Chapter 1323: Chapter 984: The Ancestors of the Three Clans Appear (First Update)

Su Yu, under the effect of the Giant Will, continuously devoured and absorbed the energy of the sun from the core of the massive cocoon, refining it into his own energy. The growth of the energy inside him expanded exponentially.

In a short time, at least ten mature Children of Destiny successfully climbed out of the cocoon. Unfortunately, all of them became food and sustenance for the half-human, half-serpent creature.

The creature’s body evidently grew larger.

Upon devouring the tenth mature Child of Destiny, it comfortably held its belly and lay on the hard shell outside the cocoon, closing its eyes and falling asleep contentedly.

The size of the cocoon continued to slowly decrease. High above in the distant sky, eight Observers in blue robes were watching everything intently. One of them was continually recording something.

"Day one, basically everything is normal."

"All indicators are within the normal range."

"We still need to keep a close eye on it, hoping this time it can succeed... We no longer have much time to waste here."

The Observers in blue robes conversed with one another, while, suddenly, on the distant cocoon, another piece of the hard shell got blasted away, creating an opening.

The sleeping creature was immediately awakened, and as it moved, a crack appeared in the space before it. When it reappeared, it was hovering above the opening.

From the gap in the hard shell, a Crown Giant, a three thousand meter-tall being along with a humanoid monster made of rocks, were climbing out.

The half-human, half-serpent creature hovered in mid-air, and upon seeing the Crown Giant below, it uttered a slight gasp. Then, it extended a chubby little finger to its mouth and sucked on it, as if it were in deep thought.

Far above in the dark sky, the eight Observers in blue robes took note of everything, all focusing their attention immediately.

"Take note, record the entire process," commanded one Observer with a faintly meaningful voice. The other Observer, who was adjusting an instrument, responded and proceeded to focus the instrument on the Crown Giant and the creature that had appeared.

The Crown Giant and the humanoid made of rocks had just climbed out, much like the freshly emerged Children of Destiny. At first, they doubted if they had climbed from the depths of the earth to the surface, seeing only an empty expanse of land, endless in every direction.

However, they soon realized that they had been devoured by the Beast of Apocalypse. Could it be that they had now climbed out from inside the Beast of Apocalypse and were on its back?

"Uh? That is..." the humanoid made of rocks, next to the Crown Giant, suddenly cried out in an old and shocked voice. Accidentally looking up, he saw, much earlier than the Crown Giant, a massive no-winged creature with a human torso and a serpent’s tail, positioned high above them, looking down with an unfathomable expression.

Upon seeing the creature above him, the Crown Giant instinctively recalled the drawings he had seen long ago in that abandoned research facility. The last drawing, which carried a peculiar aura, depicted a woman with snakes for hair, possessing incredible power—just the image alone was intimidating enough to avoid any contact.

The Crown Giant did not understand why seeing this creature reminded him of those drawings, perhaps the similarity in their human-serpent appearances triggered the memory.

"Tez... Tezcatlipoca... what do we do now..." Although the Crown Giant had lost its tongue, by vibrating the space with its power, it managed to produce a faint voice, yet the voice trembled slightly.

While it was a created being, "it" had once been a true god of a certain tribe, supreme and omnipotent, possessing infinite power. Now, with the aid of the dense star essence absorbed by the Beast of Apocalypse, it had finally reformed a perfect divine body, regaining the strength necessary to escape with the humanoid made of rocks beside it.

Hearing the Crown Giant call the name of the humanoid made of rocks, there was no doubt; this creature was the teacher of Su Yu, the common ancestor of the "Aztec," "Inca," and "Maya" civilizations: Tezcatlipoca.

In those days, after a battle in the abandoned laboratory, Number One in the blue robe, knowing he was no match, detonated his blue heart. That explosion scattered the Crown Giant, Tezcatlipoca, and Su Yu, causing them to lose contact with each other.

Later, the Crown Giant and Tezcatlipoca reunited, and over the decades, using some of the soul-repairing techniques they had seen in the lab, Tezcatlipoca finally managed to restore his severely damaged soul.

After his soul was repaired, Tezcatlipoca failed to find a suitable body and temporarily parasitized among a pile of stones. He used these stones to simulate a human shape, and his "Chaos Core" was hidden within these stones. As for what kind of strength could be exerted, even the Crown Giant was unclear.

