Chapter 1020: Chapter 765 Demon Marshal_1

Su Yu concealed his own aura and took refuge within the seal of "Absolute Closure," watching from afar the dripping wet black hand as it pointed in a direction—lo and behold, it was towards the locales of "Black Iron City" and "Skeleton Ice City." His heart gave a slight shiver.

"...Go and retrieve the Imperial Crown that belongs to our Supreme True Demon Empire’s legacy—"

As the voice echoed, hundreds of demons, raising their steel tridents, bellowed towards the sky, and the sea water churned continuously. Following the rise of that dark hand out of the water, the vast skull and the majestic black body also emerged and kept rising upwards.

If it were the old Su Yu, he would have been shocked beyond belief at the sight of such a gigantic monster. However, now Su Yu, having seen much of the world, wasn’t startled. An average mature Category 5 Lifeform’s body spanned a hundred meters, and the Azure Giant God he summoned reached an even more towering height of one to two hundred meters. As for the Pear Kadi Mother, one of the strongest Demon Divine Beasts, her body stood as high as five hundred meters, like the tallest skyscraper in the world.

And now, the dark monster crawling up from the sea, its body was even more massive than the "Demon Soldiers" or "Demon Elite Soldiers" and the four "Demon Generals." Its height was an astonishing three hundred meters. However, to Su Yu, who was used to the five-hundred-meter Pear Kadi Mother, this three-hundred-meter tall demon did not surprise him.

He remembered the first time he saw a Golden Eagleman that was ten meters tall; Su Yu thought it was immensely huge. But after becoming accustomed to monsters hundreds of meters tall, the sight of this three-hundred-meter demon left him unfazed.

This last demon that had emerged, three hundred meters in height, pointed, and the others, raising their steel tridents, roared in unison. Soon, the three hundred "Demon Soldiers" marched toward the direction it had pointed, stepping onto the shore, stomping upon the earth with a thunderous rumble as they went.

Sixty "Demon Elite Soldiers," under the lead of the four "Demon Generals," took to the skies.

As for this last three-hundred-meter-tall demon, it sat cross-legged above the sea.

The voice of Tezcatlipoca resonated in Su Yu’s mind: "This guy should be the legendary ’Demon Marshal.’ The legends say its strength is even greater than that of ordinary deities."

Su Yu watched from a distance the cross-legged sitting Demon Marshal. With its appearance, all three hundred and sixty-five Eskimo demons, sealed at the ocean’s bottom, had now fully awakened.

The Demon Marshal sat cross-legged, forming a peculiar hand sign like an old monk in meditation, closing his eyes, and remained motionless, suspended there.

Su Yu glanced a few times, saw no other actions, and after a moment of contemplation, quietly withdrew the seal of "Absolute Closure." In the same instant, his figure flickered, and with a "whoosh," he was ten thousand meters away, speeding towards "Black Iron City."

As Su Yu left quietly, the eyebrows of the seated Demon Marshal twitched slightly as if he sensed something, but he did not open his eyes, still unmoving, forming the unusual hand sign, fixed in the void—no one knew what the three-hundred-meter-tall black giant was contemplating.

Su Yu sped towards the direction of "Black Iron City" and "Skeleton Ice City," quickly spotting the hundreds of giant demons from a distance.

"These guys..." Su Yu frowned slightly. He was almost certain that the target of these demons was probably "Skeleton Ice City." However, why did they call the people in "Skeleton Ice City" traitors of the Netherworld? What was this crown of the true demon they spoke about?

Hundreds of demons, formidable in their presence, went on their way, terrifying the hidden villages and towns so much that, from afar, the sight of these dark, towering monsters seemed like the coming of the apocalypse.

Su Yu watched intently as the three hundred plus demons stepped on the earth, marching forward. Each step they took left a deep footprint on the ground. Moving at great speed, they swept through the land, quickly crossing the "Demon Beast Mountain Range," bypassing the nearly ruined "Peach Blossom Town," and finally arriving at "Skeleton Ice City."

"Skeleton Ice City" and "Black Iron City" were almost adjacent to each other. The arrival of hundreds of demons, with their earth-shaking aura and the thunderous noise of their steps, had already alarmed the Ice City Queen within "Skeleton Ice City" and everyone in "Black Iron City."

The Wooden Man, Qin Jiagui, Zhang Zhongmou, Qing Huang, Zhao Shichang, Su Yun, Lei Rui, various Black Warriors, Meng Ting, and even Dodo who barked wildly—all surged out. Then, from a distance, they saw in the horizon dozens of towering black giants over a hundred meters tall, and on the ground, up to three hundred steel trident-wielding demons, each a hundred meters high, their presence impressively formidable. In the blink of an eye, they densely surrounded "Skeleton Ice City," encircling it completely.

