Shen Letian said nonchalantly while eating, "No problem, no problem, he’s thick-skinned and tough!"

Gong Xiaoqiao glared at Shen Letian and said, "There’s a medical kit in the house, Leng Jing, help Tang Yu apply some medicine!"

"Okay." Leng Jing nodded and took the elated Tang Yu to apply the medicine.

"You little fox! Right now, Leng Jing only listens to you. Even Leng Tou can’t persuade her; you’ve really got to take more care of Tang Yu’s affair!"

Because Gong Xiaoqiao really couldn’t get used to everyone being older than her yet addressing her solemnly as ’sister-in-law’, she let them stick to the usual way of calling her.

"We all have engagements tonight," Sheng Yu replied.

"Once everything’s sorted, I’ll make sure to spend quality time with you," Gu Hangshen apologized looking at her.

"It’s okay, I’m a new era woman; I’m not that clingy!"

As soon as she finished speaking, they all looked at her with disdain.

After dinner, those four were relegated to washing dishes to prevent unnecessary damage, with Leng Jing supervising.

Gong Xiaoqiao had just come out of the bathroom when Gu Hangshen entered from outside.

Just as she was about to step aside to let him in, he blocked her path, closed the door behind him, quickly backed her against it, and, catching her off guard, he lowered his head and pressed his lips urgently against hers.

Gong Xiaoqiao felt an electric tingling run down her spine and leaned against his chest in a panic.