"To the death... a battle..." Tezcatlipoca’s aged voice resounded from within the humanoid pile of stones. The monstrous baby had arrived, its terrifying aura pouring down, targeting both the Crown Giant and him. There was no escape, only a fight to the death.

Upon hearing Tezcatlipoca’s words, the Crown Giant nodded slightly, clenched his fists, and was ready to counterattack as soon as the monstrous baby made its move. Although the monstrous baby’s body emitted a frightening aura and its form was enormously huge, the Crown Giant also considered that he wasn’t entirely without a chance of winning.

Now with his internal organs complete, the Crown Giant’s strength had returned to its peak state. Although not a true deity, he was hardly inferior to a common deity.

However, contrary to what Tezcatlipoca and the Crown Giant expected, the monstrous baby sucked on its own thumb and looked down at the Crown Giant and Tezcatlipoca. After a long moment, it suddenly shifted its shape and sped off toward another direction.

There, a hard shell was cracking open, and a Green Giant several kilometers tall was clawing its way out.

Another mature Child of Destiny had emerged; the monstrous baby was immediately drawn away as if, to it, a mature Child of Destiny was the tastiest food. As for the Crown Giant and Tezcatlipoca, the monstrous baby pondered for a long while but couldn’t decide whether to attack them or not.

"It seems it’s quite picky..." High above in the farthest reaches of the dark sky, eight figures in blue robes watched the scene unfold, one of them breathing out a sigh and smiling lightly.

The Crown Giant and Tezcatlipoca watched the kilometers-tall Child of Destiny, who appeared utterly vulnerable before the monstrous baby, and couldn’t help but gasp in shock.

A Child of Destiny that had matured from the fusion of power from nine hundred and ninety-nine different races possessed strength that surely was not inferior to the Crown Giant’s current strength. Yet, facing the monstrous baby, it was effortlessly defeated, which meant that had the monstrous baby chosen to attack them just now, they would have been equally defenseless.

"Let’s go, let’s get out of here," Tezcatlipoca said softly, leaping slightly, and soaring upward, with the Crown Giant following closely behind, shooting towards another part of the dark sky.

"Tezcatlipoca... where are we going now?"

Though the Crown Giant was once regarded as a true god of a race, he was overly prideful at that time, thinking he was the most powerful in the universe, and supreme. However, in reality, he knew nothing and had a narrow vision. Currently, as he looked around the dark sky, he was lost, with no idea where to go.

Tezcatlipoca appeared quite composed and said in a deep voice, "Follow me, I know where to go." Both of them continued flying higher into the dark sky. Suddenly, the Crown Giant gasped, his eyes suddenly emitting a terrifying glow as he saw the eight blue-robed figures floating in the high expanse of the dark sky.

"It’s them—" The Crown Giant’s body trembled violently, the horrifying scene from years past flashing through his mind.

Tezcatlipoca noticed the Crown Giant had stopped and involuntarily halted as well, soon noticing the eight blue-robed figures themselves.

The blue-robed figures sensed their presence but did not pay attention, continuing to observe the serpent-tailed, monstrous baby from high above in the dark sky.

They were not yet aware of the death of Number One Blue Robe, which was actually related to the Crown Giant.

"Don’t rashly—if they have eight..." Tezcatlipoca whispered a warning, recalling how he and Su Yu within him, along with the Giant Will, once struggled against a single blue robe. Although the Crown Giant’s strength had improved, their opponents were eight blue-robed figures.

"This all... is their doing..." The Crown Giant uttered a faint yet certain voice, "If... we capture... them... we definitely... can... find out the cause... and consequences..."

"Yes, that’s likely the case, but right now we still don’t have the strength... Follow me to a place first, then we’ll plan in the long term." Tezcatlipoca eventually pulled the Crown Giant away, speeding towards the high expanse of the dark sky.

The Crown Giant, despite the extreme hatred for those blue-robed figures, had to endure.

The giant cocoon continued to shrink, and after how many days it wasn’t clear, its diameter had reduced to around a light-year. The serpent-tailed monstrous baby was thumping furiously outside its hard shell, seeming very impatient.

These past few days, not a single Child of Destiny had successfully broken free from its shell, and it was feeling hungry and impatient. Finally, it could no longer bear it, stretched its arms, and instantly cracked the outer shell of the cocoon, with a thick slurry splashing out as the monstrous baby squeezed itself inside.
