Chapter 1162: Chapter 869 Spearhead and Fly’s Head_2

Su Yu exhaled softly and quietly returned. At the same moment, An Xue sprang up from the ground, her face beaming with joy as she exclaimed, "Finally found it, that way, in that direction." She pointed in one of the directions.

Su Yu smiled slightly and said, "Alright, then let’s go."

As An Xue lowered her hand, she then noticed the corpse of a Skyrending Dragon lying on the other side. She had been so engrossed that she hadn’t even noticed Su Yu killing the Skyrending Dragon. Of course, her lack of reaction was also because she had complete trust in Su Yu. That’s why she had sheathed her sword and focused all her attention on deciphering the coordinates, finally determining their bearing. Under normal circumstances, she would not have missed such a commotion.

Seeing An Xue confirm the direction, Su Yu felt a surge of excitement too. The two continued to soar across the land, rushing toward the direction An Xue had determined. Flying in the air made it harder to ascertain their bearings and made them much more conspicuous targets, which was far too risky.

The two darted along, evading many monsters, and also encountered several giant beasts. Of course, not all of these giants were aggressive; some, noticing Su Yu and An Xue flying past not far from them, simply squinted their eyes and continued their slumber, paying no attention to them.

But more monsters tried to attack them. Su Yu and An Xue pushed their speed to the limit, trying to either circumvent or shake them off without resorting to combat. Only when absolutely necessary did Su Yu unleash a strike from the Illusory Shadow Dragon on his back, which typically resolved the issue in a single hit.

Back on that massive peak, Su Yu had been taken aback by the strength of the "Colossal Shrimp." But once he descended from that peak, he realized that this "Era of Ancient Beings" was not as terrifying as he had imagined. At least, the monsters they had encountered so far were essentially at the human Totem Level of strength, with the exception of a few odd shrimps, and they had yet to come across any Immortal-level creatures, making their journey relatively relaxed.

Flying swiftly, they covered hundreds of kilometers in no time. Suddenly, a thunderous roar of rage echoed from afar. Su Yu and An Xue slowed down and saw, ahead on their path, atop a small hill, two massive creatures locked in embrace, furiously pounding each other, causing the hill to continuously crumble and shatter. Around the hill lay numerous corpses of giant monsters.

One of the battling behemoths had wings, a long beak, four Giant Arms, and stood a kilometer tall, its body covered in black steel feathers.

The other creature had a huge, mountainous ball of flesh at the center of its body, with four flesh columns, each draped with tendrils of flesh that stretched down. When it spread out its body, it appeared even more colossal than the long-beaked, four-armed creature.

The two locked in a fierce duel, shaking heaven and earth, with an area tens of kilometers around trembling. Su Yu activated his Sacred Eye and quickly identified the winged creature with four arms and a long beak as the "Long-Beaked Tyrant King," while the other strangely shaped creature was called the "Four-Pillar Rock Beast." In his mind, Tezcatlipoca’s voice sighed deeply, "Here are two more rare monarchs from the ’Giant Beasts of Ancient Times.’ Having reached maturity, they naturally possess strength on par with the Immortal."

The two monarch beasts, both possessing Immortal strength, were for some reason fiercely battling each other, making the scene all the more tragic with the countless bodies of other monsters around them.

In the heat of their battle, both the "Long-Beaked Tyrant King" and the "Four-Pillar Rock Beast" were drenched in blood. Feathers of steel fell from the "Long-Beaked Tyrant King," while many of the tendrils on the "Four-Pillar Rock Beast’s" flesh columns had been torn off by it.

Su Yu, who had watched from afar, was about to bypass the fray with An Xue. Although he wasn’t necessarily afraid of the two monsters, there was no need to provoke them unnecessarily.

Just as they were about to take a detour, suddenly, another powerful roar resounded in the distance. Following that sound, a massive figure plunged from the sky.

With a thunderous crash, the embattled "Long-Beaked Tyrant King" and "Four-Pillar Rock Beast" grunted and were flung apart.

