That guy was actually hiding behind the sofa, painfully stuffing two pillows against his ears... covering his ears to steal a bell!!!

As soon as Shen Letian saw Gong Xiaoqiao coming back, he immediately threw the pillows away and lunged at her, "Thank goodness! You’re finally back! This damn kid almost tortured me to death, crying so magnificently too..."

Shen Letian had never paid attention to the baby’s gender, but he instinctively thought it was a boy, which was confirmed when he changed his diaper earlier.

In fact, he had fed the baby on schedule, but the kid simply refused to eat, and he ran out of patience and stopped trying.

The baby kept crying afterwards. When he tried to feed her, she still wouldn’t eat, and he had no idea why!

No wonder she was crying so miserably; it turned out she was uncomfortable because she was wet. Gong Xiaoqiao changed the baby’s diaper and then warmed up the milk to feed her.

Shen Letian had just changed her, so he hadn’t thought in that direction, not knowing that the kid would pee again so quickly!

Gong Xiaoqiao walked out holding the baby and saw Shen Letian pitifully smoking. He had been holding back all day for the sake of taking care of the baby.

"Come to the supermarket with us," Gong Xiaoqiao said while locking the door.

Shen Letian stubbed out the cigarette butt and obediently followed her. He cast a resentful look at the smug little brat who was now full and content on Gong Xiaoqiao’s shoulder.

In the supermarket, Gong Xiaoqiao was struggling to hold the child with one hand and pick vegetables with the other; since Gong Xiaoqiao returned, the baby wouldn’t let Shen Letian hold him anymore.

Every time Shen Letian came close and pretended to want to hold him, the baby would turn his little face away, showing disgust.

Shen Letian’s mouth twitched as he fetched a cart, letting Gong Xiaoqiao set the baby down in it so she could sit; that made things much easier.

The two of them standing together with a cute baby could indeed easily give people the wrong idea.

Gong Xiaoqiao, while picking out baby formula, asked, "Shen Letian, does this child look familiar to you at all? Can you see his mother’s features in him?"

Shen Letian rolled his eyes at her, "I’ve already said this kid can’t possibly be mine!"

Gong Xiaoqiao disagreed, "Even the most foolproof safety measures can fail sometimes, can’t they?"

"Maybe it’s the boss’s!" Shen Letian rebutted offhandedly.

Gong Xiaoqiao’s face darkened.

Shen Letian slapped his own mouth, "Alright, alright, he’s mine, he’s mine, happy now?"

"After all, the baby was left on your doorstep, but it definitely couldn’t be the boss’s, so I think there might be a woman who’s deliberately picking on you!" Shen Letian said.

"Forget it, I don’t want to think about it anymore, we’ll know once the paternity test results are out!"

Shen Letian sighed, "If it were any other couple, they would’ve had a fallout before the results came out! Little vixen, you have to hold on! You must trust the boss!"

"Like you need to tell me that!"

On the way back, Gong Xiaoqiao felt something was off, sensing someone following behind them; Shen Letian, on the other hand, was leisurely sucking on a chocolate bar.
