Chapter 1240: Chapter 925: Get Married and Have Children
Lei Leian pointed at the terrifying star they were facing and said, "We have been living there for these years."
"You live inside a star?" Not only was Su Yu taken aback, but even Ada was startled—had it been claimed that the inhabitants had the power of the Master of Rules to reside within a star, that would have been one thing, but how could everyone from Black Iron City possibly possess such strength?
To touch or dwell within a star, one must—at a minimum—hold the realm and power of a high-level Immortal. To suggest that everyone in Black Iron City had reached the high Immortal tier was something they would never believe, even in death.
"Su Yu, I need your help," Lei Leian took hold of Su Yu’s arm. "The Master of Rules within me has fallen into slumber; my own power alone is not enough to approach it."
Although puzzled, Su Yu still hummed in acknowledgment. The power within him began to be released, while Ada transformed into their strongest stance in the Third Form. Together, they quickly erected an energy Light Sphere, enveloping Lei Leian and the couple Ao Lei within.
"Let’s go, toward that," directed Lei Leian with a point, and both Su Yu and Ada nodded, exchanged a look, and propelled the energy Light Sphere towards the fiery red star sun that faced them.
Though this was a common attribute star sun, it still emitted an unimaginable terrifying energy. It was only by joining forces that Su Yu and Ada could shield Lei Leian and the Ao Lei couple, plunging into the fiery redness of the star sun.
Terrifying fiery flames licked against the energy barrier, emitting a sizzling and grating noise. Su Yu and Ada continuously reinforced the shield. Following Lei Leian’s guidance, they plunged deeper into the star until after about a kilometer, where a colossal black sphere appeared before them.
"What?" Ada and Su Yu were secretly shocked upon realizing that there was a giant sphere hidden within the star. This sphere had a diameter of several hundred kilometers, and at a glance, it seemed like a very small planet.
Exchanging glances, Ada and Su Yu looked at each other bewilderedly. Ada had already started to laugh, "I get it now. This Master of Rules is truly resourceful; she must have found this planet core from somewhere and merged at least three Spirits of the Planet into it, enabling the planet core to withstand the energy of a star. I see now; she must have created a separate space inside the core—that’s why you could live inside the star."
Ada couldn’t help but be amazed by the Master of Rules’ ingenuity in concealing everyone within the planet core and hiding the core itself within a star. After ensuring necessary energy isolation, who could possibly find them?
Even with the Tide of Colossal Beasts spreading across the universe, no ancient beast would think to commit suicide by bursting into the heart of a star.
Lei Leian nodded and said, "Ada, you’re quite clever; it’s exactly like that." The group reached the surface of the planet core, where Lei Leian chanted a Charm, and soon enough, a circular black hole appeared beneath their feet, leading them into the interior of the planet core.
Though the outside world was scorching, the energy from the three Spirits of the Planet merged within the core was enough to prevent its destruction within the star and also shield against the burning aura, allowing those inside to be unaffected by the star’s frightful heat.
Of course, the planet core was situated only on the star’s surface where the energy and heat were weakest. The diameter of a star is about a million kilometers, and the planet core’s position was just a few kilometers from the star’s edge.
Once inside, Su Yu and Ada dispelled the energy and were instantly greeted by a glaring brightness, which soon became a vast expanse of white. To their surprise, they found themselves in an independent space, shimmering with a holy glow, with buildings rising here and there—all the handiwork of the Master of Rules.
Before the Master of Rules had attempted to steal the Spear of Orthodoxy, she had already planned her escape, taking who knows how many years to set it all up. Then fate took a turn, and her soul ended up sharing the same body with Lei Leian, with Lei Leian’s soul dominant.
Nevertheless, she did not abandon her original plan. After striking a deal with Lei Leian, who lent the Master of Rules her body, she succeeded in pilfering the Spear of Orthodoxy and hid away with everyone from Black Iron City in this world she had prepared.
For decades they hid, with the Master of Rules focused on mastering the Spear of Orthodoxy in peace, confident that with true mastery, she could defy her fate.
For all these years, not only could her original force not find her, but Su Yu and Ada couldn’t uncover the slightest clue about Lei Leian or their own family.
It wasn’t until now, with the outbreak of the Tide of Colossal Beasts that had swept across the universe, that by a twist of fate, Su Yu and Lei Leian were reunited.
Gazing at the repeated structures, Su Yu felt a surge of emotion, thinking about seeing his parents, sister, Su Yun, and Zhang Zhongmou, among others, and a ripple of excitement passed through him.
As they descended from above, a woman’s voice rang out from among the large complexes, "Lei Leian, how’s the situation? How are my sister and my brother-in-law now?"
