Chapter 1315 - 979: Ten Kings

Chapter 1315: Chapter 979: Ten Kings

On the continent of "Poseidia," a land a thousand times the size of a star, the "Sun Palace" shone with a radiant brilliance, at its center enveloped by a sun—this was the main building of the "Sun Palace," surrounded by four slightly smaller palaces, the abode of the ten kings of "Atlantis."

Among them, the "Saint King" Bas, was one of these ten.

These ten kings were all undisputed Immortal beings.

Various strong-willed fighters from different races, reluctant to retreat, gathered at the "Sun Palace" from all directions. These warriors included both those who were ready to die and wished to coexist with the starry universe and those who believed that fleeing to the Upper Realm was no solution. They arrived one after another and the people from the "Sun Palace" arranged for them to temporarily stay in Boadia.

Looking at the response from the Sun Palace, it seemed that the destruction of the universe was of no concern to them; they surprisingly made no other moves.

These people were anxious. The Sun Palace merely told them that the time was not yet right, and they needed to wait longer.

None of these people knew what else they were waiting for. The longer they waited, the more powerful the beast of the end would become, and the more dangerous the starry universe would get.

But since the "Sun Palace" remained still, with their own limited power, they could do nothing.

More than a thousand Peak Immortals acted jointly against the beast of the end, and quickly, three months passed since that battle.

During these three months, 999 races—most of them with the capability—had already escaped through their own "White Holes" back to their respective "Upper Realms," including the major civilizations of humanity and some strong figures from the "Western Heavenly Race." These authorities were also preparing for all possibilities. Although the "Eight-Treasures Buddha Platform" left by the Old-Yi Sect was said to have infinite mysteries, no one knew for sure what it was capable of or whether it could truly help them through this catastrophe. Everything was still unknown.

In these past few months, Ada pushed the planet they were on and finally positioned it at the spot prepared in the previous era, within the space of a "Dimensional Funnel" emitting a strange and colorful mist of light.

Despite the terrifying energy spouting from the "Dimensional Funnel," seeing as the universe was on the brink of destruction, the only method Ada could think of was to hope for an anomaly at the moment of the universe’s complete collapse. However, what that anomaly would entail, no one knew.

Their only chance of survival was if the energy spray within transformed and weakened, allowing her to lead everyone to escape inside.

Otherwise, they would all die without a burial ground.

The idea of escaping back to the "Upper Realm" or to places like the "Black Iron World" had been brought up by everybody but was rejected by Ada.

As the starry universe was about to be destroyed, the so-called dermal extinction implied that the hair (derivative worlds) could not cling to anything; if the universe were destroyed, the various "Upper Realms" or spaces similar to the "Black Iron World" would not likely survive, especially since this might be the last epoch where the outcome for all worlds could be destruction.

It was with this thought in mind that Ada did not plan to lead everyone back to the "Upper Realm" but instead went to the "Dimensional Funnel" to take a chance—better something than nothing at all.

These days, it wasn’t just Ada pondering, but also Su Yun, Meng Ting, Zhang Zhongmou, and others—they all were thinking about the same person: Su Yu.

After the battle between Peak Immortals and the beast of the end, Su Yu had disappeared, and his fate was unknown. Not even Ada could contact him. What then had become of Su Yu—was he alive or dead?

Logically, in the face of an explosion’s terrifying energy that could rival the simultaneous detonation of a thousand suns, even Peak Immortals would certainly die without a burial place, evaporated into ash and annihilated in body and spirit.

But this was for the average Peak Immortal. Su Yu was a special case. Coupled with the fact that Ada was still alive, somehow everyone felt that Su Yu must be alive somewhere.

They all had this strong premonition.

"Su Yu’s body isn’t constructed of a typical human form that cultivated into Peak Immortality..." Ada murmured to herself: "It was a cocoon found by the Wooden Man for him... At the moment he was born, it was even like the birth of a universe—none of this is coincidental... And the Giant Will within him, although it seemed to have disappeared after the battle with Number One in the blue robe, it couldn’t have been... that simple. The power of this will absolutely wouldn’t just vanish... It’s very possible it’s just in deep slumber... If Su Yu truly faced a life-threatening crisis...would this slumbering will remain indifferent? If Su Yu were really dead, it would be completely obliterated as well..."

Ada spoke softly to herself, reasoning further, the more she deduced, the more she felt that Su Yu might still be alive—the likelihood even exceeding fifty percent.

"That explosion was indeed terrifying, comparable to a thousand suns, perhaps even surpassing them... Purely from the standpoint of energy level, Su Yu should have perished, but... if that Giant Will still exists... it can’t be destroyed by mere energy..."