"What’s going on?" The Wooden Man frowned slightly, his Golden Palm stroking his chin. He stood alone at the highest point of a grand hall in "Black Iron City," with a look of astonishment on his face: "These demons have woken up and first thing they do is come to ’Skeleton Ice City’... This is too strange. Is there such deep-seated enmity between them, or is there some other reason?"

In midair, with a "whoosh," a shadow suddenly converged and revealed itself, landing next to the Wooden Man. It was Su Yu.

"Wooden Man, how are things looking?" Wooden Man seemed unsurprised by Su Yu’s sudden appearance and lazily inquired.

Su Yu was somewhat excited and smiled faintly, "It looks like there’s going to be another tough battle today. Those four leading Demon Generals have reached the realm of deities."

Wooden Man hummed lightly and said, "There’s something fishy about this."

Su Yu nodded, "They seem to be looking for the Imperial Crown of the Supreme True Demon... Perhaps the Netherworld people didn’t tell us everything."

Wooden Man stared blankly for a moment and said, "The Imperial Crown of the Supreme True Demon? Supreme... True Demon?" His expression slowly turned from lazy to serious.

At this moment, within Skeleton Ice City, the surviving Saber-toothed Tigers and Mammoth Giants, in the presence of this terrifying aura, were startled and let out beastly roars while the Queen of Ice City, holding her scepter, had her expression turn extremely grim.

Above Ice City, those four great Demon Generals had already descended, gazing down coldly. The aura emanating from their bodies, capable of rivaling a Maya God, had already caused the beasts of Ice City to become restless. The Queen of Ice City and the other Netherworld people felt suffocated, their breathing seemingly out of their control.

"You traitors of the Netherworld, hand over the Crown of the True God immediately. You may yet keep your corpses intact. Otherwise, we will obliterate you completely, leaving none intact, and you shall never rise again," the Demon Generals declared from above.

Among the four Demon Generals in the sky, one carried two massive steel tridents on his back, each trident measuring two hundred meters in length—fifty meters longer than his body. His pitch-black eyes shone with a terrifying light that fixed upon the Ice City Queen below.

The power of the Ice City Queen, which would have been formidable in the old Black Iron World, was dwarfed in the face of the pervasive demons. Despite the evident fear on her face, shock did not imply retreat. The Ice City Queen didn’t say much but suddenly let out a fierce shout, driving her scepter into the ground. Instantly, blocks of floating ice swelled, and Skeleton Ice City began to rumble profoundly.

The surrounding Saber-toothed Tigers, Mammoth Giants, and other Netherworld people started to dodge. In a short while, an Ice Giant, towering a hundred meters tall and wrapping the Ice City Queen within, rose from Ice City.

The Ice Giant howled towards the sky.

"How boring..." The Demon General with the two large tridents on his back let out a thunderous laugh of contempt, "It seems you will not concede until you see your coffins. Very well, we shall slaughter you completely and turn this world upside down. I refuse to believe that we will not find the Crown we are searching for—"

In the midst of his angry roar, the Demon General drew one of the massive tridents from his back, which was twice the height of the Ice Giant and swung it with force.

With a sharp ’swoosh,’ the Ice Giant below didn’t stand a chance as the trident pierced through it, embedding itself into Ice City. The ground of Ice City cracked open continually, revealing the sheer magnitude of divine strength that no mere Ice Giant could withstand.

As the Ice Giant was impaled by the trident and secured atop Ice City, it let out continuous howls. Amidst the howling, the ice covering its body shattered, quickly revealing a skeletal frame inside.

Meanwhile, Su Yu atop the great hall of Black Iron City felt the "Netherworld Skull" in his ring resonating.

With a slight thought, Su Yu immediately took the Netherworld Skull out from the Storage Ring and threw it into the distance.

With a ’whoosh,’ the Netherworld Skull transformed into a streak of light. The withered skeleton, breaking through the ice, reached out a hand and caught the Netherworld Skull.

The Demon General in the sky snorted coldly but didn’t immediately attack, instead, he watched the withered skeleton with a dismissive smile, "I’m rather curious to see what tricks you traitors have up your sleeves."

The withered skeleton, having caught the Netherworld Skull, suddenly placed it atop its severed neck. Almost instantly, waves of golden radiance spread out, and amid an earth-shattering roar, the formerly desiccated skeletal frame began to glow with stripes of golden light. It extended a skeletal giant hand and gripped the great steel trident that had pierced its body, pulling the trident out slowly amidst continuous roars.
