Chapter 134: Chapter 80: Because It’s Yun Yuwan’s Merchandise_2 Chapter 134: Chapter 80: Because It’s Yun Yuwan’s Merchandise_2 Wen Yangzhi remembered that all this time when he passed by her window, she had indeed heard him.
Her eyebrows danced with excitement as she proudly told him what she knew, “I even saw you washing your car by yourself, super serious about cleaning the glass. In your eyes, the car is your treasure, just like I am your treasure.”
He, wearing a white shirt and jeans in the sunlight, held the hose in one hand to rinse the car. The water droplets sparkled brilliantly as they splashed in the sunlight, his rolled-up sleeves revealing strong arms marked with muscle lines. The white shirt was unbuttoned at the top, revealing a white undershirt underneath, with aviator sunglasses casually hanging on the collar, looking both rugged and noble.
It took a while before a servant hurried over to apologize for being late.
He didn’t say much, simply handing the hose to the other person.
At the time, she thought that her brother also had a rough side to him.
Hearing her declare so confidently that she was his treasure, Wen Yangzhi showed a faint smile.
Yun Yuwan asked curiously, “Did you participate in those take over events in the United States?”
Take over is a kind of street racing culture which basically means that at three or five in the morning, a group of rich kids drift and do donuts in their sports cars at intersections, burning rubber while a crowd encircles them, blocking any traffic passage.
As Wen Yangzhi completed the drawing, he added a duck’s big butt, “I’ve never been, but I have a few friends who often organize such things. They race like that in downtown LA in the middle of the night.”
Yun Yuwan got even more curious, “Why don’t you go?”
He replied succinctly, “Some drift, some become disabled.”
Yun Yuwan then understood why he didn’t attend those events.
In his brother’s eyes, probably the activity seemed quite idiotic.
Indeed, driving around with a few beauties in the car, doors open, drifting in circles at the downtown intersections, and ending up with shootings – none of these adrenaline-seeking stunts appealed to Wen Yangzhi.
He just thought they were crazy.
She looked at his face and noticed a distinct feature that set him apart from others; his eyebrows did not grow horizontally but vertically, which in recent years was known as a natural brow but in physiognomy called arrow eyebrows, symbolizing kinglike charisma, indicating he was not one to go with the flow or to resort to opportunism.
It was normal for him not to like it. His life was precious, unlike those who didn’t know their own limits.
Yun Yuwan accidentally looked down and realized he had nearly finished the drawing, bringing to life a round-eyed duck with a big butt, “You actually recognized that I drew myself.”
She had only drawn a few sparse lines for the hair and hairline, yet he had identified her from these minor details.
He drew her as a duck too, one with a big butt that looked like it would wiggle back and forth, chubby with baby fat forming two little balls, as if its mouth was stuffed full, the beauty mark on the duck’s head looking somewhat humorous and coquettish.
His drawing style was quite different from hers; her style was sharp, while his was cute, round, and adorable. Even though they were both drawing ducks, his style was uniquely charming, with the little ducks looking plump, short, and with full plumage.
She wondered if he drew her so adorably because that’s how he saw her.
“Why did you also draw me as a duck?”
Wen Yangzhi was as calm as ever, “If you weren’t a duck, there would be reproductive isolation.”
She felt goosebumps again, “Ew.”
But Yun Yuwan was seeing Wen Yangzhi draw for the first time, thinking that he could make a living off his artistic skills, “Actually, you draw really well.”
Hearing her compliment, Wen Yangzhi’s eyes showed a slight movement, but he said nothing.
In terms of painting, she was the teacher, and it had been ten years since he last heard praise for his artistic skills.
Her phone suddenly rang, and Yun Yuwan saw it was Lin Chu.
Yun Yuwan wanted to reach for her phone, but it was too far away, and being held by Wen Yangzhi limited her movement range.
Wen Yangzhi stretched out his arm and grabbed the phone for her, and Yun Yuwan swiped to answer the call on his hand.
Lin Chu sounded very happy on the other end, “Babe, they have laid out a place for me in Xujiahui, and I want to see what it’s like. Can you come with me?”
Yun Yuwan glanced at Wen Yangzhi before answering, “Will it take long?”
Lin Chu replied promptly, “Just give me two hours.”
She covered the phone’s mouthpiece and spoke to Wen Yangzhi, “Can I ask a friend to come over to our house and wait for me?”
“Just don’t enter the rooms or the study,” he replied offhandedly to her.
Moved by his response, Yun Yuwan uncovered the mouthpiece, “I’ll send you an address, come find me this afternoon.”
“Okay.” Lin Chu ended the call with a snap.
After the call ended, Yun Yuwan found herself unable to snap out of it for a long time.