Ada speculated, but even with her long life, she couldn’t be certain about Su Yu’s fate, simply because Su Yu’s body, along with what might be a dormant or truly vanished Giant Will, had already surpassed what she could comprehend.

And what had become of Su Yu, whom Ada and the others dearly missed at this moment?

On that day, he had joined forces with over a thousand Peak Immortals from various races to attack the Beast of the End. They were on the verge of destroying it, when, unexpectedly, the beast exploded violently. The energy released from the explosion instantly reached a distance of two billion kilometers. Caught off guard by the sudden turn of events, Su Yu, like the other Peak Immortals, didn’t have time to react. In an instant, he felt enveloped and devoured by scorching heat, then darkness before his eyes, unable to even feel pain before losing all consciousness.

In that moment, Su Yu thought for sure he was a goner; death had come so swiftly that he didn’t have a chance to think before it was upon him.

But there are no absolutes. Perhaps even Su Yu himself wouldn’t have imagined that he would survive the explosion, which was equivalent to the energy of over a thousand suns.

After an unknown period of unconsciousness, Su Yu’s consciousness slowly began to regain clarity.

Gradually, as consciousness returned, Su Yu’s thoughts began to operate, and he instantly remembered his experiences before blacking out: the joint attack on the Beast of the End with the other races, the subsequent explosion, being swallowed whole, and then the loss of consciousness. Wait, was he still not dead?

A wave of hope surged in his heart. Originally, Su Yu had thought he was certainly dead, and he wanted to turn over, but realized he could sense nothing other than a slight trace of consciousness. He couldn’t even open his eyes to see where he was because he couldn’t feel where his eyes were.

"What’s happening... Could it be... Could it be that my body has been destroyed... and for some reason, just a bit of consciousness is left?"

Su Yu suddenly considered this possibility. After all, he had cultivated the Golden Soul Core and achieved Peak Immortal status. It was very possible that the terrifying explosion had destroyed everything else, leaving behind only this sliver of consciousness. Had he become like his teacher, Tezcatlipoca—with only a remnant soul remaining?

He had never known what that felt like, but now experiencing it firsthand, Su Yu was gripped by fear. He couldn’t feel his limbs, his head, truly nothing at all. Yet his consciousness stubbornly existed in a dark void, where nothing else seemed to be, leaving him powerless. The terror and strangeness of this sensation were beyond description.

"How could this be? What should I do now?" Su Yu’s bit of consciousness tirelessly worked through these thoughts. This situations was unprecedented; seeing nothing, feeling nothing. He was alive, but couldn’t feel any sensation of being alive.

After a long while, he gradually calmed down, and only then did he begin to sense a minute amount of energy, slowly being transmitted into his soul consciousness, seemingly repairing the broken soul.

This process was incredibly slow and minute—if one wasn’t calm and attentive, it would be utterly imperceptible.

Once Su Yu felt that the strength of his soul consciousness was recovering, albeit very slowly, he became even calmer. This indicated that his plight was at least better than Tezcatlipoca’s—there was the possibility of self-recovery.

Gathering his spirit, he began trying to emulate the "Giant Will’s" ability, hoping to accelerate the recovery process.

Imitating the "Giant Will" did indeed speed up the recovery. Su Yu felt a slight joy, but suddenly, the darkness that enveloped his sensations abruptly lit up.

"What?" Su Yu tensed up, and then he "saw" a golden radiance rising from the pitch-black void, within which the image of a majestic dragon appeared, elusive yet distinct.

The dragon’s form gradually dissipated, eventually transforming into six golden dragon heads with twelve eyes focused on him—if his body still existed.

"Giant... Will..."

Instinctively, Su Yu wanted to utter these words, though he no longer had the ability to speak.

The Giant Will, which had been silent since his battle with the man in blue robes and which Su Yu had thought to have vanished, had now appeared again. Wasn’t the phantom of the six-headed Golden Dragon representative of the Giant Will’s manifestation?

Indeed, it was the power of the Giant Will that had allowed him to survive that terrifying explosion.

When the phantom of the six-headed dragon emerged within Su Yu’s consciousness, his soul and consciousness power began to swell and rise rapidly. If the earlier recovery had been like a stream, now it was an ocean—an immense, surging sea with overwhelming waves.

His soul power instantly returned to its peak state, forming a new Golden Soul Core. His body was being perfected in the process and gradually, Su Yu’s actual eyes appeared and opened, seeing in front of him red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and various other hues of an odd substance resembling thick pulp. Blue charms flowed within this strange substance, linked by blue tendril-like veins that connected the whole.