Startled, Su Yu couldn’t help but stealthily look up, only to see a creature with the appearance of a fly dropping down from the void above.

This monster, possessing a slightly yellowed shell for a body, otherwise resembled a common fly—except that it seemed as if a fly had been magnified millions of times and coated in a thin layer of pale yellow paint.

When a fly magnified millions of times appeared, Su Yu realized for the first time just how vicious and terrifying a fly’s form could be. Its all-weather compound eyes could observe everything, and atop its head were two curved, pointed antennae. On either side of its body were several long, thin spines. This creature had suddenly descended from the sky, blasting the Long-Beaked Tyrant King and the Four Pillar Stone Beasts away before landing on the ground, from within emanating a bizarre "buzzing" sound.

Suddenly, it opened its mouth, a fierce and hideous maw from which a terrifying roar burst forth. The Long-Beaked Tyrant King and the Four Pillar Stone Beasts that had been flung aside scrambled to their feet in a flustered state, without uttering a word, and turned tail to flee.

These two beasts, each a match for an average Immortal creature, were actually afraid of this fly-like monster?

"Eh, what is this giant beast called? Even I have never seen it," Tezcatlipoca whispered curiously. Clearly, he did not know of this creature. Su Yu activated "Sacred Eye" and sensed from a distance; soon he gleaned some information. Almost everything was unknown, except for a name: Spearhead Fly King.

With its head bowed, the Spearhead Fly King began to tear at the corpses piled around the small hillock.

"This monster is called the Spearhead Fly King, An Xue, let’s avoid this creature," Su Yu whispered lowly, and An Xue nodded. Just as the two of them took a few sidestepping steps, all of a sudden, a "buzzing" sound came from above. Instinctively feeling something was wrong, Su Yu pulled An Xue and stepped into "Endless Sky Soaring," suddenly leaping a kilometer away. To their surprise, the Spearhead Fly King, whose presence had gone unnoticed until then, had spread its wings. Like a pale yellow giant mountain, it loomed over the sky, its 360-degree visionary compound eyes locking onto Su Yu and An Xue.

"Stay back," Su Yu said as a prickling sensation spread over his skin. The Spearhead Fly King bestowed upon him an exceedingly horrific sense of oppression, even more so than the "Giant Jumbo Shrimp."

An Xue nodded and began to retreat. Inside Su Yu, the Giant Will quietly activated to resist this feeling of oppression.

"Monster, if you want to live, get lost now," Su Yu’s voice lowered, and a faint roar emanated from his throat. The Giant Will activated as the monster with six dragons and six wings swelled and rose behind him. He didn’t wish to fight and hoped that the intimidating form of the six dragons and six wings would scare away the Spearhead Fly King.

But, to his absolute astonishment, the Spearhead Fly King, upon seeing the six dragons and six wings, let out an excited roar. Opening its mouth, it spewed forth a copious amount of black, foul-smelling thick juice.

"Seeking death—" Su Yu bellowed, swinging his left hand through the void. The Phantom Dragon Arm behind him shot out with a punch, instantly hitting the Spearhead Fly King’s lower abdomen. The dragon wings raised to block the descending black, foul-smelling thick juice.

A strange noise sounded, and as Su Yu struck through the void, it felt like smashing into an extremely solid iron plate. He failed to break the Spearhead Fly King open, and instead, vibrations shot through his arm causing pain.

"What?" Su Yu exclaimed, shocked as he looked up. The dragon wing apparition was already sizzling from the corrosive foul-smelling thick juice, and soon a transparent hole was burnt through one of the wings.

The body of the Spearhead Fly King fell, pressing down like a pale yellow giant mountain upon the shadow of the six dragons and six wings behind Su Yu.

Feeling as though he suddenly bore the weight of a billion-ton mountain, Su Yu felt the ground underneath turn soft like tofu, and he sank into the earth as the fly-like creature perched on the shadow of his six dragons and six wings, opening its gaping maw to bite down on one of the dragon heads.
