Chapter 147: Chapter 84 Quack Quack Quack Quack Chapter 147: Chapter 84 Quack Quack Quack Quack Wen Yangzhi that damn pervert, his mind is filled with nothing but messy thoughts.
He was stubborn and nonchalant, “If you don’t play, I can improvise freely.”
Yun Yuwan turned her face away, “Don’t.”
Wen Yangzhi asked her slowly, “You don’t want me to follow your directions, nor do you want me to do my own thing. What do you want? Want me to die of repression?”
Her face slowly turned red.
She turned her back and collapsed onto a pile of clothes, not wanting to deal with him.
He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her up; she thought he was going to scold her, but instead, he kissed her—a warm, intimate kiss entangled her, and Yun Yuwan couldn’t help but silently criticize him.
Why is Wen Yangzhi so clingy?
Her breathing was disrupted, and moments later her lips were moist and colorful, “Wen Yangzhi, don’t you have to go to work?”
At such close distance, he casually replied, “I didn’t hear clearly.”
Looking at his handsome, expressionless face so close to her, Yun Yuwan leaned into his ear and enunciated, “Wen Yangzhi, don’t you have to go to work?”
He lifted the corners of his mouth inexplicably, looking in a good mood, “In a bit.”
She questioned him, “What are you happy about?”
Wen Yangzhi replied leisurely, “I like the sound of your voice.”
Her face beaming with pride, she crossed her arms and assumed a smug pose, “What, you really like my voice?”
A shallow “hmm” floated from his thin lips.
Though she was pretending to be smug, his agreement truly made her proud, “Can’t help it, I was born this adorable.”
He looked down with lidded eyes, “At first, I actually thought you were speaking with a pinched voice.”
That single statement froze Yun Yuwan’s smile. Disbelieving, she tilted her head, “Huh? Why?”
Wen Yangzhi didn’t continue the conversation but simply said, “Hand.”
She extended her hand to him, and he untangled a strip of cloth wrapped around her wrist.
Yun Yuwan just saw his forehead fringe fall, slightly covering his deep-set eyes.
She didn’t know his reason.
Because he had never heard such a pleasant voice before.
It was just like the voice he had imagined, one that shouldn’t exist in reality, one he never thought he would hear. If there were such a voice, it was most likely strained.
The only thing close to what he had in mind was the pinched voice of a voice actor, and even that wasn’t a perfect match.
The first time he heard her speak, her voice was soft and fluffy, her pronunciation as clear as pearls falling to the ground, or perhaps it should be called sweet. Yet her voice was soft as if a cloud, relaxed, without the deliberate intention of floating high, constricting her vocal cords.
The first time he saw her, she didn’t speak. Later, during a meal, she tugged at the corner of his clothes and called out, “Brother~ Please pass me the chopsticks~”
He was startled at that moment, turning back to look at her with a calm exterior but an inward shock. His ideal voice type came out of this younger sister who he was supposed to hate the most.
She looked at him innocently, her big, dark eyes like a brined plum, glossy and pure. Her gaze briefly fell on the chopsticks in his hand, signaling for him to hand them to her.
She was his type in looks and voice.
But at the time, he thought she was intentionally being coquettish. During the meal, he even deliberately smeared sauce on her, listening to her soft exclamation, listening to her speaking to the servant cautiously and politely asking, “Could you give me a wet wipe, please?”
Her voice remained the same,
naturally so.
As he bullied her, he couldn’t help but want to bully her more, just to hear her speak.
Lou Wanyi’s daughter, why is she like this?
She was nothing like what he had imagined.
He knew that Wen Wei had brought Lou Wanyi’s daughter to live with them for a few months.
But Wen Yangzhi thought, no matter how she looked, she would only disgust him. He had imagined all possibilities: that she was beautiful or ugly, shrewd and calculating or dumb as a pig.
Yet, what he never expected was for her to appear as an underaged version of his ideal type.
She was actually a few years shy of his ideal image, somewhat indecisive, not yet grown up, her thoughts a bit naive, her face rounder, dazed and easy to bully, always entangled in many trivial concerns.
If she were twenty years old, he would have pursued her enthusiastically right then, but she was sixteen.
If her mother wasn’t Lou Wanyi, he would have been very kind to her, protect her with a bias, give her everything she wanted, and be a good family friend of a brother, but she is.
Because of Yun Yuwan’s arrival, the reclusive Wen Yangzhi had the opportunity to nurture his ideal type.
It was like gifting a scarred Wen Yangzhi with a godsend, perfect and flawless, comforting him for the twenty lonely years he had lived.
He held her in his arms inside the wardrobe, with Yun Yuwan sitting on his lap. She thought of those who were not very friendly to her, like the first time they met and someone told her not to speak with a pinched voice, “Now you see, I wasn’t deliberately pinching my voice.”
