Chapter 1238: Chapter 923: Spear of Orthodoxy (Begging for Monthly Tickets)_2

At this moment, the Master of Rules squinted her eyes slightly, yet there seemed to be an unusual change surrounding her. Nine Commanding Spears of Rule revolved incessantly around her body.

"Although I can’t fully control them, I must make a desperate attempt; otherwise, today, none of us can escape the fatal clutches of the Primordial Beast..."

The Master of Rules thought silently to herself. Finally, she formed a unique and essential hand sign, and the nine spears representing the nine great rules abruptly transformed into nine streaks of white light rainbows. These radiant ribbons of light danced and swiftly converged into a single, immense beam that reached to the heavens.

"Spear of Orthodoxy, come forth—"

The Master of Rules roared like thunder, and the heaven-reaching rainbow of light finally burst apart, revealing within it a spear that seemed to be crafted from blue jade.

This blue spear, in shape much like the other Spears of Rule, was not composed of white radiance. Instead, it seemed to be made entirely of blue crystal, faintly exhibiting a translucent texture.

As the blue spear appeared, the Fiery Demon Bull King, suspended in mid-air with thundering hooves and ready to charge at Su Yu, trembled throughout its body. It seemed to sense something and, lifting its head, looked from afar at the spear.

The blue spear, as if sentient, didn’t need the Master of Rules to wield it. It shot straight toward the Fiery Demon Bull King.

The speed at which the blue spear flew did not seem fast, and the power it contained did not appear terrifying. Yet, as it flew straightforwardly strung through the air, both the Fiery Demon Bull King and Su Yu felt an odd sensation.

It was an instinctive understanding that they could not dodge, that their souls would be struck by this blue spear, and then, their spirits would disperse and dissipate.

"Howl—"

The Fiery Demon Bull King quickly came to its senses, unleashing an ear-piercing roar, and with a flick of its huge tail—not bothering to attack Su Yu—its body was surrounded by space that suddenly collapsed inward. Immediately thereafter, its hulking form followed the collapse of space and vanished without a trace.

The blue spear also struck the collapsing space at practically the same moment.

Inside the collapsing space, a mournful roar from the Fiery Demon Bull King could be heard, but then suddenly, all became quiet. The blue spear slowly circled back, humming ceaselessly.

Su Yu, standing close, watched intently. The tip of the blue spear was stained with blood.

Although the Fiery Demon Bull King had been stabbed and had fled with an injury, the formidable power of the blue spear was almost beyond imagination.

Su Yu felt a cold sweat down his entire back.

Looking at the blue spear, he reflexively thought of the "Chaos Staff" that had revealed its true form, also entirely composed of blue.

Watching the Fiery Demon Bull King disappear without a trace, the Master of Rules finally breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed her hand gestures. Then, opening her mouth wide, she spat out a mouthful of blood, her face, however, showing a hint of a smile.

"The Spear of Orthodoxy... Indeed... formidable..."

Then, like a golden mountain collapsing or a jade pillar tumbling, the Master of Rules fell heavily to the ground, her ten-meter-tall figure in white robes disintegrated rapidly and vanished, revealing the form of Lei Leian.

Su Yu’s figure flickered, and he caught the falling Lei Leian, only to find that she, too, had fainted, with blood slowly seeping from the corner of her mouth.

It had been decades since their last encounter, yet Lei Leian’s appearance remained as in days past. At their level of existence, unless they desired it, they could all maintain unaging faces.

Looking at Lei Leian and holding her soft body, Su Yu’s thoughts drifted to the time in the "Black Iron World," to the quest for the "Tears of Timis," and to the moments he held Lei Leian tightly more than once to comfort her through the pain.

"Lei Leian, wake up..." Su Yu called softly, as he continuously transferred his special power into her body.

Ada watched the blue spear turn into a beam of light that pierced the heavens after the Master of Rules vanished; it split into nine and then disappeared into the void. Although the Fiery Demon Bull King had escaped, the death of so many creatures here, along with the massive amounts of life energy and the aura of death, could likely lure the Primordial Beasts again. So Ada wrapped around Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei and said gravely, "Su Yu, let’s leave this place first."

