Chapter 1164: Chapter 871: Immortal Ao Lei_1

With that laughter, Su Yu gasped in surprise from a distance. He actually recognized the figure that had just emerged from the crack in the void.

It was Ao Lei.

Lei Leian’s father, Ao Lei.

In the past, Su Yu had seen Ao Lei several times, who always wore simple gray clothes. But this time when he saw Ao Lei again, he found that he was draped in a lavish robe, even wearing a high crown that symbolized authority on his head, his expression one of pride as if he was doing well for himself.

Ao Lei’s sudden appearance, followed by two other figures, each exuding a terrifying aura. The Lizard Beast, a totem animal of the Amori Clan from the Ten Great Civilizations, responded through gritted teeth after hearing Ao Lei’s words, "Ao Lei, you’re just the Deputy Tower Master of Babylon; you don’t have the right to replace my Totem position."

"Deputy Tower Master of the Tower of Babylon?" Su Yu frowned slightly. No wonder Ao Lei seemed so triumphant. Had he been promoted?

"Heh heh... I don’t have the rights, you say? Well, that’s debatable..." Ao Lei said with a faint smile, watching the three "Flying Jellyfish" catching up in the sky. He clenched his right hand into a fist, and a "sizzling" sound echoed as one ice sculpture after another formed around his clenched fist. Suddenly, he stretched out his right hand, spreading the fingers of the fist.

"Ice Seal Thousand Miles—"

As Ao Lei’s cold voice rose, with a "crack" sound, everything within thousands of kilometers suddenly froze into a single mass, including the three Flying Jellyfish that had just dived down.

"Lizard Totem, as the symbol and emblem of Babylonian civilization, you can’t even handle these mere creatures. Tell me, what virtues or abilities do you possess?" Ao Lei’s soft, mocking smile abruptly spread as his right hand, which had just opened wide, clenched into a fist again and struck out through the void.

With a "boom," the giant ice block that had formed shattered instantly, including the three Frozen Jellyfish inside, breaking into thousands of pieces. Like a hailstorm, they fell "plash-plash" into the sea below.

The three Flying Jellyfish were annihilated in an instant, and Ao Lei’s strength left Su Yu slightly astonished, while the Lizard Totem watching the scene had no words to speak.

"This Ao Lei... has truly achieved immortality..." Su Yu watched from afar as Ao Lei pulverized the three jellyfish with a single blow and understood that he had attained the power and realm of the Immortal.

An Xue, however, looked utterly shocked and murmured, "The Amori Clan... The Tower of Babylon, how... how could they appear here?"

In the Ancient Life Continent, where all races and creatures had disappeared, even Immortals were reluctant to venture, the sight of the Amori Clan’s Totem Beast and the master of the Tower of Babylon was truly astonishing to An Xue.

Suddenly seeing Ao Lei in this "Ancient Life Continent," Su Yu couldn’t help thinking about Lei Leian, wondering where she was now. This Ao Lei was her father; perhaps he would know something.

Just as this thought crossed Su Yu’s mind, a roaring sound suddenly erupted not far away. A huge, round blob covered in tentacles tumbled out. The huge, round creature, which initially seemed soft and was lying there like a hill, went unnoticed by both Su Yu and An Xue as a living behemoth.

It wasn’t until the creature suddenly rolled over and inflated into a giant round ball, opening a gaping maw, that with a "snap," Su Yu and An Xue, being too close, didn’t have time to react and were swallowed in an instant.

In the distant sea, Ao Lei and the Totem Beast of the Amori Clan also immediately turned their heads in shock. Su Yu only saw darkness before his eyes and knew something was wrong. He feared not for his own safety but for An Xue.

With only a Second Level Totem strength, An Xue could be said to be weaker than any of the primordial beasts found on this "Ancient Life Continent."

With a fierce shout, Su Yu unleashed his strongest force without any reservation. The Giant Will within him boiled, and his massive phantom expanded as he punched out with his Dragon Arm.

With a "pop," flesh splattered, and the body of the giant flesh ball was immediately pierced. Fearing it wouldn’t die, Su Yu punched out several more times, "pop-pop-pop" causing several explosion sounds. The enormous creature was immediately riddled with giant transparent holes. Su Yu then grabbed An Xue next to him and burst up through these holes, escaping. The round creature trembled and deflated like a gasless ballon, shrinking gradually.

"Sacred Eye" activated, capturing the name of this primordial giant beast as "Giant Orb Fungus Beast."

With a shaken An Xue in tow, Su Yu escaped. In the void above, sounds of "whoosh whoosh" resounded as Ao Lei, along with the Lizard Totem and two other figures, were already above them.

Suddenly seeing Su Yu and An Xue here, Ao Lei and his companions were also somewhat surprised.

