Chapter 1351: She, Rui Hui, Will Not Fall for This

Chapter 1351: Chapter 1351: She, Rui Hui, Will Not Fall for This

Diwu Zexuan put down the bottle of medicine and glanced at the wailing Tingye on the hospital bed, signaling Rui Hui that she could pick him up.

"I noticed some red blood streaks at the corners of Tingye’s eyes from burns, but I’m not sure how much they’ll affect him. Are you sure they won’t impact his vision when he grows up?"

Rui Hui asked, concerned.

Her medical skills were not as good as Diwu Zexuan’s, but they weren’t bad.

That was the cause of her nervousness.

"Nobody can ensure how long a person will live healthily, I just take responsibility for doing my best now. His future is not my concern," Diwu Zexuan replied with nearly bloodless lips.

Without asking, Rui Hui immediately shot him a disdainful look.

"Diwu Zexuan, if it were your child lying on the hospital bed, would you still be this calm? Have some empathy—can’t you speak more politely?"

"I wouldn’t let any woman have my child, so I can’t relate. Are you satisfied with that answer?"

Diwu Zexuan casually removed his sterile gloves, threw them aside, and smirked coldly.

"Anyone who doesn’t like my attitude is free not to consult me, I’m busy."

"Tingye is Jie’s child, can’t you show a little concern?" Rui Hui was exasperated.

"If he weren’t Jie’s son, I would have thrown him out by now," Diwu Zexuan said with a cold laugh, showing not a hint of jest.

He couldn’t stand the crying of children. The only reason he had tolerated it up to this point was that the little brat before him had lucked out with a good birth.

"..."

Rui Hui met his icy gaze and hugged the little one in her arms tighter, mourning silently.

"Clearly, humans can’t communicate smoothly with cold-blooded creatures. I’d better go directly to Jie—it’s wiser than arguing with you. I fear Jie might get furious because of you."

Rui Hui lightly patted the little one in her arms, seeing him start to fist his hands and bring them to his mouth, she kicked Diwu Zexuan.

"Go make some formula, Tingye is hungry."

"Me, make formula?"

Diwu Zexuan pointed to his own nose, staring incredulously at the woman treating him like a maternity matron.

"I’m holding Tingye and my hands are full. There’s only you here, a full-grown man. If not you, then who?"

Rui Hui was righteous in her demand.

She didn’t find it remarkable in the least to ask him to make some formula.

Diwu Zexuan could afford to be haughty because he had the capital for it. But in Rui Hui’s eyes, there was another crucial reason—he was coddled by too many people.

The more importance they placed on him, the more important he thought he was.

Rui Hui wouldn’t stand for this.

Having managed the hierarchy of service from her youth, she would not cling to such rules after leaving the Adolf family.

"Let him starve if you’re too busy."

Diwu Zexuan started to pack his equipment into his medical bag, casting a glance at Rui Hui, unmoved.

"If you dare to let Tingye go hungry, I’ll hold him and sleep next to you tonight, waking you up with his crying every two hours to feed him. Let’s see if you can sleep then!"

"Go ahead and try if you want me to kill him!"

"I’m not afraid of death. Let’s try and see who’s scared. If I die, it’ll be seen as a noble sacrifice, and Jie will avenge me. If you die, it’s your own fault, you’ll get what you deserve!"

Rui Hui puffed out her chest, her eyes and brows tinged with anger.

"..."

Diwu Zexuan’s gaze fell on her chest, the corners of his mouth revealing a wicked smile.

His mischievous eyes flickered, and suddenly Rui Hui had a bad feeling.

Sure enough, Diwu Zexuan’s next words were, "You have quite a big chest, why bother with powdered milk? Just take it off and you can feed."