Su Yu hummed in agreement and looked toward the planet belonging to the Amori civilization.

The Tower of Babylon had completely collapsed at this moment. In this great battle, the Amori civilization was essentially annihilated; the planet was shattered to a great extent, and the Spirit of the Planet that had merged into it emerged.

Because the planet was not entirely destroyed, this instinct-driven Spirit of the Planet still clung to what remained of the shattered celestial body.

Su Yu felt a movement in his heart upon seeing this, handed over the unconscious Lei Leian to Ada, and rushed toward the broken celestial body. He destroyed it with one strike, and the Spirit of the Planet, having nothing left to cling to, was fully exposed.

Utilizing the energy of a star, Su Yu quickly compressed the Spirit of the Planet down to a mere few meters in size, then stored it inside his storage ring. Only then did he, along with Ada, carrying the unconscious Lei Leian as well as Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei, leave the area from afar.

As for the stellar sun, Su Yu left it there for the time being.

They flew billions of meters away, leaving the dangerous zone behind. Even if other Primordial Beasts were attracted there, they would not detect them, and it was then that Ada and Su Yu finally stopped.

After stopping, Ada glanced at Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei. Although Feng Ya was seriously injured, with her Divine Realm, she would soon recover. However, Ao Lei’s situation was grimmer; his soul was severely damaged due to self-immolation, and Ada could not be sure whether he would live or die.

With a slight sensation of its small paw, Ada shook its head, looking at Ao Lei, who was now half a body, thinking of the lengths he had gone to achieve immortality, even to the extent of betraying his own daughter, only to end in such ruin.

Su Yu held the unconscious Lei Leian, his special power flowing endlessly as he continuously called her name softly. At last, Lei Leian’s beautiful eyes trembled slightly, and she woke up.

"Lei Leian," Su Yu called again eagerly upon seeing her awaken.

Lei Leian’s eyes fluttered, first in bewilderment, and then burst out calling, "Su Yu—" She suddenly turned and clung tightly to Su Yu’s neck.

"Su Yu, Su Yu, it’s really you! Am I dreaming?" Overwhelmed with emotion, Lei Leian clung to Su Yu and wept with joy.

They had been separated for decades, each constantly thinking of the other. Now, to suddenly meet here, Lei Leian momentarily doubted whether she was in a dream.

"Lei Leian, this isn’t a dream. It’s really me, Su Yu. Lei Leian, how have you been all these years? Where are my parents and the others? Where are they?"

Su Yu let Lei Leian hug him, patting her back gently while persistently asking questions. Not having seen her for decades, he had so many questions for Lei Leian.

Lei Leian had strong self-control. The burst of tears had been a momentary impulse, but she quickly composed herself, hastily wiped the tears from her face, looked up at Su Yu, and with a blossoming smile said, "Su Yu, I knew you would be fine. We’re all good, everyone’s just as well."

Hearing Lei Leian say this, Su Yu let out a long sigh of relief. His heart, which had been hanging for so many years, finally settled.

"Wait..." Lei Leian suddenly seemed to remember something, hurriedly let go of him, then turned around. On the other side, Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei lay nearby; Feng Ya was unconscious, while Ao Lei’s fate hung in the balance.

Seeing them, the smile that had just appeared on Lei Leian’s face slowly faded away.

Although she had fallen out with Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei, they were after all her biological parents. The ties of blood were thicker than water; the bonds between them couldn’t just be severed.

This time, she had learned of the attack on the Amori Clan and, knowing that disaster was imminent, made a deal with the Master of Rules. The Master of Rules took the risk of possible discovery by a betrayal on her part and hurried along the way, finally catching up and rescuing Mr. and Mrs. Ao Lei. Still, the arrival of the Primordial Beast and the unexpected encounter with Su Yu were beyond her expectations. (To be continued. For more information, please visit www.qidian.com.
