Chapter 1258: Chapter 938 The True God Appears (Requesting Monthly Pass)_2

The power concealed itself deeply, eluding not only Su Yu and Ada but even the God of Netherworld had failed to notice it, until he was startled aware by its sudden onset. In a moment’s time, a hazy golden figure had formed, electricity-like in appearance. With a single outstretched hand, a series of golden lightning bolts slashed forth, followed swiftly by a "boom" and an eruption of energy.

"What——" The God of Netherworld exclaimed in alarm. In that moment, he felt as if a star had been hidden within Jade Emperor’s soul, and now, this star had suddenly exploded, unleashing endless energy swirling destructively in all directions. Instantly, his own soul power came under assault and was left tattered in the blink of an eye.

"This is impossible——" The God of Netherworld howled. He had cultivated for ten thousand years, believing his soul power to be immeasurably strong, and that he was infinitely close to becoming an Undying Spirit. Yet now, how could he be shattered to pieces so quickly, on the verge of collapse at any second?

While Su Yu and Ada were still reeling in shock, their souls seemed to remain unaffected by the massive energy explosion, as if an invisible force was protecting them.

"That is..." Ada screamed, staring at the mysterious soul silhouette formed from a bolt of Golden Thunder and Lightning, as though she recognized something. Meanwhile, the God of Netherworld began to wail in despair, "Impossible, after struggling for ten thousand years——I don’t want to vanish——Who are you, and where did you come from——"

After scheming ceaselessly for ten thousand years and finally glimpsing the chance to rise, he was about to achieve the status of a supreme true deity, to become eternal as the universe itself, invincible under the heavens, worshipped by countless races.

But just as he was about to grasp it all, a massive explosion suddenly occurred, and in the blink of an eye, everything turned to ashes and vanished like a mirage.

Amidst the God of Netherworld’s cries of despair, a voice as ancient as the primal ages, emanating from the pure Golden Thunder and Lightning, rang out.

This voice, though ancient, carried a thunderous echo, resonating with a power that could shake the soul.

"Ants... presuming... to touch... the realm... of... the... gods... can only... bring... about... their own... annihilation..."

With that halting yet unimaginably mighty voice, two striking glares burst forth from the vague figure formed of lightning. Almost at the same moment, a hand reached out and firmly grasped the God of Netherworld’s face.

A voice, tinged with a trace of pity, seemed to come from the golden figure, "You... deserve to die..."

With a tightening of the fingers and a "pop," the God of Netherworld’s head was crushed instantaneously; then came a series of "pops," and as he wailed unwillingly, he continued to break apart and annihilate. The entire world quaked, and ultimately, the god who dreamt of ascension to true godhood was destroyed and dispersed into nothingness, gone without a trace.

Su Yu and Ada quietly watched, incredulous as the once-unparalleled God of Netherworld disappeared without a trace. The golden figure of lightning that emerged from the sea of Su Yu’s soul was clearly not a manifestation of the usual Giant Will. So then, who was "he"?

To effortlessly destroy the God of Netherworld—how unfathomably powerful must "his" soul be?

Su Yu and Ada exchanged a glance, both reflecting on a dawning realization within each other’s stunned expressions. They seemed to have an inkling of who "he" was. Ada’s eyes were filled with a peculiar light as she suddenly exclaimed, "Golden Lightning, the master of that golden lightning... You are the emperor of lightning... You are the... legendary... being?"

"Master of Golden Lightning?" A thought stirred in Su Yu’s mind. The vague figure of light, purely formed from golden lightning, seemed to emit a silent, muted laugh, then, with a slight nod, spoke somewhat hoarsely, "Surprising... that there are... still those... who... remember... me..."

Having received confirmation, Ada seemed even more shocked. Su Yu looked at Ada, then at the blurry, golden light figure before him, and flashes of dialogue scattered through his mind.

There had always been a legend, even before Su Yu’s time, of one single entity capable of using and controlling golden lightning. This being, shrouded in mystery, was only vaguely known to Su Yu, who had no idea what it was called.

Su Yu’s thoughts raced, and suddenly something struck him. He couldn’t help exclaiming, "I understand now, that half of a blue skull, that skull... could that skull be yours?"

The blurry figure of the Golden People nodded slightly and uttered in a halting voice, "Not... wrong... That is... my... remains... I lay dormant... within... for ages... If not for... star... energy, I could not have been... awakened..."

This voice started off disjointed, becoming smoother as it went on. The volume was not loud, nor was the tone deliberately emphasized, but it instinctively carried an indescribable sense of authority, even a hint of thunderous reverberation.

Hearing the affirmative response from the blurry golden figure, a peculiar and indescribable feeling welled up inside Su Yu. According to the God of Netherworld, this blue skull belonged to a true god. If that was true, did it imply that the golden figure’s real identity was that of an actual divine spirit?

Was this elusive perfect sixth class of life form, a real deity, embodied by the being before him? But if he truly were a god, how had he fallen to such a sorry state, reduced to half a skull with his soul rendered so indistinct? If Su Yu hadn’t by chance extracted this skull from a star that coincidentally matched the original owner’s attributes, thus awakening the soul within, wouldn’t this so-called true god have remained in an eternal slumber, indistinguishable from being truly dead?

Countless questions swirled in his mind as Su Yu stared at the vague golden figure. Ada had already started to inquire, "How could someone as powerful as yourself fall to such a state, now only half a skull remaining?"

The blurry figure of light from the Golden People fell silent upon hearing Ada’s query.

After a long pause, the golden figure finally sighed deeply and said, "God... what is it? Does a truly perfect creature exist in this world..."

With those words, he suddenly swung his arm, and with the gesture, streaks of golden light were released. In no time, Su Yu and Ada felt a jolt through their bodies, the world before their eyes dimmed, and then disappeared completely.

When Su Yu next opened his eyes, he found himself serenely floating in the starry universe, the distant starry sky faintly revealing the star system with its ten suns. Ada, coming to her senses, realized she was lying on the ground, surrounded by Black Warriors, Zhang Zhongmou, Qin Jiagui, and others who looked at her with concern.

Seeing Ada regaining consciousness, the people cheered and hurriedly asked her what had happened.

Ada grunted and said, "You all stay here, think about what to do next. I need to find Su Yu for something, I’ll be back soon."

After those words, Ada shot out at high speed, piercing through the planet’s atmosphere and heading out of the star system towards the distant Su Yu.

Her heart pounded wildly, and she thought, "The legendary... it has actually appeared... it’s unimaginable... that individual... has truly fallen... and his skull, it was the True Demon King Crown, it’s just too coincidental, too much so... could this be... fate... is this what fate is..."

When Ada found Su Yu, she saw him floating in the vastness of space with a look of astonishment on his face. Before him, the jade-colored skull shone brilliantly, with strands of Divine Sense spreading from it. Following that, huge amounts of Golden Lightning erupted, quickly coalescing into a golden, lightning-infused Light Sphere.

This Golden Lightning Light Sphere, enveloping the blue skull, flashed and grew larger with each passing moment, terrifying energy being released frantically from within.

Su Yu had a look of indescribable astonishment on his face, retreating continuously, while the Golden Lightning Light Sphere before him kept expanding enormously.
