even becoming a true god might not grant the omniscient realm of knowledge.
These three newly appeared figures, much like the middle-aged woman slain by Su Yu, were all women, around the same age as the deceased. One was clad in a white robe, another in a blue dress, and another wrapped in black. What they all had in common was a coldness in their brows, an aloofness that kept others at a great distance.
Su Yu watched silently as they appeared, as the countless chained skeletal giants began to move aside, opening up a space for these three differently dressed women to walk through void.
"For countless eons, to dare cause commotion here... from the major Divine Clans, various god realms, to the boundless Divine Countries... you are the first," the middle woman in blue began with a defiant tone, coldly watching Su Yu.
"Innumerable universes, worlds of all directions, all bear traces and legends of our inheritance. Even leaders of the Divine Clans, rulers of the Divine Countries, don’t dare act rashly here. Yet, you have broken this taboo. In countless years, you’re the first, who do you rely on for strength?" the woman in the white robe continued, her voice just as cold.
"Diya Clan? Main God Domain? Or perhaps the Unfallen Divine Nation?" the last woman in black coldly inquired, her eyes piercing Su Yu like two sharp arrows.
Su Yu silently listened to their questions, his heart stirring slightly; this was the second time he heard the name "Diya Clan."
The first time was from God Diya and the gaunt man among the four Lord Gods; it seems God Diya was a direct descendant of the so-called "Diya Clan," and by killing God Diya, he would surely incur the wrath of the "Diya Clan."
The second mention came from the mouth of this woman in black. The inheritance they represented was obviously grand and sublime. The "Diya Clan" or "Unfallen Divine Nation" they mentioned must be existences that could stand alongside them, which is why they sought to confirm or were puzzled as to whether Su Yu was a true god from these places, otherwise why would he be so bold.
Of course, they never considered Su Yu was just a new god, knowing nothing at all.
A new god capable of unleashing a hundred billion units of solar energy? Clearly, that’s impossible.
"Why won’t you answer?" the woman in blue inquired sharply.
Just now, Su Yu had unleashed a hundred billion units of solar energy, the power level of "High-level Gods." This meant Su Yu was not an unknown minor character; he must have some origins. They were baffled why, after several questions, Su Yu ignored them, simply responding with: "I want to see Ziye, Ma Ziye."
The three women were instantly infuriated, a surge of anger washing over their beautiful faces.
"We don’t know who this Ma Ziye you speak of is? Daring to come here, causing chaos, mercilessly killing, no matter where you are from, today, you shall die here."
Clearly, they had lost patience. Even if Su Yu truly came from the "Diya Clan" or the "Unfallen Divine Nation," they were determined to kill Su Yu here, as their supreme authority here cannot tolerate any provocation or tarnishment.
Upon hearing their response, Su Yu’s expression changed as he said, "You don’t know Ma Ziye? Could it be that you’ve harmed her?" He took a step forward.