Following the voice, a beautiful middle-aged woman hurriedly approached, and when she saw Su Yu, she paused before crying out in astonishment, "Su Yu?"
"Feng Ming, Senior," Su Yu gave a slight smile and respectfully nodded to the woman in front of him.
This woman was Lei Leian’s aunt and Feng Ya’s sister. When the Master of Rules had led the people of Black Iron City to escape the turbulence of the Black Iron World years ago, Lei Leian had also brought her aunt, Feng Ming, along.
Years had passed, and Feng Ming’s realm hadn’t seen much progression; Su Yu could tell that she was still a lowly Black Iron Ninth Level warrior.
In the Black Iron World of those days, "Black Iron Ninth Level" warriors were already the peak of existence, and the leaders of the Ten Great Giant Cities were nothing but Black Iron Ninth Level warriors.
Of course, for the starry universe, warriors of the Black Iron Ninth Level were clearly the lowest tier.
The call of Feng Ming sent vibrations through the air, and soon one after another figure darted about. Excitement began to spread across Su Yu’s face.
Zhang Zhongmou, Su Yun, Qin Jiagui, Zhao Shichang, Li Dong, Lei Rui, Gu Lingshuang, Ren Honglin, Fang Jiong, Cao Xiaoyu...
One familiar face after another appeared before him, and then a wild barking ensued. The long-lost Doudou also showed up, suddenly pounced forward, stood on its hind legs in front of Su Yu, and even stuck out its big tongue to lick Su Yu’s face.
Because of Ada, Doudou had always looked at Su Yu unfavorably, but it had been decades since they last met, and now upon reunion, even Doudou couldn’t contain its excitement.
"Yu, you rascal—"
Zhang Zhongmou let out a roar and rushed forward.
Su Yu tightly embraced Zhang Zhongmou, and then they looked at each other, and then, they both burst into laughter.
It had been more than twenty years since they last met, and Zhang Zhongmou had become much more mature. He now appeared to be in his thirties and had even grown a short black beard on his lips.
Behind the crowd, Su Yu’s sister Su Ting was also supporting their mother Fang Yumei, who trembled uncontrollably as she hurried out.
Upon seeing his mother, Su Yu was once again overwhelmed with emotion, tightly grasping his mother’s hand, and he was at a loss for words for a long while.
No matter how far he had come, even if he had become a true god, there were feelings that would forever be irreplaceable in his heart.
Su Yun had been staring blankly at Su Yu, standing at the back of the crowd, silent all this time. The years had seemingly changed her personality as well.
Su Yu looked at the familiar faces before him, and suddenly, his gaze fell on the face of a young and beautiful woman. He was slightly taken aback, feeling that she looked familiar, yet as if he had not seen her before.
"Big brother, I’m Xiao Wei, Kou Xiaowei," the young woman giggled. Su Yu suddenly realized that the young girl Kou Xiaowei had now blossomed into a woman as lovely as a flower.
A feeling of indescribable emotion welled up within him. Zhang Zhongmou chuckled and said, "Yu, how have you been all these years? Have you married and had children?" He pointed at Zhao Shichang, Li Dong, and others beside him, laughing and saying, "They’ve all gotten married, now they have several children each. Damn, I’m so envious."
Su Yu shook his head with a wry smile, "Married and had children?" For a moment, he truly hadn’t considered this.
"Su Yu." From another direction, Meng Jun, Zhou Zhurou, and others squeezed their way over, while Meng Ting stayed behind the crowd.
Su Yu smiled and nodded at them. Zhang Zhongmou introduced, "Meng Jun and Zhou Zhurou have become a couple. They also have a daughter now."
Upon hearing this, Su Yu smiled and nodded, "Congratulations to you both."
It was only after catching up that he learned many among them had married, but only a few such as Qin Jiagui, Zhang Zhongmou, Su Yun, and Meng Ting remained single.
Finally, his gaze settled on Su Yun’s face, their eyes met, and having grown up together and now suddenly reunited after many years, they found themselves at a loss for words.
"Su Yun." After a long pause, Su Yu smiled and said, "It’s been many years since we’ve seen each other, and everyone has married. How come there’s no news from you? Did I guess correctly after all, that girl, you’re not going to be married off?"
Su Yun gave a soft snort, intending to retort, but as soon as she opened her mouth, her eyes suddenly reddened, and then tears began to fall.
Su Yu was startled and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Su Yun gently clutched his arm, shook her head, and after a long moment, spoke in a low voice, "I’m fine... you... you’re unharmed... I... I’m so happy..."
As she spoke, her voice broke, and she couldn’t continue any further. (To be continued. For more, please visit www.qidian.com. More Chapters are available and support the author, support genuine reading!)
