Chapter 126: Chapter 77 Molten Custard Bun Chapter 126: Chapter 77 Molten Custard Bun Yun Yuwan looked at him in shock, “Ah?”

She met Wen Yangzhi’s calm, even still indifferent, face.

Wen Yangzhi’s thin lips parted, “What? The antique clock isn’t broken?”

Seeing him say such a thing with a completely indifferent and serious expression, Yun Yuwan felt a bit broken.

She tittered, “Brother, your mouth doesn’t seem to be as tough anymore.”

But she felt awkward, “But you don’t need to be like this, so stiff.”

He ignored her, looked down at the parts, twisted open the top cover of the antique clock, and glanced at the butler, “Bring the toolbox over.”

The butler hurried to fetch it, unintentionally aware he had been sent away.

Wen Yangzhi disassembled the removable parts by hand, and opened the back door of the antique clock:

“Brother teases you, you complain about brother being harsh, but isn’t it good for a man to be tough?”

Yun Yuwan shrank her shoulders, and uttered a sound of surprise, “I don’t want to talk to you anymore, your words are too suggestive.”

She ran away, and Wen Yangzhi watched her leave. She only went to remove her face mask and wash her face clean, before she returned with sparkling eyes.

She suddenly whispered, “How’s your leg?”

He flicked an iron ring inside, creating a crisp and pleasant mechanical resonance, and replied to her:

“It doesn’t hurt at all, brother was teasing you.”

However, under his long pants, a large area of dark purple bruising was evident on his shin, a likely sore spot from hitting her irregular iron flower rack.

Yun Yuwan accused, “Then why did you lie to people?”

He remained unfazed, “Hmm.”

Yun Yuwan was stunned by his thick-skinned response and didn’t know what to say for a moment.

He closed the back cover and easily laid the cumbersome clock body sideways, ready to start disassembling it from the front.

Yun Yuwan’s hands rested on the small table where the antique clock was placed, watching him work intently. The neckline of her sleep dress was slightly open, revealing her delicate collarbones and neck, her shoulders flat and thin, and her bust gathered by the cloth, tight and full.

Unexpectedly he tossed out a question:

“Showing brother?”

Looking puzzled with her grape-like black eyes, she asked, “Showing what?”

The antique clock’s screws were removed by his hands and gently set aside.

Lowering his eyelids slightly, his indifferent gaze shifted to her chest, then his expressionless eyes lifted to meet hers:

“What did you say you’re showing brother?”

Realizing something, she quickly fastened her buttons. Wen Yangzhi’s expression was cool as water, but his words were not, “Buttoning up is useless, brother has seen it.”

The butler had just brought the toolbox over, desperately trying to restrain a smirk and making himself like a silent ghost, stepping away quietly.

What a sin, no mention of having to act like an invisible ghost before coming to work, some laughter simply can’t be held back.

A chill settled over the “corpse”.

Wen Yangzhi was still focused on the clock when she suddenly wrapped her arms around his free arm, hugging his limb to her chest, with pure and innocent eyes looking straight at him, “Brother, will you always like me?”

Everything that should and shouldn’t be pressing against his arm did so.

Unsure why she suddenly asked such a question, but since she did ask, he would answer, “Depends on whether you behave.”

She instinctively prodded, “You won’t like me if I’m not good?”

Without even looking at her, he cleaned a gear and spoke coolly, “If you’re good, we’ll always be together; if not, it might turn into a one-sided love from brother.”

In contrast to the answer she expected, Yun Yuwan pursed her lips and secretly rejoiced:

“It was actually me who had a crush on you for six years, brother, you’re really turning things around.”

His voice was low but casual, “If you said you didn’t dislike brother, you would have been in brother’s bed long ago.”

She felt something was off, “But I was only seventeen back then.”

He simply hummed in his cold tone, providing no further answer, but indicating his awareness.

She stood there dazed, a bit distracted.

The butler saw that the two of them had finally stopped chatting and hurriedly moved the toolbox closer—a giant toolbox.

Not carried over, but wheeled over, a chest half as tall as a person, divided into four or five drawers.

Wen Yangzhi pulled open one of the drawers, which was filled with all kinds of pliers: big and small, needle-nose, wire-stripping, hydraulic. At least thirty pliers were neatly arranged.

Wen Yangzhi picked up a long, slender pair, removed the screws from the clock face, took out the hands, and laid them out on the tray atop the toolbox.

Yun Yuwan couldn’t believe he had such a complete toolbox, “How do you have so many tools.”

He spoke succinctly, “I sometimes dismantle some machinery.”

But Wen Yangzhi wouldn’t mention that he dismantled multi-million-dollar watches, the smart control core of villas, taps designed to change the shape of water automatically— he had taken apart everything from expensive items to everyday objects.
