Zhang Zhongmou quickly waved his hands, saying, "Fine, fine, Miss, pretend I never said anything." He thought to himself that Su Yun was too fierce. She was the type to actually hit someone if she said she would. Compared to her, Ma Ziye was much more fun — she would argue verbally, but she would never casually hit someone. Although, when it came to actual strength, Ma Ziye could fight off many Su Yuns with one hand.

Qin Jiagui had already recovered from last night’s disappointment. He took out his map and looked at it carefully, his face showing a thoughtful expression. By his estimation, if they continued at the speed they were at, they should reach the exit indicated on the map in about seven or eight days.

Zhao Shichang looked energetic and full of spirit. The others felt sleep-deprived and were yawning, whereas he felt full of energy. When he reached the second level, not only did his strength and vitality increase, but what made him feel most refreshed was that, amongst their current group, save for Su Yu who was still fast asleep, he was busrting with energy. Just as everyone had finished packing and was about to set out, a thunderous "boom" sound came from the distance.

This sudden event startled everyone, causing them all to instinctively look up. What they saw horrified them: a foot as large as a mountain was descending from the sky, breaking through the dense clouds and landing in the forest, erupting in a deafening "boom" that echoed like an earth-shattering tremor. Even Qin Jiagui and the others, who were some distance away, could feel the terrifying atmosphere and sensation of trembling.

All their faces changed colour. Though this was the second time they had seen it, the sight still shocked them, making them shiver. Their minds seemed to shut down, leaving them stunned.

The gigantic foot broke through the clouds and landed, followed by another foot just as large as a mountain. It fell from another part of the sky.

"Boom!" The ground shook as the terrifying sound echoed. The presence of the colossal foot scared many of the creatures in the forest. After landing, the previous foot lifted and quickly retreated into the clouds in the sky. When it fell down again, it reappeared at another end of the horizon.

As they looked up in a daze, they watched as the enormous foot made several appearances, appearing on one end of the horizon and disappearing at the other. Then, the thunderous "boom" could no longer be heard, and all was quiet again, as if nothing had happened.

It was not until the giant foot had disappeared for a while that everyone snapped out of their trance, looking at each other with pale faces. The excitement that Zhao Shichang had felt about becoming a second-level Black Iron Warrior vanished; his hands were shaking and his lips moved silently, but no sound came out.

Qin Jiagui and Yuan Niping huddled together. Everyone felt a chill throughout their bodies after witnessing the giant foot. Without a doubt, if it had landed over their heads, they would have all been crushed in an instant. Every warrior, be it Second-Level or Third-Level, would have been turned into pulp.

A sense of desolation spread around them.

"Let’s go. As long as we keep moving for another seven or eight days, we can definitely get out of this damn forest and find the exit. No matter how many terrifying and strange things happen in this world, we won’t be a part of it." Qin Jiagui was determined, striving to keep himself calm.

His words were infectious. Ma Ziye responded with a confirmation, picked up several large bags from the ground, and said, "We should get going and hope that we can find the exit soon and that this map is accurate."

Suddenly Zhang Zhongmou shouted, "A beauty? You’re a beauty? Ugh—"

A meter-long arm covered in a hard shell and a bone-knife extended from it. This bone-knife was extendable and retractable - under his control, it extended about a foot and began hacking at the branches, vines, and bushes ahead. The bone-knife was incredibly sharp; it was perfect for clearing the way and could cut through anything in its path.

This time, Qin Jiagui fell behind him, allowing Zhao Shichang to wield the bone-knife and lead the way. They immediately quickened their pace forward.

"Brother Zhao, impressive!" Zhang Zhongmou, who was carrying Su Yu at the back, shouted out.

Zhao Shichang simply chuckled. Despite his nonchalant expression, he was thrilled.