The bones inside Su Yu’s body had been lost, completely changing his appearance, and since he had also concealed his aura, Ao Lei did not recognize him for a moment. He was only astonished to see that they all had either Totem Level 1 or Second Level Totem realms.

"Who are you?" Ao Lei demanded with an air of superiority, looking down upon them from above.

One of the figures behind him suddenly let out a light gasp: "Is that the daughter of the Loulan Totem? Is it her?"

At the sound of this voice, everyone, including Ao Lei, felt a chill and immediately, with several whooshes, they spread out, encircling Su Yu and An Xue.

"Are you sure that she is the daughter of the Loulan Totem, An Xue?" Ao Lei did not recognize An Xue, but one of the shadows behind him nodded affirmatively: "I have seen them before; I cannot be mistaken."

Hearing this, Ao Lei chuckled twice and slowly said, "Well, isn’t this a windfall? No effort needed after searching with all one’s might." He stared at An Xue, a strange smile appearing on his face.

The reason why Ao Lei and others had rushed to the "Ancient Life Continent" was, of course, because of the rumors about the True God. In these rumors, the Loulan civilization’s Totem had obtained a map that could enter the Tomb of the True God. Her daughter, being one of the informed, made Ao Lei excited to see An Xue here so unexpectedly. In contrast, the oddly shaped Su Yu was overlooked by him.

Feeling somewhat intimidated, An Xue backed away behind Su Yu. Facing Ao Lei with his Immortal aura, she barely had the strength to breathe as a Second Level Totem.

Su Yu looked at Ao Lei, observing the smug look on his face, thinking about everything he had gained by betraying his own daughter, and a strange feeling surged in his heart. Evidently, Ao Lei was thoroughly enjoying all that he now possessed.

"It seems we are in luck to have come here and encountered you. Your mother obtained the map to the Tomb of the True God, and as her only daughter and the future successor to the Loulan civilization, I think you must be clear on the direction shown by the map. Little girl, I will not make things difficult for you. Just obediently lead the way for us, and I promise not only to not harm you but also to protect you."

As Ao Lei spoke these words, his eyes suddenly swept over to Su Yu, his brow furrowed slightly. He vaguely felt a hint of familiarity yet could not recall where he’d seen him before. Disliking this strange feeling, he stretched out a hand, pointed at Su Yu, and commanded, "As for you, you are redundant. An Xue has our protection, which is enough. Lizard Totem, this guy, you can handle him, right?"

The Lizard Totem stared at Su Yu. Su Yu’s realm was that of a Totem Level 1, but after witnessing how easily he struck down the "giant spore beast," the Lizard Totem knew he should not be underestimated. Of course, the Lizard Totem was still confident against Su Yu because it had already reached the formidable rank of "Seventh Level Totem," one step away from Immortality.

Although that one step was a world of difference.

Now that Ao Lei was the vice-master of the Tower of Babylon, his words were commands. Despite the Lizard Totem’s reluctance, it could only grunt and swing its massive tail without warning, slashing down at Su Yu’s head as it spoke languidly, "Kid, you’re out of luck, just accept your fate."

Su Yu looked up as the Lizard Totem’s tail glided down and suddenly asked, "Ao Lei, where is Lei Leian?"

As soon as Su Yu spoke, his voice unchanged, Ao Lei couldn’t help but flinch. Almost simultaneously, one of the Five Great Destructions, "Annihilation," struck out. With a "boom," the hefty impact of the Lizard Totem’s tail and "Annihilation" collided, sending the tail rebounding violently while Su Yu also staggered, retreating through the void.

The Lizard Totem’s strike failed, and it couldn’t help but bellow in rage, its eyes shining with a threatening green luster as it prepared another attack. However, Ao Lei already shouted, "Stop!"

The Lizard Totem paused, and in a flicker, Ao Lei was in front of it, looking at Su Yu with a suspicious gaze, "Are you Su Yu?"

Although unable to recognize Su Yu’s face or feel his aura, Ao Lei knew that voice; it was unforgettable.

Eight months ago, during the battle between Su Yu and the Immortal Aztec, Ao Lei, as an Immortal being himself, was well aware. He had long identified his opponent from the battle against the Immortal Aztec as Su Yu. Then, suddenly losing all news of Su Yu and now re-encountering him here, Ao Lei couldn’t help but feel a chill recalling the terrifying might of that battle. Even now that he himself had become Immortal, the thought still made him uneasy.

An Xue, hearing Ao Lei address Su An as Su Yu, also started, while Su Yu simply smiled and asked, "Ao Lei, I’m flattered that you remember me. Where is Lei Leian now? Is she with you?"

Hearing this, Ao Lei could now confirm that the strange individual before him was Su Yu. At the mention of Lei Leian, he shook his head with a hint of regret, "I don’t know her whereabouts either. I’ve been wanting to find you to ask about her. Don’t you know where she is either?" (To be continued, for the rest of the story, please visit www.qidian.com.
